00:00The MRT-4 from Edsa Ortigas to Taytay,

00:04MRT-7 from North Edsa to San Jose del Monte in Bulacan,

00:10Metro Manila Subway from East Valenzuela to Calamba, Laguna,

00:14and the North-South Commuter Railway from Clark to Laguna.

00:19These are the routes that will be built in the Greater Capital Region Railway System

00:23along with the current lines of the train.

00:26The LRT-1, MRT-3, MRT-7, and Metro Manila Subway are planned to meet

00:33at the Unified Grand Central Station in Quezon City.

00:36Within a few months, the new route of the LRT-1 will open.

00:42This is Joseph Moro.

00:47In October, the Department of Transportation opened the Phase 1 of the LRT-1

00:53from Baclaran to Paranaque.

00:55That's why the LRT-1 will be suspended during their operation

00:58every weekend throughout the month of August as a preparation here.

01:02We're installing a signaling system in the Paranaque stations

01:06and then we will connect it to Line 1 signaling system.

01:11It will depend on the testing and commissioning of the signaling.

01:14The LRT-1 is one of the four lines of the train in Metro Manila

01:18but it is limited in number and it is difficult for some to move the train.

01:23But the DOTR has a plan to connect all projects of the train

01:27such as MRT-4, MRT-7, Metro Manila Subway, and North-South Commuter Railway

01:33through the Greater Capital Region Railway System.

01:37For now, the connection of the MRT-3 and LRT-1

01:41can be done through a common station that will be targeted next year.

01:46That's one of the studies.

01:47That's the reason why we want to privatize the operations and maintenance of MRT-3.

01:53Once these two lines of MRT-3 and LRT-1 are targeted,

01:57this will be the loop where the other lines of the train

02:01that the government is working on will be connected

02:03such as the North-South Commuter Railway Project.

02:06The DOTR went to Clark-Pampanga where only 82% of the facilities are complete.

02:13This is the main depot of the whole NSCR or North-South Commuter Railway Project

02:17and this is where the heavy and light repairs of the trains will be done

02:21once the project is underway.

02:23This depot is expected to be completed by June.

02:262027 is the target of partial operability from Valenzuela to Clark of NSCR.

02:32Metro Manila Subway can also be connected through a common station.

02:38MRT-7 is still under construction.

02:40In the Greater Capital Region Railway System,

02:42a railway system will be located in the provinces of

02:46Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, and Laguna.

02:49Our dream is that our train system will be operational

02:57similar to the operations of trains in Japan or in other developed countries.
