A man is in a critical condition after being shot by police at a hospital in Queensland's South Burnett region, west of the Sunshine Coast. Authorities allege the man threatened officers with a knife in the Kingaroy Hospital emergency room before he was shot in the stomach, suffering life threatening injuries. The man in his 50s is the third person to be shot by Queensland police in less than a week.
