00:00a very good evening everybody Birmingham's big midsummer show is underway and what a night of

00:11boxer we've got for you on TNT Sports. Zach Parker back on a big show here in Birmingham but each

00:18time he makes his entrance he seems to have more questions hanging over his head and he needs to

00:24start coming up with the answers. On the seat of his pants remember last time for the first time

00:29in his career and the most intriguing question of the night why why Zach Parker in a slated light

00:38heavyweight affair against Jack Arnfield it is in fact a catchweight but this is all coming at a

00:45time in his career Richie when he was meant to be one of the bright young things at super middleweight

00:50so what is going on? Yes he lost his way a little bit didn't he Zach Parker obviously was beaten by

00:55John Ryder went on to box Canelo and and I think he was probably looking at a possible Canelo

01:02fight wasn't he Zach Parker but let's take nothing away from John Ryder it was a brilliant win for

01:07John Ryder and so he just lost his way a little bit but now he started this one pretty well Paul

01:13here's Zach Parker on that front foot and there's a little bit of height for Jack Arnold here he's

01:19six foot two compared to Zach Parker who's six foot so he's got to try and use that height and reach

01:25really and just try and keep Parker at bay because when Parker does close that gap down he's dangerous

01:30in that mid-range section. In fairness to Zach Parker biggest opponent by a mile in recent years

01:37has been injury and it's really got in the way my own opinion on that for whatever that's worth

01:42is that it has dented his confidence but he has to rebuild Richie the competition is just too hot

01:47and he's got little or no chance of making big headway in the super super stat light heavyweight

01:54class if he can't start to establish himself all over again with a W here tonight against Jack

02:00Arnfield this is turning back the clock for many of us on field no stranger to the big nights and

02:07the bright lights a British title challenge to Nikki Blackwell it feels an age ago that one but

02:13I'm afraid Jack is also no stranger to the bad times out of the ring he has lost way too many

02:19years of his career we make it seven years in total to inactivity for various reasons at least

02:27he doesn't blame anybody else but has he got time now at the age of 35 feeling his way in in this

02:32opening round yes it's his last chance now isn't it really for Jack Arnfield who's been a decent

02:37solid pro he really has and he took a bit a lot of time off for as you said but now he's back 35

02:44years of age and giving you a last go but he's in it against a really skillful operator in Zack

02:50Parker like I've said and similar plan to a lot of his contest Parker starts pretty quick reflexes

02:57are very sharp early on in his contests and he scores very well so it's all about see there's

03:04there's a typical example that Arnold just making a mistake there lazy jab he gets caught with a

03:09good shot good counter from Parker fast reactions

03:31all a bit much give me a hug

04:26the man who pushed him so very close first time round Brad Paul's for the British middleweight

04:33title and you know I think if you follow the story what Heaney brings with him Parker could

04:37well do with starting to build a fan club but only big performances are going to do that the

04:43idea tonight is to get him rolling again against Jack Arnfield albeit this is a catchweight when

04:51you hear before you have a situation with on field like I said he's got to use that job better and

04:56he's starting to use it but there there you go if he uses it like that that was a slow jab to the

05:00body and you can't afford to do that against Zack Park he comes back with fast counters fast

05:06reactions so on field he's got to use your jab more yes but it's got to be sharp it's got to

05:11be accurate it's got to hit the target then he's got to stay at distance against Zack Parker mighty

05:16big ask of course for Arnfield to come back after all the years of inactivity this is the second

05:23professional outing of what feels to me like about the fourth comeback to be very honest

05:28he returned in mid-may against Robbie Chapman a little walk around over six rounds in Blackpool

05:35very much home territory of course this is all rather different tonight on this big show in

05:41Birmingham but way back when Richie not just Nicky Blackwell he fought John Ryder he beat

05:48Ryder the man who's really derailed the career of Zack Parker yeah great when that was you know

05:54for all feel right Rose Tommy Lankford who was of course the British middleweight champion a few

06:01years ago that's a fair body of work but getting his body really to click into gear it seems such

06:07a tough house to me at this time yeah I mean Brian Rose was a very good fighter wasn't he British

06:12like middleweight champion quality kid and they grew up together actually both from Blackpool

06:17so yeah he's been in with some quality opposition Jack Arnfield he's the slightly taller man here

06:22but he's generally he's I think Zack Parker is just a little bit bigger in general terms campaigned

06:29it we don't really know Paul it what what's his weight really is it super middle is it light

06:34light heavy he fluctuates between the two I would say if he can make super middle then then do that

06:41but he wants to go to light heavy also so like I said it's a bit of a question mark on which weight

06:47he actually is whichever he has to start to look assured again there are one or two good signs here

06:57in among some stuff early on which I find a bit troubling the right hand seems to me Richie to be

07:02very very slow still and the big question mark in my mind is how big is the question mark in his mind

07:08about his fitness that's the truth of it looks like the spray tan guy will just come straight to

07:21your house but how's it going with the chairman good shot sir Rupert big news he's confirmed

07:27profits are up again you know nationwide have shared their profits with nearly 4 million of

07:32their members we can't compete with that but shouldn't we try and do something similar shareholders

07:36are the beating heart of this bank wedge me this year we gave a hundred pounds to every eligible

08:03great jabs there from Zack Parker and earlier that terrific right hand from that slow jab to

08:09the body this was a good attack because he's switching it from body to head couple downstairs

08:14and then finishes the left up to the head so out for the third round of ten our show

08:24opening here tonight on TNT sports Parker nice and steady if not explosive early on

08:34and on field feeling his way back in you see and that's all we'll try and do it just slow

08:42the pace down so we can see the attacks coming I think what's that Park has got to do we've

08:47got off the tempo fast reaction again good right on there but he's probably got a step

08:51on the gas a little bit and put Jack Arnold under a little bit more pressure remember

08:55he's not had many rounds these last few years he's only had one fight in the last six years

09:00of Jack Arnold so for me Park has got to up the pace here and really test Arnold in terms

09:06of his engine his work right having been around the way on field has Richie somewhere in the

09:22memory bank there are little moments from the big fights along the way which might allow him

09:27to build his confidence levels for me unless he's really put under pressure in this fight

09:33looking ahead which is a silly thing to do in many ways but six eight ten rounds of one

09:40taste Zack Parker really doesn't write the wrongs of recent times I'm afraid even he had to admit

09:46no hiding place last time out against Tyrone Zoiga here in Birmingham in March it was a 10 rounder

09:53for me the very clear plan from the promoter down tonight is go back in there and do better

09:59yeah you know what though Paul I think he got some unfair criticism from that fight to be quite

10:05honest because Tyrone Zoiga had only been beaten once in about 29 contests he's a former WBA super

10:11middleweight champion so you know he got a bit of criticism but he was he was in against a tough kid

10:15who'd been a world champ right and then he lost one in like I say 29 so yeah a little bit unfair

10:21here just earlier for we've seen some good work from on field there couple good one twos keeping

10:28his distance and I think Parker's realizing that he's got to get closer to him he can't afford to

10:33stay at bay because on fields not bad with that jab and that straight one two was open for that

10:41left uppercut cross from Zack Parker and Parker duly obliged we have seen him as a switch hitter

10:52over the last few years and to quite good effect Zack Parker but it's all off the orthodox stance

10:57so far tonight clever work again from Parker there that's not bad either that right hand over

11:03the top but what he's doing Paul he's standing just in front of on field because he wants him

11:07to jab and then he's relying then obviously on his reflexes to come back with the right

12:42heavyweight division even in British terms there are so many top-line operatives ahead of him at

12:48this moment and on this card tonight later Ezra Taylor who can certainly make sparks fly

12:53that's what we've hoped to see for some time from Zack Parker great attack unbelievable shot

13:11Paul that was slow jab again from on field fast reaction from Parker we've been speaking about

13:16it all night and now he's going for it I feel checked to Michael Jennings in his corner said

13:21I'm absolutely fine but that's what you do at the age of 35 when you know you're in trouble and he

13:26is in trouble here accuracy that is one that Parker was about on the way up and he has delivered in

13:33some style and well-played referee Christine he's telling on field don't even think about it I feel

13:40knows he was caught by some great shots that is so satisfying for me Ritchie to see Zack Parker

13:46suddenly get into top gear well we've seen it many times from Zack Parker and we have skillful

13:52he is very talented kid but there's question marks time to appear about his power the previous

13:59boxers were standing up to that power but here he got it punched perfect we spoke about this jab

14:04from on field we knew that he had to throw to try and keep him at range but Parker fast reactions

14:09anything slow than then the right-hand counter comes across and it caught him at a peach the

14:15second one on the ropes fair play to Jack on field because how he got up from that one nobody knows

14:21because he was an absolute cracking punch so he's on field now just as the jab it's a fairly slow

14:26jab he gets caught but this shot coming up here on the ropes this is an absolute belter that one

14:31there and Jack on field actually got up from that fair play to him what a tough kid there's the

14:36first one then he backs up it often off onto the ropes on feels in trouble here trying to get his

14:41senses back a couple of misses from Parker but there's one coming up that's banged on the button

14:46it's a cracking shot he's the left this is the one here so what's this straight through that is a

14:52cracking punch indeed fair play to on field for getting up and here comes the finish another one

14:58the side of the chin down he goes a little bit naughty there from Zack Parker's got to be said

15:03but nevertheless a good performance and was needed from Zack Parker
