00:00Scottie, nobody was more down on the Yankees, maybe aside from our pal Mike Carver.
00:05But aside from Mike Carver, me, right?
00:07Like they were disastrous for about seven or eight weeks.
00:11They had one of the worst records in the American League from Father's Day until the end of
00:15July.
00:16But that Boston Saturday night win down to their last strike, getting the big game tying
00:22hit from Grisham and winning that game, it kind of has been a springboard for them since
00:27they've won three consecutive series.
00:30You mentioned the idea of getting Jazz Chisholm and kind of lengthening out the lineup and
00:34the fact that they're young guys are finally giving them a boost.
00:38Austin Wells has played really well.
00:40Volpe, who was kind of symbolic for the Yankees season as a whole, because when they were
00:45going great in April, he was going great.
00:47When they stunk up the joint, he stunk up the joint.
00:50And since he's been hitting again, down at the bottom of the order, not putting as much
00:54pressure on him, all of a sudden the Yankees have taken off.
00:58You need guys other than judge and Soto to go and compliment this lineup.
01:03But I think the fact that the Yankees survive this nightmarish stretch from June into July,
01:09Scotty, I thought the Orioles would be more aggressive at the deadline.
01:13I don't love what I've seen from them over the last few weeks.
01:17And I kind of think it's there for the taking.
01:19I think the Yankees at this point in time are going to find a way to win the American
01:23League East, which is something, by the way, I wouldn't have said a month ago.
01:26No chance.
