00:00Now we caught up in management of Sriram Piston, Indian Bank and Tata Communications, do listen.
00:10Our strategy has always remained the same, our strategy is to ensure that we grow on
00:16the technology front, we have always focused on technology and we have ensured that in
00:21all the segments of the business that we do, we ensure that we stay ahead of the curve
00:26as far as the technology is concerned.
00:28So as far as our existing legacy business is concerned for our piston rings and engine
00:33valves, we are ensuring that we are, you know, coming out with newer technologies with regards
00:39to meeting the requirements of various segments of the vehicles, including vehicles with biofuels,
00:45including vehicles with CNG applications, including, you know, vehicles with hydrogen
00:51applications, hydrogen with CNG blending.
00:54So there are a lot of technologies that have come up, including also vehicles for hybrid
00:59technology.
01:00So we have been providing solutions for all these technologies and we have ensured that
01:06we always stay ahead of the curve with a state of art technology centre that we have got
01:13in our Ghaziabad plant and we ensure that we are able to, you know, deliver to those
01:19technology needs of the customers and we try to be ahead of the curve.
01:25Now as far as other businesses are concerned, you know, including our plastic injection
01:29moulding business, as well as our EV technology, the electric vehicle motor and controller
01:34technology also, we have maintained the same lead with regards to growing on the technology
01:40front.
01:41So that's the strategy and we hope to deliver to our numbers that we have committed to the
01:47market.
01:48So as you said, technology is the main catalyst behind your strategy.
01:55So sir, coming on to companies' play on EVs, you have a subsidiary that's been winning
02:00orders.
02:01What's the current share of EVs in total revenue?
02:04Well, the current share, as far as the EVs are concerned, is small.
02:08We don't normally give the, you know, break-up of the percentage, but I can tell you that
02:12the business is growing quite well.
02:14As I had also given during our investor call presentation recently, we have won some very
02:20nice orders, good orders, that, you know, we are going to service for both the motors
02:25and the controllers.
02:27The good part is, Sheryam Pistons will be one of the unique companies through our wing
02:32called the EMF Innovations – we call it as SPR EMF Innovations – will be one of
02:38the unique companies which will be delivering both the motor and the controller technology
02:42together.
02:43And we are probably one of the few ones who will be able to couple it together and give
02:48a package solution to our customers so that they are able to derive the best benefits
02:54out of the, you know, entire system.
02:58On this front only, sir, are you expecting or seeing any slowdown due to reduction post
03:03fame too?
03:05Frankly, you know, there was a reduction earlier with regards to the – once the subsidies
03:13came down, but I firmly believe that subsidies cannot drive the market.
03:17You know, it has to be driven by the inherent strength of the overall technology.
03:22And we see that, you know, whole thing changing now.
03:26And the good part is that the volumes have again started picking up, and the last few
03:31months have been good.
03:32And with the newer businesses that we are winning and, you know, since the pie is still
03:38very small, there is still a huge scope for us to win businesses, and the opportunities
03:43are large.
03:44And as a result, we see a fantastic opportunity for EMF.
