00:00All right, rundown 1st of August, Defty Lowe, Tommy Francis moment everyone's been waiting
00:10for.
00:11It's finally here.
00:12The high noon pool pack is back.
00:14My personal favorite in terms of all the variety ones that you can't go wrong with any high
00:17noon, grab a case, text the group, get your friends over to the nearest pool, get that
00:23pool pack, drop it on over there and press them and then put them down and get some more
00:28only here for the summer.
00:30So now it's a time to enjoy lime, peach and two limited edition flavors, guava and kiwi.
00:34The kiwi is elite, especially my opinion.
00:37As always, the high noon pool pack is made with real vodka, real juice and just 100 calories
00:43gluten free as well.
00:44And no added sugar.
00:45Visit highnoonspirits.com to find a pack near you going on guys.
00:50What's happening?
00:51Good to see you, Jeff.
00:53I like you brought some fire to the world today.
00:56And I love that.
00:57I love me a little bit of heat.
00:59Yeah, yeah.
01:01They were exchanging some good blow for blow.
01:04That was just like end of the battle.
01:06You say nice.
01:07Yeah.
01:09I mean, we can, we can, we can get to it at some point and get off the top.
01:11You want?
01:12I mean, he was a humongous bitch and pulled the bitch move and I had to call him out for
01:15it.
01:16So, I mean, Blake, Blake blamed me for, for quitting his job.
01:19So well, and then, and then got actually not even worse than that.
01:24He blamed me and then it ended up getting a Dave rant about me on my name, which is
01:30just that's, that's never good.
01:31You don't want that.
01:32How do you address the Dave allegations?
01:35He did yell at me.
01:36Yeah.
01:37That, that, that did happen.
01:38I don't, I don't know of any other instances where that happened.
01:41Um, he, he did tied into the fact that yes, I did tell Coleman's coworker who was a friend
01:48of mine, Justin, who was texting me the morning that Coleman no showed his job.
01:53He, I think, I think Justin's words were, am I a cuck loser if I wait outside his house
01:57for him?
01:58And I said, yeah, you should fucking leave.
02:00Which is my advice.
02:01I think Kirk would have probably murdered him if he lied about Coleman.
02:04So yes, I did that.
02:06There you go.
02:07Call that gossip or not, but I was helping out a friend, Coleman, clearly not a friend.
02:11So, uh, whatever.
02:12I wish him the worst.
02:13I'm going to miss having Coleman in the Barstool universe.
02:16I know he'll pop back up eventually, hopefully not with the New York times hit piece, but
02:20I I'll just miss like scrolling through Twitter and seeing Coleman, not know Aaron judge's
02:26number or saying my black brothers and sisters or whatever old clip I, it'll, he'll be missed.
02:33It's I did vouch for, I definitely vouched for him when he got the job too.
02:37Um, I definitely helped out with like, I'd help him out with things here and there.
02:40I helped produce the show, uh, when Kirk was in Chicago, I helped make videos for their
02:45live show.
02:46Um, so I, for him to never and fuck him, I mean, really nothing else to say on that,
02:53I guess.
02:54Yeah.
02:55Go fuck himself.
02:56But also, I mean, it's, it's not like he kind of like went out and like a blaze of like
03:00high glory.
03:01He, after Dave mentioned that about me, he basically told Coleman he would do worthless.
03:04So yeah, I can watch Dave and Coleman go back and forth for hours.
03:09That's that, and that is, that is the, that's the thing about Dave, which I mean, we've
03:14all been yelled at, I guess, on various levels, uh, Francis and I very famously yelled that
03:19over the span of the same day, a couple of summers ago.
03:22Um, but Dave will do that where Coleman said, what did he say?
03:25He said like, like a thank you for my time or Dave's like, why I didn't do anything for
03:29you.
03:30It's like, I don't like you.
03:32Don't thank me.
03:33Like you fucking loser basically.
03:35So yeah, I like it when Dave and Kirk, I think they do this better than anybody.
03:43They will turn up their literalism where if you say something casually and you think
03:52this is just a throwaway comment, both of them have the ability to say, you just said
03:58this and those words are wrong.
04:01Yeah.
04:02And they will.
04:03And you're like, Whoa, I didn't even realize I said that.
04:06I didn't even realize I said those words.
04:09You have to carefully choose every word that's about to come.
04:12Very careful.
04:13If I recall too, the thing that he referenced yelling at me over, like I thought it was
04:18like, Oh, so I feel like I didn't do that.
04:19And then the way he explained it was like, well, you know, you fucking got me.
04:21And I was like, yep.
04:22I was like, fuck.
04:24Um, but yeah, I, so I guess that's, that's, that's the end of the Coleman run at Barstool
04:31two runs.
04:32Congrats to him.
04:33He did.
04:34He did lose his job, which he didn't deserve, but just happened.
04:37You know, it was legal light off.
04:39It was part of the process and he got rehired again and uh, he's, he's into the wind.
04:44He's gone again.
04:45He's going back to New Jersey.
04:46I'm happy to know that I'm not the first person to lose the job twice because I'm certainly
04:52eligible and uh, my contract.
04:55That is true.
04:56That's a, that's a feather in your cap.
04:58Now you cannot be, you can't lose it twice and then you can't be the first to lose it
05:02twice.
05:03Well, I mean, they do.
05:04Right.
05:05What's that?
05:06I assume multiple times that could be, that's a good point that he was a three times technically.
05:14I don't know.
05:15I don't know if we're not like when ink officially hit paper, but I feel like he's been in and
05:19out quite a bit.
05:20Yeah.
05:21Yeah.
05:22I think he did.
05:23Yeah.
05:24That was, yeah, that was, uh, it's always, it's always, uh, yes, I, I took it on the
05:27chin from Dave on the unnamed show, but unrelated to that Coleman go fuck himself.
05:32I can, I'll accept that from Dave, but also Coleman blaming me for not waking up to his
05:38alarm at the ripe age of what, like he's like 26, 27 years old, whatever, couldn't wake
05:43up to go to an amusement park.
05:45Oh God.
05:46Um, unbelievable.
05:47Also many, he did also take a shot at my awful gauntlet time on the yak, which is very bad.
05:52I was the worst ever.
05:54I'm not a good basketball player.
05:55I bricked like 90 threes, but he also has hours of tape as a basketball player and his
06:00basketball skills make me look like fucking LeBron James.
06:03So I'm not sure he's the one on one game against Coleman.
06:06I think I would, I think I'd beat him.
06:08Yeah.
06:09I don't, I don't, I don't think that'd be a problem.
06:10I think I, I'm slow and I could run circles around him.
06:13He's he's a, he's, he's nothing we've, there's, there's game film on him.
06:18I'd like that won't be happening.
06:19I'd like to see a one-on-one.
06:20I don't know where that will happen.
06:23I guess when we visit Jersey next time, I'll go take him on in the famous cul-de-sac he
06:28grew up playing in.
06:29Whatever.
06:30We wish him nothing but the best.
06:31I'm sure.
06:32Uh, Olympics wise, the United States won a lot of gold today.
06:36Actually.
06:37Um, they're actually behind pace to where they were in Tokyo when they almost did not
06:42win the gold medal count.
06:43Simone Biles, greatest Olympic gymnast of all time fence, Francis, you're fenced before.
06:50No, no, that's stunning.
06:54You know, look, it is a high class sport.
06:56People think that just because you, you went to Harvard, that you were involved in everything
07:01that Harvard is associated with.
07:04I didn't have time to fence at Harvard.
07:07I was having a hard time with my homework.
07:12You have to do work, not to fail.
07:16Yeah.
07:17How hard, like how hard is it?
07:21I don't know.
07:22It's harder to, they say it's harder to get in than to, than to do.
07:25Okay.
07:27Yeah.
07:28I worked hard.
07:29I had to work my butt off.
07:30It has to be, it has to be a standards and expectations thing.
07:33Cause in the end, like the curriculum is mostly the same across the board, right?
07:38Like, no, that's not true.
07:41There's, you know, there's a core, well, there was, I don't know if they still have it, but
07:44there was a core curriculum, which meant that depending on the major you chose, you had
07:48to take a certain number of classes that were far afield from your concentration.
07:54So like, if you were a major, they made you take science classes and English classes or
08:01whatever to make sure that you had some kind of a well-rounded education.
08:05And that makes sense.
08:06I think more like within like your specific field, I feel like there's only like, I don't
08:10know, like if you're going to be an astrologist, I don't know why that's the one I landed on.
08:14I feel like you are learning like the same, like in that box, like the same things as
08:18other schools, but I don't know, maybe I went to a state university.
08:23I don't know.
08:25Yeah, it's a good question.
08:26I mean, there's some pretty long titles for classes at Harvard.
08:31I took democracy, alienation, and Muslims in the West, a class on the integration of
08:39Muslim immigrants into Western societies.
08:43And it was a really good class.
08:44Want to know what class that I took at Penn State?
08:47What?
08:48It's called Joe Paterno, communications in the media.
08:53Before or after?
08:54Before.
08:55Got it.
08:56Yeah.
08:57It's right around the time.
08:58I also.
08:59Yeah.
09:00Yeah.
09:01What's his philosophy?
09:02If you see something, don't say something.
09:05Yeah.
09:06It doesn't exist anymore.
09:09Media crisis class might exist at that school.
09:12Yeah.
09:13So someone Biles is the greatest of all time.
09:15Yeah.
09:16Fencing one.
09:17This woman, Lee Kiefer is one of the greatest fence in the United States.
09:20They won their first gold in one of the team events.
09:23Swimming won some gold today.
09:25And basketball is good.
09:28The main basketball teams are good.
09:30People freak out about the men's team for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
09:34They played fake exhibition games.
09:37People took that to heart.
09:39But the three on three, you guys were the three on three basketball teams.
09:42I didn't know that was a thing until Dave mentioned it on the unnamed show today.
09:46It was added four years ago or three years ago.
09:48Tokyo.
09:50Women won gold.
09:51The men this year are like one of the top ranked teams.
09:54They have Jim or Fredette, who is the best.
09:57Like a little hand job on the sideline from that trainer.
10:00He's the best three on three player in the world.
10:03They're all combined.
10:04The teams are Owen six.
10:05They stink.
10:06They're terrible.
10:09Who else is on the USA team?
10:11The men's team.
10:12Canyon Barry, son of Rick Barry.
10:15Ben Lyft is on the women's team.
10:16She's that good.
10:18Basketball players also known for being incredibly attractive.
10:21Cameron Brink was on the team.
10:22The tall one got drafted, but she got injured.
10:25Yeah, one of the new sports.
10:27Fred, you're a lacrosse guy.
10:29Lacrosse got out of the Olympics in four years.
10:31It did.
10:32Did you know that they're playing this year?
10:34No, four year in L.A.
10:35There will be lacrosse in the Olympics.
10:37Jake Malasek is going to be the Czech Republic goal.
10:39Yeah, one.
10:40Yeah, one of our one of our coworkers, Jake Malasek, is the goalie for the Czech
10:44Republic national team there.
10:46If the Czech Republic were qualified for the 2028 Olympics, he will be an
10:49Olympian.
10:50Whoa, that is cool.
10:53Yeah, it's weird.
10:54I've played in some of these like I've scrimmaged in my time against
11:00some of these world teams, and I remember that, you know, Ireland,
11:06Israel, they was all Americans that had like some ancient relative
11:12that was once upon a time a citizen of those countries.
11:15I don't know.
11:16It has to be that for the Olympics, they're going to tighten up a little
11:20bit on proving one's citizenship.
11:22Citizenship is obviously a big part of it, but even like the Japanese
11:26basketball team, they have someone, Josh Hawkinson, I believe his name
11:32is.
11:33Say right off the bat.
11:34I'm going to question that.
11:35I'm going to raise Josh Hawkinson.
11:37He's born in Seattle.
11:38He became a Japanese citizen, and he plays for the Japanese team,
11:42which is they just they almost beat Victor Wembenyama in France the
11:46other night.
11:47Do you see that picture of the one guy on the Japanese team guarding
11:50Wembenyama?
11:51He was like literally just guarding his knee, basically.
11:54So, yeah, that's that.
11:56That's an obvious flag.
11:57Football's in the Olympics in four years.
11:58They want NFL players to play in that.
12:00We cannot lose that.
12:01No, that's like that's national and bare like basketball was an
12:06embarrassment when they lost like 20 or 20 years ago.
12:09Losing flight football would be an outrage to these other countries.
12:15I don't care about the three on three.
12:18I don't mind that.
12:19Everyone knows we put all of our studs on the real team.
12:22We should put the studs on that team, though, for at least for L.A.
12:25Yeah, a couple defend, defend the home soil.
12:29The triathlons were completed.
12:32There was that whole thing about the river in Paris.
12:35It took a one and a half billion dollars to clean it.
12:38One of the athletes from Belgium said, I drank a lot of the water.
12:42We'll know tomorrow whether I'm sick or not.
12:44I saw another athlete.
12:45Athletes say they saw things in the water that they don't feel like
12:48they should discuss.
12:49I don't believe that.
12:51I just don't believe that.
12:53What do you know?
12:54Would that even be in the dead body?
12:55That would be it's dead bodies or human shit.
12:57So I don't know what you're fighting to win an Olympic triathlon.
13:02You're not going down there with a snorkel and checking around to see
13:06what's in there.
13:07You are.
13:08You're at like this, like if it's this deep, you're like up here.
13:10Right.
13:11I don't believe that person.
13:12I think they're just piling on to how everyone was worried about it.
13:16And I'm sure the quality isn't great.
13:18But guess what?
13:19These are the this is what you the price you pay when you compete in a
13:23triathlon in a major city.
13:26Every city's major river is fucked.
13:30And that is like, yeah, right.
13:32Remember, that was real.
13:33Like every body of water in Rio.
13:35They were like, we have to decontaminate this water.
13:38Yeah.
13:40I don't.
13:41I wonder like where there are city, what cities actually have swimmable
13:46waterways.
13:47I saw something about it.
13:48I saw a clip recently about a city in, I think, Austria, or maybe it was
13:52Switzerland where people commute home from work by getting into the river
13:56with a waterproof bag for their belongings and they float down.
13:59And it looked pretty awesome.
14:00I was going to say that sounds lovely.
14:02It was really nice looking.
14:04The exact quote was, which I almost think this is worse.
14:08I saw things I don't want to think about.
14:12I don't believe her.
14:13I don't.
14:14Yeah.
14:15That better be like the bottom of the river in the Sopranos.
14:17They were better.
14:18It's got to be all of them just flow in there.
14:20That's the only that's the only reason to make a comment like that.
14:22Probably just like garbage.
14:23Probably saw like a fucking McDonald's cup or something.
14:26Otherwise, golf started today.
14:30Standard Shoffley trying to win back-to-back gold medals cap off his
14:33great year.
14:34I watched race walking late last night.
14:36Race walking a significantly more difficult sport than people think it
14:40is.
14:41I just want to note that.
14:42Is there a higher to watch that?
14:44Is there a higher instance of defecating those tiny shorts in race
14:49walking over the marathon?
14:51For some reason, I feel like that is where it happens.
14:53If you, if you look at, if you ever seen it,
14:55you have to have one foot on the ground at all times.
14:57That's like part of the rule.
14:58And there's a way,
14:59there's a certain way you can't move your hips higher than a certain
15:02height.
15:03So I think you're right.
15:04I think the way your body's jostling,
15:06I think you're working up shitting yourself more in race walking than
15:09anything else.
15:10It is the walk you do when you have to go to the bathroom.
15:13It's true.
15:14And yeah,
15:15it might just be like,
15:16it triggers your brain.
15:17Like,
15:18your brain's like,
15:19why is my body moving like this?
15:20I must have to defecate.
15:21Jeff,
15:22Jeff D low.
15:23I have a question.
15:24Um,
15:25are they refereeing every single step?
15:28Oh,
15:29yeah.
15:30Or so tens and tens of thousands of steps and all these racers to make
15:34sure that your one foot is on the ground every time.
15:37I mean,
15:38do people get called for it?
15:39No,
15:40the play by play guy last night was actually John Anderson,
15:43former sports center anchor,
15:44which is incredibly random.
15:45Um,
15:46he did a very good job explaining it to those who don't know in the
15:49beginning.
15:50And there are guys,
15:51they have,
15:52like,
15:53they look like they live in like Delboca Vista on Seinfeld.
15:55They walk around with their hats and they have paddles and they raise
15:58the paddle.
15:59It's like a yellow,
16:00red and gray.
16:01And they,
16:02they warn them.
16:03You get like a couple amount of warnings and you get to put it into
16:05a penalty box.
16:06And then if you do it again,
16:07like you're disqualified.
16:08So it can be a tough thing to do play by play for.
16:10He's walking.
16:11You still,
16:12he's sped up a little bit.
16:13Like how,
16:14how long is the race?
16:15One of,
16:16one of his,
16:17one of his quotes was this,
16:18this guy,
16:19Bonfim from Brazil was out to a fast start.
16:21And he said,
16:22Bonfim is a very accomplished Walker was the exact quote,
16:25which I think is a great.
16:26Yeah.
16:27There was actually a guy who dropped out mid race.
16:30And like,
16:31when you watch like a marathoner or a sprinter dropout,
16:33it's pretty jarring.
16:35Cause all of a sudden they go from fast to nothing and they kind of
16:37hobble off,
16:38but the guy just kind of,
16:39he just walked off.
16:40Like he just,
16:41he goes from course to world-class walk.
16:44Yeah.
16:46I'm surprised that they,
16:47that that sports still in the Olympics.
16:50Cause clearly the Olympics is making an effort to energize and
16:54euthanize and add new,
16:56exciting sports,
16:57skateboarding,
16:58lacrosse,
16:59even let's say this year,
17:00breaking AK break dancing.
17:02And the fact that shit walking,
17:08race walking is still there means we're just not going to take it
17:13that seriously.
17:14If I see that on television,
17:15I say,
17:16fuck the Olympics.
17:17I just,
17:18I think grace walking.
17:19I might like when Jeff said that,
17:20I was like,
17:21I kind of want to see that.
17:22I'd rather watch that.
17:23Watch it.
17:24Tommy,
17:25you would watch it for three minutes and then you'd say no more,
17:27but that's how I do it.
17:28I actually have like barely watched the Olympics this year.
17:30I feel like Jeff's going to kill me if he hears that,
17:32but no,
17:33no,
17:34that's I know deep.
17:35You,
17:36you retweet my schedule.
17:37That's all I care about.
17:38I will say I did see the other guy the other day,
17:41some random guy made like a similar schedule.
17:43It had like 30,000 retweets.
17:45I was like,
17:46Jeff,
17:47he's got to find this guy.
17:48Oh,
17:49there's a guy who does a worse schedule.
17:50It gets more retweets.
17:51It kills me every time I see it.
17:52I hate it.
17:53It's not nearly as good as mine.
17:54If that guy ends up dead,
17:55there is no investigation.
17:56Go right to Jeff D's house.
17:57But to your point,
17:59Francis wrestling fights like death to stay in the Olympics baseball just
18:04out.
18:05It's coming back in LA and then it's going to leave again.
18:08And yet racewalking,
18:10it just coasts on through.
18:11Yeah,
18:12no issues.
18:13It's like wrestling is like,
18:15that is like the,
18:16and it's still in the Olympics,
18:17but like they've had to fight to keep it in there.
18:19Yeah.
18:20Yeah.
18:21Bring back jousting.
18:22That's it.
18:23Anything else?
18:26No,
18:27nothing else.
18:28We can think of anything else going on.
18:29All right.
18:30Well,
18:31I will say,
18:32I,
18:33you know,
18:34props to Simone Biles.
18:36Honestly,
18:37she,
18:38she did it.
18:39Unreal.
18:40And it's,
18:41it's a sport that one misstep.
18:43I mean,
18:44I watched her floor routine today and,
18:45you know,
18:46her foot is inches from going out of bounds and never happened.
18:51She,
18:52she had a small hiccup on the uneven bars and she basically was,
18:56was judged as having a like mediocre routine because of that.
19:01It's like the tiniest little thing.
19:02A gymnast doing two Olympics is crazy to do three and to win gold in your
19:07third is like,
19:08it is unthinkable.
19:09Really?
19:10It's just crazy.
19:11Proud of her.
19:12Do you think she's done after this?
19:14Yeah,
19:15I think,
19:16I think,
19:17yes,
19:18but I think there's gonna be a lot of Olympians who are on their last leg
19:19who may push it because it's going to be in the United States in four
19:21years who want to do in front of a home crowd.
19:23So we bring Michael Phelps back for the 2020.
19:26I mean,
19:27imagine that just swims one race.
19:28Why not?
19:29Unreal.
19:30Fuck it.
19:31Um,
19:32that's it.
19:33Thanks for the rundown.
19:34Good seeing you,
19:35Francis.
19:36Been a while.
19:37You too,
19:38Jeff.
19:39I'll miss you,
19:40pal.
19:41I've seen both of you guys very,
19:42I know I've seen you quite a bit recently.
19:43Yeah,
19:44that's it.
19:45All right.
19:46Bye.
