Thunderstorms to bring travel delays back to the East Coast on Friday

Major delays are likely for many flights on Aug. 2.

00:00As we take a look at the overall current status of some flight delays, we even have a ground stop

00:05in progress in Orlando still with thunderstorms around. We're back down to minor delays at

00:09LaGuardia. Still persistently minor delays in Seattle. As we get into the northeast details,

00:16we're in pretty good shape in Boston. We had some earlier minor delays, but still some trouble

00:21around the New York airport. So Newark International also posting minor delays right now.

00:26As we pivot south into areas around the D.C. metro, here we have some green lights,

00:31Dulles, DCA, and also into BWI. We're in pretty good shape. But tomorrow, major delays return to

00:37the New York metro airports. Chicago, scattered storms. Atlanta, Miami, more of the same. Denver,

00:43we can see some scattered thunderstorms. Concerned that some of these storms near

00:46Raleigh could be severe with major delays there. But again, some other issues nearby,
