Previewing a Pair of MLB Doubleheaders on Wednesday's Slate

00:00A couple of doubleheaders on the board today. If we can play
00:06both of them in Cleveland between the Guardians and the
00:09Diamondbacks and in the Bronx between the Yankees and the
00:12Angels. The Yanks greater than a two and a half dollar favorite
00:15in both of the doubleheader games on the slate today
00:18against the Angels. Much more competitive between Cleveland
00:22and Arizona. Again, the Dbacks entered today DRS twelve and
00:26four since the all-star break. Victorious in ten of their last
00:29twelve games. Yeah, by the way, the doubleheaders to me and it
00:32might sound odd to say they put the better team at a
00:35disadvantage. Why? You got two games against a bad baseball
00:38team. You should beat them both games. We know how that works
00:40out. You take a look at Arizona and Cleveland. They have a
00:42doubleheader today. If you told them up front, hey, you guys
00:44are going to split. Hey, you know what? That's probably what
00:46was going to happen anyway over the next day or two if we were
00:48playing those baseball games but the Yankees being such heavy
00:51favorites and playing a doubleheader anticipated today
00:54like you can't ever expect the sweep here. It's hard to do
00:58that. You might have to use your closer in game number one.
01:00You can't use the game number two. Maybe one of your players
01:03gets a little bit banged up. You can't play from game one to
01:04game two and you just don't want to put your superstars out
01:07there for eighteen innings of baseball. So, therefore, you
01:09don't have that full gas opportunity. So, I think the
01:12Yankees are at a slight disadvantage. Should they sweep
01:14technically to the better team but how many times does that
01:16play out here? It's a one one just about every single time it
01:20feels the way doubleheaders end up working that way but it's
01:23tough scene for the Yankees. They don't have any excuses.
01:25They should win handling game number one. It's just a matter
01:28of can they hold on for game number two.
