00:00And Becky, I want to pitchers do what we have tonight by the Bay Blake Snell, the reigning
00:07National League Cy Young winner on the bump for San Fran on the other side for Atlanta.
00:12It's the odds on favorite to win this year's National League Cy Young Award. Chris sale.
00:16What do you like in the opener tonight in San Francisco?
00:20I like sale under eight and a half strikeouts. And I know that might be a bit of a stretch
00:23for some people considering how good he has been, you know, 32.6% strikeout rate this
00:27year. But if we dig into it, San Francisco at home this year versus lefties, they have
00:32a 21.6% strikeout rate, which isn't high at all. They also have a one 23 WRC plus versus
00:37lefties at home. And that's the sixth best in the league. So I know sale has been great,
00:41but there's a small part of me that thinks the Braves are trying to protect sale and
00:46not going to be pushing him over to a hundred pitches too often because their pitching staff
00:50is not looking good right now. Max Freed came back, but he's still not great. Lopez is on
00:54the IL like their pitching staff is not at a hundred percent and we are getting to crunch
00:58time with the Giants. Very close behind them with Padres, very close behind them. Musgrove
01:02coming back for the Padres. We know good. The Giants have been, I think they're going
01:06to try and reel in sale just a little bit and that's going to limit his potential to
01:10get to over eight and a half strikeouts.
01:12Tell me that wild card market at the season ended today, the Diamondbacks Padres and Braves
01:16will be in, but the Braves certainly playing the Giants today, only a half game up on the
01:20Mets. Every single game matters. And it's certainly going to be a sprint to the finish.
01:24Now we say every single game matters. Maybe that's not the case for the Chicago White
01:28Sox. You take a look at them taking on the Yankees today, heel versus Kai Bush minus
01:32three 30 price for the Yankees. They're not even at home. They're on the road with a total
01:37of nine. Unbelievable. What's your approach to the White Sox? And also that big of a favorite
01:42on the road is insane.
01:43Yeah. That big of a favorite on the road. Like the thing that I would always say, you
01:48know, is back to run line at that point. Like the money line implies that they're not
01:51going to be tested in this game. So therefore it should be a relatively easy win in the
01:55run line. It's probably the best route to go because I'm not never going to lay three,
01:59three 10 on in a baseball game ever. So let's just go to Kai Bush under three and a half
02:03strikeouts. This is his second career start. We look to his, some of his minor league numbers.
02:08He had 11.8% strikeout rate in AAA this year, very small sample size, 10.1% strikeout rate
02:12in AA earlier this year and 11.6% strikeout rate in AA last year. He also struggles with
02:17walks. We have a red hot Yankees offense and a pitcher we can't possibly trust to do anything.
02:23And if the fly balls get going at a guaranteed rate field, which is also a good hitters park
02:28is going to be a short outing for Kai Bush.
02:32Grady Sizemore, not off to a great start as the interim manager for the Chicago White Sox,
02:37but really nobody is. The White Sox have now lost three in a row, a historic streak, maybe
02:42building once again, Becky, I'll quickly hear final play of the day. A 22 game hit streak
02:48came to a close yesterday for Vladimir Guerrero jr. Does it get back on track with a new streak
02:53starting today? Yeah, he gets right back to it today. Let's go to two plus total bases and minus
02:57one 25, uh, one 55 WRC plus, and three 88 Wilbur going up against writing. He's facing Davis.
03:03Daniel has given up a five 63 slugging to write. He's a 1.74 home runs per nine. So
03:07can you get a sample of Vladdy getting back on track?
