00:00After nearly eight years spent duking it out in court, Angelina Jolie has asked ex Brad Pitt for a truce.

00:14It's been a little more than a decade after Angelina and Brad purchased Chateau Mirabal,
00:18and now the winery is at the center of their seemingly never-ending feud.
00:23A legal battle that initially began after Jolie filed for divorce in September of 2016
00:27over custody of their six children has shifted to a tug-of-war over the Chateau
00:32when Brad sued Angelina for selling her stake to a Russian billionaire back in 2022.
00:39On July 18th, Jolie's lawyer Paul Murphy told us that Angelina has asked her ex to withdraw his lawsuit
00:45and end the fighting and finally put their family on a clear path toward healing.
00:50While the source close to the matter says all Jolie wants is peace,
00:54two additional sources tell us it's unlikely Brad will back down.
00:58The source tells us Brad has no plans to drop the suit.
01:01Brad knows there will be no resolution. He has nothing to gain by dropping it.
01:06Now Jolie's legal team claimed the actress intended to sell her share of the vineyard to Pitt
01:11until he insisted she sign an expansive NDA, which is a non-disclosure agreement,
01:17prohibiting her from speaking out about Pitt's physical and emotional abuse of her and their children.
01:24In May, a judge ordered Jolie to provide eight years worth of NDAs that she's used with third parties.
01:31A Pitt source says Jolie's side has turned the war over Marival into a rehashing of their divorce,
01:37saying this was a simple business dispute.
01:40But sadly, this legal attack is just the latest example of Jolie harming the entire family by making it personal.
01:47Jolie feels Pitt should back off.
01:49The source saying, Jolie did not want to be in business with her ex-husband, especially one involving alcohol.
01:56She simply exchanged the asset for cash. The money is for the children.
02:01She never pressed charges. She left Pitt all their properties,
02:04and she's the one who tried to sell him the business in the first place.
02:08Yet he was not satisfied, and still he sued her and continues to attack her in the press today.
