The Southeast and the Northwest could both experience travel delays due to thunderstorms this weekend.
Transcript
00:00The travel situation right now, not looking great into Orlando. A ground stop has been announced because of thunderstorms in the area, numerous storms near that I-4 corridor, and also we have some rain leading to minor delays in Seattle.
00:13By the numbers, we are dealing with again a ground stop until 8 o'clock or later in Orlando and Seattle.
00:19About a 50 minute delay on average, max delay a little more than an hour and a half right now.
00:24JFK doing well, Miami had delays earlier, we're doing better there, and Phoenix had a brief time with some delays.
00:30No current delays announced at this point, so that's some good news there.
00:34Tomorrow looks pretty good for most of us, but there will still be some storms in Miami and some rain in Seattle.
00:39So again, south central scattered showers, even a thunderstorm near Houston, showers for New Orleans, but Florida remains the problem spot for some flight delays.
