The Blackpool Hotel is located in the town centre on Albert Road. The hotel closed its doors over the weekend, displacing a number of guests, the majority of which were attending the punk rebellion festival at the Winter Gardens.

00:20Blackpool Hotel on Albert Road, which has closed its doors this weekend after being
00:24condemned by the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Department, which displaced many guests, many
00:29of which were attending the Rebellion Festival. Lancashire Fire and Rescue issued a statement
00:34saying, following breaches of the regulatory reform, the fire safety audit from 2005 identified
00:40as the hotel in Blackpool. The premises have been prohibited, which means the guests had
00:45to leave. We are working closely with the responsible persons to ensure the safety of
00:48the building before it trades as a hotel again. The hotel has been approached for comment
00:54but we have yet to hear back.
