00:00Are you or is someone you know waiting on AS or A level results? Well the wait is nearly
00:07over. The 15th of August will see hordes of students finding out how they did in their
00:11exams and whether or not they're able to take the next step they had planned. Results are
00:15usually available to pick up from your school or college from 8am on the day or available
00:20to view online. Make sure to double check as it can vary depending on the institution.
00:25For those who didn't quite make the grade but still want to go to uni, all is not lost.
00:29UCAS University Clearing matches students with universities and courses where there's
00:33still space. Students can use this process if they don't get the grades they need for
00:38their conditional offer, don't have any offers they want to accept, decide to apply for uni
00:42after the end of June or get better grades than predicted. Clearing opens on the 5th
00:47of July and closes on the 21st of October. With so many waiting months now, with bated
00:52breath are exams the future of testing academic aptitude? Should they be scrapped as they
00:56don't suit everyone or are they a good measure of achievement? And do you think you would
