00:15Obviously, the Eagles played a game on Friday.
00:18Not everyone played, we'll get to that.
00:19Let's start with the Phillies.
00:21Obviously we came in on Friday after the win against the Diamondbacks, the first game of
00:27the series.
00:28Coming off the actually winning a series against the Dodgers, the hopes were, we're back!
00:34We were feeling good about the team.
00:36And since then, just about as bad a weekend as you could possibly have.
00:41The Friday night walk-off first pitch from Jeff Hoffman, the frickin' backup catcher.
00:47First home run of his frickin' career, of course, lose that way.
00:52And then just, then the weekend was over.
00:54Then they just get trounced.
00:55They give up 23 runs over the next two games, John.
01:00And it was bad.
01:01It was ugly.
01:02And it looked disgusting.
01:03It was ugly.

01:05The baseball was gross.
01:06And, you know, there's no change in that.
01:11We know that these guys just were not focused the way they needed to be.
01:17The West Coast swings, historically, we know they're tough on a team.
01:22But man, I truly did imagine that we were emerging from the other side of something.
01:30And I thought that this had started out well, the way we played against the Dodgers.
01:35Even the way we played out the gates against Arizona.
01:39You know, it felt like, phew, they're a tough team, but we're, you know, neck and neck.
01:45And we're showing we got some resiliency.
01:47And then, holy cow, we did not show any resiliency whatsoever.
01:52It was, maybe it was the way that we lost, wasn't it?
01:55It was the Hoffman, unlikely Homer, walk-off Homer last Friday.
02:02It just, you know, holy cow, that's Jeff Hoffman.
02:05That doesn't happen to Jeff Hoffman.
02:06It just, it felt like a blip that we could just say, oh, it's a passing pain.
02:14Never happened again.
02:16But then it did.
02:18And then it got worse.
02:19And then the bats went quieter and it didn't matter how good anyone pitched because we
02:25were asleep at the plate and our approach got worse.
02:30And we started once again, pressing and the leaders got frustrated and story of the, you
02:36know, recent season, we're watching our team look like just a pale facsimile of the team
02:45we thought we had just a, I don't know, a month ago, just before the all-star break.
02:50This team, holy cow, all eight cylinders.
02:54Now we got, we got one left maybe.
02:57And I, I hope, I hope, I, I don't think this is our team.
