00:00So, you got football tonight, if you want to call it that, in Canton at the Hall of
00:07Fame game with all the backups playing and guys that more than likely aren't going to
00:12make the team, but at least it's the helmets look like the Bears and Texans playing.
00:20That's what you're tuning in for, Scott.
00:21You're exactly right.
00:22We're tuning in for the uniforms, aren't we?
00:25We're tuning in for the NFL fix, to see, to hear the music, hear a familiar NFL announcer's
00:32voice, hear like the Chicago Bears and the Houston Texans, and then Scott, you know,
00:38they basically use it to light it up, and don't forget Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys
00:41opening Sunday or whatever, you know what I mean?
00:44Every marathon begins with a first step.
00:47This is the first step.
00:49You got to take this first step.
00:50Tonight's the first step.
00:53I used to get really excited for the Hall of Fame games, Scott, like, oh, this is great
00:57stuff and stuff.
00:58And then basically about midway through the first corner of play, you're like, this is
01:02the worst television I've ever watched in my life.
01:04It is.
01:05You're like, I don't know why I was so excited about this.
01:08This is bad.
01:09And you change the channel.
01:10You're like, oh, God, I can't take this anymore, right?
01:13But listen, I'm a big CFL guy, bro.
01:15We have CFL on tonight, big game, BC Lions and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, so I'm more
01:19fired up for that.
01:20But with all that being stated, I'm glad the NFL is back.
01:23And I do love betting on the preseason guys.
01:25There's big preseason advantages at times, but the Hall of Fame game is like the worst
01:30game of the year to bet on.
01:31All right.
01:32These teams just got out of camp.
01:33They don't want to show anybody anything.
01:35It's not like a real preseason game.
01:37Like they don't, you know what I mean?
01:39Like the coaches will chart stuff.
01:40All right.
01:41This one's the real one.
01:42This one's the rehearsal list.
01:43This is like a nothing sort of scrimmage practice, like they don't have a game plan.
01:48They're not playing anybody.
01:50It's really a battle of like four or five guys that are trying to make the team at the
01:54back end on special teams.
01:57And I've heard NFL coaches say out of 53 guys, we already know 50 of them are going to be
02:00on the team.
02:01So it's training camps like for a couple of guys, you know, if they maybe can backdoor
02:05this thing.
02:06But with that being stated, Scott, I think the Chicago Bears, a lot of optimism about
02:10the Bears this year, there's so many new parts and so many new players on the Bears.
02:16I would have liked, if I was them, I would have rolled out Caleb Williams, taking a couple
02:20of snaps, Scott.
02:21He's, you know, if you're scared of him getting hurt, handing the ball off, you got a problem.
02:24So I don't agree with it.
02:26And I find, I think the Texans, Scott, are sort of like the Baltimore Ravens in a way.
02:31I think they're kind of building that sort of, you know what?
02:34Like we're a deep football team.
02:36The Texans have drafted really well over the years, guys.
02:39They do well late in the draft.
02:41They do well with like walk on free agent types.
02:44The Texans actually will have competition going on for jobs on their team because they're
02:48good, right?
02:49The Bears already have everybody and hope they're going to be good.
02:53The Texans have sort of more of an edge to them.
02:56I will note Iberflues is four and one in the preseason.
02:59So the Bears have been good in the preseason in the past two years.
03:02But with all that being stated, I lean with the Texans tonight, but Scott, I like the
03:06under 31 and a half.
03:07I think there's going to be an incredibly dull, boring game and not to mention, bro,
03:13they play, they play in the regular season in week two.
03:18Nobody ain't showing nothing tonight.
03:20They got, they play again next month for real.
03:23Nobody's doing anything tonight besides handing the football off over and over and over and
03:27over again.
03:29So unless there's like a big play here or there, I don't really see how they get to
03:3332 points tonight, Scott, give me the under 31 and a half.
03:37And last thing about this, there's a new kickoff rule in the NFL that even coaches don't understand
03:42that we're going to see tonight for the first time.
