00:35This is the message of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to fellow soldiers
00:42in the rotation and resupply mission of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in the West Philippine Sea.
00:48They were personally visited by President Marcos Jr.
00:51at Camp General Artemio Puerto Princesa City, Palawan today.
00:56During his visit, the President praised the 80 soldiers
01:02for their unparalleled courage and bravery
01:07when the Chinese Coast Guard carried out an aggressive action in the occupied territory.
01:13Commander-in-Chief of the Order of Lapu-Lapu-Kamagi Medal awarded 79 soldiers.
01:20While the Order of Lapu-Lapu-Kampilan Medal was awarded,
01:24Seaman First Class Pacundo was the soldier who lost his finger.
01:28Despite these challenges, you have stood up and upheld the fundamental principles
01:34that binds all of us Filipinos.
01:36A mutual respect for life, for dignity, and for community.
01:41We will never bow down to anyone.
01:48Today, as your Commander-in-Chief, I have never been prouder of the brave women, men,
01:54and not just the Western Command, but the entire Armed Forces as I am today.
02:00The soldiers were encouraged by the Executive Board to continue their defense of the country
02:07with respect and integrity.
02:09President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. also encouraged the continued support of the soldiers
02:15who are fighting for the security and peace of the country.
02:21I reassure you that you have the entire nation behind you,
02:26praying for your safety, praying for your success.
02:30The Filipino people is grateful for your dedicated service and to the families that support you.
