Artificial island ng China sa South China Sea at ilang bahagi ng WPS, aabot na sa 3,000 ektarya

Transcript
00:00China's reclaimed area in the West Philippine Sea is now up to 3,000 hectares.
00:05But the Philippine Navy says these areas are still illegal,
00:09even if they are inside and outside the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines.
00:14Patrick De Jesus has the details.
00:19Based on the BFAR aerial survey,
00:22the various military structures and equipment
00:25in China's artificial island, the Subi Reef,
00:29is the only reclaimed area in the South China Sea.
00:33According to the Philippine Navy,
00:35the artificial island of China is now up to 3,000 hectares
00:41in the entire South China Sea.
00:43Two of them are inside the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines,
00:48the Miss Chief or Panganiban Reef,
00:51and the Johnson or Mabini Reef, which serves as a military base.
00:55The Philippine Navy said that the reclamation activities of China are illegal
01:01according to the Arbitral Ruling and International Law.
01:06Some of these features are within our EEZ,
01:08some are outside of our EEZ.
01:12Is there a creeping invasion? Yes.
01:13And this has begun since 1992,
01:16when we started noticing Chinese markers
01:19in the expanse of the West Philippine Sea and the South China Sea.
01:22As of now, there is no new reclamation activity in China,
01:26according to the Navy.
01:27But it is noteworthy that the broken corals
01:31of the Sabina or Escoda Shoal are being left behind.
01:35That is why BRP Teresa Magbanwa of the Philippine Coast Guard
01:40was deployed there since April to guard.
01:43That is the significance of our Coast Guard ship
01:46almost on a permanent basis there.
01:48That is the significance of the increased patrols
01:50by the Philippine Navy in Sabina or Escoda Shoal.

02:23On July 26, it was monitored to leave the Panganiban or Mischief Reef
02:29and roamed some features of the West Philippine Sea
02:32including the Ayungin Shoal, Raja Sulaiman Shoal, Bulig Shoal,
02:37Hasa Hasa Shoal, and Abad Santos Shoal.
02:40It is not just an innocent passage,
02:43but the activity of the Research Vessel based on its track
02:45is considered to be suspicious.
02:49There is a possibility that it was killed by a transponder or AIS.
02:55When it is zigzagging, it is doing something to other houses.
02:57In our barangay, when people are moving around,
03:01it has a bad intention.
03:02One type of survey that remains to be seen.
03:04But it is not normal for a ship to be there
03:07or a search vessel to be there
03:08and her track is not continuous and expeditious.
