00:00Well, thank you, but I also think that putting your mental health first and
00:04taking time for yourself, whether you're in sports or not, it creates longevity in
00:09sports specifically, but also for just a better, healthier lifestyle. So I think
00:14it's really important that we put our mental health first and then everything
00:17else will fall into place. So thank you for that. And then I love Rebecca. She's
00:21absolutely amazing. She's an amazing person and even better gymnast. I can't
00:26say enough good things about her. She keeps me on my toes. She makes me want to
00:30perform better. She's very, very talented, so I see the longevity in the sport for
00:35her being very long. So I'm excited to see what's next for her to accomplish, but
00:40right now I think she's gonna take some time and relax, as all of us should, you
00:43know. But yeah, I love Rebecca. She's incredible. The gentleman in the front.
00:50For Simone and Jordan, there was quite a moment that's going a bit viral on
00:58social media when Rebecca gets the gold and you two decide to show your respect.
01:06It was quite moving. Talked to some Brazilian people who were quite moved by
01:10it. What gave you the idea? Was it just spontaneous? And tell us what you did.
01:16Rebecca's, she's so amazing. She's queen. And first it was an all-black podium, so
01:23that was super exciting for us. But then Jordan was like, should we bow to her? And
01:27I was like, absolutely. So we're like, are we gonna do it now? And then that's why we
01:31did it. But she's such an excitement to watch. And then all the fans in the
01:35crowd always cheering for her. So it just, it was just the right thing to do. And
01:40can we get a shout out for Houston for both of you? Yes, shout out to Houston.
01:44Thanks everyone for all the love, the support. We couldn't have done it without
01:48you guys, so thank you so much. And yes, definitely a redemption tour. I mean, we
01:53did, I think personally, Team USA did such an amazing job out here on the
01:57gymnastics floor. So I can't, there's nothing, I don't know, there's nothing
02:03left. We did our job. You know what I'm saying? So yeah, it's hard, but we did it.
02:12Hi guys, Will Graves, Associated Press. Simone, did you kind of set what you,
02:17what you wanted to prove to yourself, doing this to yourself at these
02:20Olympics? What are you gonna be, what are you gonna take maybe away from
02:23this experience? No, I've accomplished way more than my wildest dreams, not just
02:29at this Olympics, but in the sport. So I can't be mad at my performances. A couple
02:33years ago, I didn't think I'd be back here at an Olympic Games. So competing
02:37and then walking away with four medals, I'm not mad about it. I'm pretty proud of
02:41myself and it's always so exciting to compete and yeah. Had a beam final before.
02:48No, and you know, beam final is always the most stressful, but usually we have
02:56like music or background noise, whatever that may be. And honestly, we do better in
03:00environments when there's noise going on because it feels most like practice. So
03:05today, like you could hear some of the Android ringtones going off, the
03:10photo clickers, whatever that was. And so, you know, you're trying to stay in your
03:13zone and then people start cheering and then the shushing gets louder. So really
03:17they should be shushed because they're louder than them. I don't know, it was
03:21really weird and awkward and we've asked several times if we could have some
03:24music or some background noise. So I am not really sure what happened there, but
03:29yeah, not our favorite. None of us liked it. Yeah, it was an odd beam final. Yeah.
03:38Can we have a question for our Italian? Yeah, she's, yeah, to go off of what she was
03:44saying, you know, she's an icon, a legend herself. So I feel like being recognized
03:48is what everybody should do when it comes to somebody who's put in the work,
03:52put in the dedication. So yeah, in that moment I was like, you know what? First
03:56off, again, yes, it was an all-black podium. Second off, why don't we just give her
04:00flowers? She's given, you know, not only has she given Simone her flowers, but a
04:03lot of us in the United States are flowers as well. So giving it back is
04:06what makes it so beautiful. So I felt like it was needed. I'm gonna take the
04:11lady in the back. That is very true. Yeah, shout out to H-Town. They really
04:16supported us. I have no words either. You literally took them out of my mouth. So
04:22what do I say? I think the biggest thing with the Redemption Tour is a lot of
04:26people were asking, like, what is the Redemption Tour? And the Redemption Tour
04:30is basically all of us individually had this one goal for ourselves. So that's
04:34why we call it a Redemption Tour, and obviously as a team as well. But
04:37individually, each and every one of us came out here, did what we needed to do,
04:41and I couldn't be more proud of the girls. You know, obviously there were some
04:45ups and downs, but the strive and the thrive that they've given within
04:48themselves, the dedication, the tears, the sweat, whatever it is, we all did that
04:54within our work. So I think, you know, USA did what they needed to do, and
04:58hopefully everybody recognizes that a little different this time than, you know,
05:03four years ago.
05:33And it was like this, I have an excellent multidisciplinary team, I have my coach, I have the girls, and the focus as well, right? The will to want to make it happen, even on the bad days, the days that are excellent, with fear, without fear, it's you going to do it, you know? Sometimes I die of fear, it's normal, it's part of the human being, but there are days that are lighter, and I felt that all the days here were very light, you know?
06:02Before coming here, I went through some situations, I think I hurt my shoulder, I had pain, these things and such, so this ends up making us kind of like this, you're like, will I be able to do it? Will it work? I don't know, it brings you doubts, you know?
06:17But the days were getting better, so my confidence was increasing again, it was coming back again, and I think that's it, to show that it's possible.
06:25It was with a lot of affection, right? We were back there talking about everything that was happening, they are the best in the world, so having a scene like this means a lot to me, it's something very great, I feel very honored, and we're always rooting for the best.
06:45As I said, we know how hard it is to be in here, we saw how hard it was for everyone, so it was an honor, I'm very happy.
06:55I was rooting a lot for the girls, the good thing about being one of the first ones is that afterwards you're just like the penguins in Madagascar, right? You just smile.
07:04Because we're there rooting a lot, we know how hard it is, it was a very difficult final, with a lot of good girls there, but I don't know, I was thinking, I think...
07:17Before I left, I was focused, I was very happy, but then I didn't really think about anything.
07:24Yeah, there's a lot to say.
