Legendary popstar Craig David hosted an incredible rave - in a London launderette.

Taking place outside of working hours, the surprise performance lasted 15-minutes, the same speed as a fast wash, entertaining customers while they waited for their load to finish.

The artist turned DJ played a series of his top tunes from 'fill me in' to 'rewind' as the crowd danced along in the neon-lit laundry room.

The Persil Wonder Wash ‘Fast Wash & Rave’ was created after research, into 2,000 adults, found the younger generation are five to 9ers, with 25-34-year-olds hustling to get a lot of tasks done quickly in the hours before and after their day job.

With 49 per cent following the productivity trend to make the most of the hours outside of work.

Rather than sleeping and getting ready for work, 20 per cent get active at sunrise or sunset to tidy the house.

While others will go for an invigorating walk, get a workout done in the gym - or even have sex.

Adults aged 18-24 are the next most likely to maximise their mornings, with 40 per cent being early risers.

Of all adults polled, 27 per cent like to make the most of the day by getting up early - but 21 per cent wish they were better at it.

Craig David, who teamed with Persil [https://www.persil.com/uk/laundry/detergent/wonder-wash.html], said: “I've performed in some wild locations, but never a launderette - get that washing in, 15 minutes, play the set and bop bop bop.

“I'm definitely an evening person rather than a morning person, my morning routine is to get up, drink water - and have a shower - and it's in the shower where my inspiration comes.

“If I had an extra 15 minutes, I would use it just take time to myself, our time is the best currency we have, it's so important.

“I've loved performing at the Fast Wash and Rave - the crowd was brilliant. It smelt great.”

The research also found that after work, 18 per cent bake or cooking something, and 16 per cent will improve their mind with a chapter of their latest book.

On a typical day, the average early riser will get four tasks done between 5-9 am, such as putting out a wash or watering the plants.

But 33 per cent of all respondents feel they spend too much time doing their laundry from sorting and washing to drying and putting away.

And those aged 18-24, polled via OnePoll, are most likely to consider themselves a ‘hustler’ - someone who is an enterprising person determined to succeed, while 27 per cent do in fact have a side hustle.

Nathan Palmer, spokesperson for Unilever, added: “People all over the country are leading very busy lifestyles.

“Between work, family, and social commitments, it’s amazing to see just how many of us are working on important things outside of the traditional working hours.

“Our research has revealed that many people wish they could spend less time doing laundry, and we want to help people maximise their time.

“It has been a real pleasure working with Craig David to reward these hustlers with a once in a lifetime experience.”

00:00I've performed in some amazing locations, but I've yet to perform in a lingerie.
00:10Purcell's Fast, Wash and Rave, wow. Play some tunes, get your clothes washed, 15 minutes
00:15in and out, boom boom, you feel fresh, right?
00:27Time for me is the only real currency that we have. If I had an extra 15 minutes in my
00:31life, it's that rather than rushing to do something, I would just bask in that moment.
00:39Smell I love. I do love roses, but lavender's a nice one as well. Lavender for laundry and
00:44stuff like that. Smells lovely in here today. It's like they blasted it with rose and lavender.
00:48I've got to say, there's something about that plain, short, intimate 15 minute set, but
00:56at the same time, get your clothes done in 15 minutes. I just love the kind of sentiment
01:00of it. I feel there's a fresh, fresh vibes.
