00:00Hi kids, today we will learn about past tense, so let's start.
00:09Whenever we are writing or speaking, there is always a reference to time.
00:16We talk about things which either talk about something in the past, present, or future.
00:24Like, I go to school daily.
00:29This sentence is in present tense.
00:33I went to school yesterday.
00:37Here, we are talking about something that has already happened in the past.
00:44I will go to school tomorrow.
00:48Here, we are talking about something that is yet to happen or will happen in the future.
00:56So every sentence has a tense whether it's past, present, or future.
01:03We learned about present tense in our last assignment.
01:08Today, we will learn about past tense, that is, how do we write about something that has happened in the past.
01:18I had a great time in party yesterday.
01:23The action has happened in the past and the person is talking about his experience in the past.
01:31So the sentence is in past tense.
01:35Here, the verb had shows its past.
01:42I enjoyed with my friends yesterday.
01:46Here, the sentence states that the person is talking about yesterday.
01:52So it's in past tense.
01:55And here too, the verb enjoyed states that this sentence is in past tense.
