00:42According to the numbers of the electoral institution,
00:45Maduro won with more than 51% of the votes
00:48and Edmundo González obtained more than 43%.
00:52Later on, the Supreme Court of Justice would also ratify these numbers.
00:57The president, Nicolás Maduro, was the one who requested
01:00the justice entity to legitimise the result.
01:03After visiting the Supreme Court,
01:05Maduro held a press conference with foreign media.
01:08Among other accusations, he pointed out
01:11that members of MarĂa Corina Machado's party
01:14were planning an attack in the capital city.
01:17He also accused the United States of preparing a coup d'Ă©tat against Venezuela,
01:22after Secretary of State Antony Blinken said
01:25that this country recognised Edmundo González
01:28as the new president of the South American nation.
01:31He also accused ex-platform owner Elon Musk,
01:34Argentinian president Javier Millet,
01:36and other world leaders of being behind a cyber coup.
01:40Meanwhile, both the opposition and supporters of Nicolás Maduro
01:44have called for two marches today, Saturday,
01:47in different parts of the capital.
01:49The opposition in the east in support of Edmundo González
01:53and the government in the west to celebrate
01:56what they call the victory of the peace.
