The Very First Whiskey Ever Made in The West Midlands!

00:00I'm Jordan, I'm from West Midlands Distillery. We're here at our new HQ at the waterfront in
00:04Brawley Hill. We've moved our whisky production out of our current facility in Rowley Regis,
00:08so Rowley is now going to stay for just our rum, vodka and gin, and we've moved whisky to its own
00:14all-singing, all-dancing facility with visitor centre, experiences and distilling school.
00:19This is the very first whisky ever made in the whole of the West Midlands, which is
00:24fantastic, so we bottled this on Saturday as a little celebration to celebrate the fact that
00:30we have that very first whisky. You are unfortunately going to have to wait a little
00:34bit longer until we actually release it, we haven't got a release planned until July of next
00:38year, but at least it sits here now in our lovely visitor centre for everyone to see.
00:42You're going to be able to book in and get a fantastic experience on both the side of
00:46distilling and manufacturing processes, understand how that all works, tasting of course, a fantastic
00:52tour, and the jewel in the crown, which is our distilling school, specifically the one
00:56where we will coach you through making your very own whisky in a small little micro cask,
01:01which you will take home, age yourself and make your own very bottle just like this for you to
01:06enjoy for yourself and make your own whisky, because not many people get the chance to do
01:11that, so we've wanted to bring that to our experience centre and something that we hope
01:15that everyone's going to enjoy to do.
