00:00that's what we're going to do
00:00tonight. We're going to talk
00:01about what we're going to do
00:02tonight. Let's go to Fox News
00:02Kelli Haskins. Let's go to the
00:07news. A three year old boy was
00:09shot and wounded as he waited
00:10in his mother's car for her to
00:13deliver groceries for other
00:14young Children in that car
00:16escaped injury when the gunman
00:18opened fire. Fox News. Kelli
00:19Hoskins joins us live from
00:20outside of North Patrol tonight
00:25with the latest Kelly. Mandy
00:26and Catherine authorities say
00:27that the three year old boy is
00:29in a critical condition.
00:31Investigators say this is an
00:33ongoing investigation and
00:35community leaders and residents
00:35are calling for the violence to
00:39end. And we heard the gunfire.
00:41It must have been about 10 or
00:4212 shots, and it was two
00:44different types of guns. Scary
00:45moments when some North ST
00:46Louis residents hurt those gun
00:49shots late Wednesday night.
00:50Little City police say one
00:52bullet hit a three year old boy.
00:53The child was sitting in his
00:55mother's car in the 4200 block
00:57of Evans. It was just before
00:5910 o'clock when the gunshot
01:00happened. Police say the
01:01shooting happened when the
01:03children under the age of 10
01:05were waiting has been injured.
01:06Tony Beard lives on the street
01:07where the shooting happened.
01:07She heard the gunfire and
01:11called 911. The lady there.
01:13Apparently she put up to bring
01:14some water or something to her
01:18aunt. And. She had a car full
01:19of kids, and one of them have
01:21been shot, and she was
01:22screaming and yelling. She had
01:23a baby with her. So I was
01:24asking my son. Does somebody
01:25need an ambulance or somebody
01:28needs to go to the hospital?
01:29The mother reportedly was on
01:31the porch when she took cover.
01:32None of the other Children were
01:35hit. We talk with the older
01:37woman of the ward where the
01:38shooting happened and other
01:40community leaders about the
01:42violence. We have a generation
01:43of young people walking around.
01:45They have no emotions, no
01:46feelings, no empathy, no
01:48nothing. It's ridiculous. It
01:52comes down to a lack of respect.
01:55It's a lack of empathy. It's a
01:57lack of empathy. It's a lack of
01:59compassion. It's a lack of
02:00empathy. This isn't just a
02:01shooting problem. This is a
02:02cultural issue that is happening
02:05within the city. And we as a
02:06people need to do something
02:07about it being realistic and
02:08stop blaming every other
02:08culture for what's happening
02:12right now. Police say that the
02:14three year old boy remains in
02:15the hospital in stable
02:16condition. Once again, that
02:18suspect remains at large, and
02:19detectives are encouraging
02:20anyone with information about
02:21the shooting to contact crime
