Matthew Tkachuk on his dad's emotion when he won the cup

00:01I mean, you could see how emotional he was

00:03after that win, after game seven.

00:06Was he able to express to you exactly

00:07what was running through him, how proud he was of you?

00:10Like what did he say to you after that game?

00:16Well, I'm sure you guys have seen the video.

00:17I've never seen him cry in my life.

00:20I swear to God, I've never seen him cry.

00:22And he was bawling his eyes out like a big baby

00:26in the stands as those few minutes went by after we won.

00:32So I think that just a picture is worth 1,000 words.

00:36And I saw everything I needed to see right there.

00:39The emotion for my family, the emotion for my brother

00:42when I was lifting the cup around the ice

00:44and stopped right in front of my family where they were sitting

00:47and just gave it one big push up.

00:50It was something that I'll never forget.

00:53And it's really cool being able to watch it back.

00:56I've watched it a couple of times since winning it.

00:59And it's incredible.
