00:0048 hours after the student-approved interim government is formed,
00:04hundreds of protesters are back on the streets of Dhaka with new demands.
00:12Gathered outside the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, they want the Chief Justice to resign.
00:18Student leader Tariq-ul-Islam says their fight is not over yet.
00:22Sheikh Hasina's fall is a partial victory for us.
00:33Only when we completely restructure our country and all state institutions,
00:39the judiciary, the parliament, the law enforcement agencies
00:43and eradicate corruption from every ministry, will we achieve our final victory.
00:52Within hours, a new Chief Justice was appointed.
00:55Following ex-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's escape amid weeks of deadly protests,
01:00the country plunged into chaos and disorder.
01:03Students have stepped up not only to manage the traffic, but also to tackle corruption.
01:13When we see the cars of any powerful figure accused of corruption,
01:17we stop them and check their cars to see if they are carrying a large amount of cash or any illegal
01:23items. We check all the cars, but especially the cars belonging to the previous governments.
01:40The Bangladeshi police have been missing from the streets since the fall of Hasina.
01:44Their violent crackdown on the protesters left around 500 dead and thousands of others wounded.
01:51Hundreds among them with bullet injuries are being treated at this hospital.
01:55Even the doctors can't believe the scale of brutality.
02:01After seeing so many gunshot victims, I feel very bad.
02:04My heart aches dealing with the situation.
02:09Most of the victims are young students like 17-year-old Abdullah Rahimad,
02:13who got three bullets in his leg.
02:18I dreamt all my life that I would defend my country and become an army officer,
02:23but I don't think that it's possible with my broken leg.
02:26Now I will try to study engineering at a public university.
02:32The new interim government, headed by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus,
02:36which includes two student leaders, gives young Bangladeshis hope for reforms
02:41toward a brighter future.
