00:10I think it's particularly important and telling that Damon, at this point, sees a

00:15younger Rai Nira.

00:16At the moment when his marriage has hit a new low, where he's feeling angry and hurt

00:21and his wife says he is pathetic.

00:23It's his idealized form of the woman he loves that comes to him.

00:27This isn't the Rai Nira who would call him pathetic.

00:30It's the version of the character over whom he had some element of control.

00:34Like he did the night he took her to a brothel.

00:36It's the Rai Nira who is headstrong and rebellious in the way he liked, the way that made him

00:41feel good about himself, and the way that he used to get back a bit at vice eyes.

00:46Because so much of Damon's story is rooted in his relationship with his brother.

00:50It's the Rai Nira he wants back.

00:52And then comes the cruel twist as she says she's always cleaning up after him.

00:57When she is condemning his actions, it shows just how misguided Damon has been and, perhaps,

01:03is the closest we will get to confirmation he did order Jehri's death, given she's

01:07suing his head back on.

01:09Damon is not someone who will consciously open up too much or process emotional pain

01:14or regret well.

01:15But this forces him to do that.

01:17In an interview with Screen Rant's Thatiyana Hallender, when asked if this Rai Nira appeared

01:22because she had looked up to Damon, director Geeta Vasanth Patel agreed.

01:26When she explained the decision to bring Alcock back in House of the Dragon, Alcock's return

01:31very much suggests there is an open door in terms of characters returning.

01:35Certainly, it would not be a surprise to see her again, at least for as long as Damon and

01:41Ailee's reverse are at Harrenhal together.

01:43Whether others will be back is another matter.

01:46Casting announcements and trailers suggested Cian Brooks' Emma Arryn will return in House

01:51of the Dragon season 2.

01:53But that's to be confirmed.

01:54Vaisai's Paddy Considine would make a lot of sense, though might be harder to have kept

01:59secret.

02:00Lena, Nanna Blondel could be another option.

02:03Damon's visions open up multiple possibilities, and so long as they're rooted in his character

02:08arc like Alcock's, I look forward to seeing what happens next as House of the Dragon season
