00:00You were talking the merits of Garrett Wilson versus Marvin Harrison Jr.
00:06I'd like to continue that conversation because it seems to have roused many in the cyber
00:12world.
00:13Go.
00:14Yeah.
00:15Look, Garrett Wilson is great.
00:16Uh, so let me just put that out there.
00:17I think he's a tremendous talent and he could very well be, you know, Aaron Rogers, new
00:21Devante Adams.
00:22We're just going to pepper him with targets.
00:24It's going to be glorious.
00:25However, it's the defense on the other side too, where you're not going to get in the
00:29shootouts.
00:30The expected totals for the jets.
00:31I don't think you're gonna have to get pushed a lot of weeks.
00:32Whereas the Cardinals are, it's a very easy funnel.
00:36It's Trey McBride, it's James Connor, and it's Marvin Harrison Jr.
00:41And if you think Marvin Harrison Jr. can't be a guy that all of a sudden just breaks
00:44out and has a huge rookie season, let me take you back a few years.
00:48Okay.
00:49Uh, let me take you back to 2020, Justin Jefferson, 1400 receiving yards, the fourth
00:52most ever by a rookie.
00:54And if that's not good enough, how about let's go one year later, 2021, 1455 by Jamar
00:59chase.
01:00So that was what, just a couple of years ago.
01:02Uh, and then let's take you back to, let's see last year when Pooka Nakuas at the all-time
01:06record for 1486, do you see a trend here?
01:10Okay.
01:11So three of the top four rookie wide receiver receiving seasons in terms of yardage have
01:15been since 2020.
01:17So why can't Marvin Harrison come into the league and at 1400 out of the gate?
01:21I don't know.
01:22I can't think of a reason why, because he's extraordinarily talented.
01:24He's a great route runner, great hands, NFL pedigree.
01:28His dad certainly I'm sure prepared him, but what it's like to be in the league, he played
01:31Ohio state.
01:32So he ticks all the boxes.
01:34And the only other guy that's not from the 2020s is a guy from 1960.
01:37Now, if you can name that name, good for you.
01:39It's bill Gorman from the Houston oilers back in 1960.
01:44So again, think about that Jefferson chase Pooka Nakuas from 2020 to 2024, three of the
01:50top four rookie wide receiving seasons.
01:52That's the league we live in.
01:53And I think if you're going to ask me who has a bigger chance to get to that number
01:57of 1400, it's not Wilson.
02:00It's Harrison and the way the Cardinals are currently structured.
