00:00The Philippine National Volleyball Federation and Japan Volleyball Association led the Volleyball Equipment Ceremony in Taguig City yesterday.

00:07Jamaica Bayaka has the details.

00:12Japan Volleyball Association has formally teamed up with Philippine National Volleyball Federation to promote volleyball in the Philippines and Asia.

00:20The FIVB Executive Vice President and TNVFAVC President Ramon Tatsuzada said in the ceremony that volleyball supplies benefit the grassroots program in the country.

00:33According to Tatsuzada, this will help the calming hosting of the Philippines in this year's FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championships.

00:42In Japan, they have what they call a ball bank.

00:46And every year, I always request my 300 balls, 200 balls.

00:51So, this is the first installment.

00:53But this time, it was not directly sent to us that we have to pay the freight.

00:58It was through the Embassy of Japan.

01:00That's why now we are involved with the Ambassador and the Consul General.

01:04Because we have a very close collaboration, because most of our teams are always going to Japan.

01:08We have invited President Marcos and of course the First Lady to do the ceremonial serve for this.

01:17Ramon added that volleyball fans should watch out for the upcoming prestigious league.

01:22Meanwhile, Alas Filipinas Men's Team will initiate a series of training camps that will possibly held in Portugal, Spain, Japan, and Italy.

01:31My target here is that for them to stay outside of the Philippines for the next three or four months.

01:36And then we will come back here for the 100 days to go, which is about June.

01:41We are trying to arrange a packet tournament against Korea, Japan, Philippines, and one European team.

01:48It's like a packet tournament weekend.

01:49It's like a test event, 100 days to go before the World Championship.

01:53The FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championships will kick off on September 12 to 28 at the Big Dome and Mall of Asia Arena.
