00:21of the illegal purchase of land by the POGOs in some provinces.

00:27The matrix was formed based on the information found by the camera

00:31from the sale of Php 3.6 billion worth of shabu in Mexico, Pampanga, in 2023.

00:39Fernandez said,

00:41the owner of the warehouse where the drugs were sold

00:44was a partner of an incorporator

00:46connected to various corporations,

00:48like Pharmaly,

00:50which was involved in the overpricing of medical supplies

00:53in the government during the COVID pandemic.

00:56The financier of Pharmaly is Michael Yang.

00:58There seems to be a link

01:00in the ownership of drugs

01:05to these companies.

01:07The House Committee on Dangerous Drugs issued an arrest order

01:11against Michael Yang

01:13because of his involvement in the committee's invitations.

01:16Yang's lawyer, Atty. Raymond Fortun,

01:20refused to comment on the matrix.

01:22The GMA Integrated News is also trying to get a reaction

01:26from those who were mentioned.

01:27Fernandez also said,

01:29Michael Yang's brother was a transaction

01:32of suspended Bamban Mayor, Alice Go.

01:34Based on what I saw and my appreciation of the evidence,

01:38I think it's a money laundering scheme

01:42of drug syndicates

01:44that is being carried out by POGOs.

01:47These issues are also connected

01:49to the investigation by the House Committee on Public Accounts

01:52that it is illegal for Chinese nationals

01:55to buy land in Pampanga

01:57to run POGO sites.

01:59It was established also

02:01that those so many hectares of land

02:04are being bought

02:06by the different corporations

02:08whose incorporators are proven to be Chinese nationality.

02:14We all know that there is a constitutional prohibition

02:17for foreigners to own land in our country.

02:19We saw that someone enabled the sale to the foreigners.

02:25Allegedly, this is assisted by no less than the LGU.

02:30Some lawmakers clarified that not all of the names in the matrix

02:34are connected to illegal activities.

02:36Their investigation is ongoing

02:39to find out who is really involved.

02:42Together with the possible legislation

02:45that will result in these investigations,

02:47it will restrict the acquisition of Filipino birth certificates

02:51and Filipino passports

02:53and the purchase of land.
