00:13Just demonstrate greatness, they cannot show no new friends coming welcome in my section
00:21Floating on the beat like this you cannot respect to I'm asking you to like this
00:25You can always trust. I'll give you something. It's a vibe when heads turn when I pull out liquor stylish
00:42I
00:44Get what I want when I want it more time
00:46I don't even want it to be honest to you my life like a movie on steroids
00:50It's just another day
01:17That's the starting 11 for England
01:19Gareth Southgate has just been talking to Gabriel Clark
01:24Gareth you've gone with an unchanged England team for the first time since the World Cup four years ago. Was that a simple decision?
01:31well, never straightforward because you're always wondering whether you should refresh things and
01:37Have a look at something different, but I think the team deserved to go again
01:41And I think if I was a player, I would feel I'd earned the right
01:45So we've got great competition for places and people to come in to be able to change it
01:51But I think we were right to go with the starting team again
01:54You also have made one change had you right in what specific challenge are they going to pose?
02:00Well, they put you under a lot of pressure and you build that play they press well as a team
02:04They're athletic midfield. So it's going to be a different tempo of game to the one the other day
02:10And we've got to find the solutions to be able to play through them. It's a wonderful venue
02:14There's a wonderful atmosphere building as well of all the qualities you showed in the first game. What do you need first tonight?
02:21Well, we've got to be positive in the way that we play
02:24As I said, this is a different sort of test
02:26so the beauty of a World Cup is you've got to overcome different challenges and
02:30We overcame the first one really well, but that's done. We're now in a
02:35Great prize if we can win tonight and but a very different sort of challenge wish you all the best. Thanks Gabriel
02:44Karen and Laura talked about Harry Kane down on the touchline in are you worried about Harry Kane's injury at all?
02:49No, I'm not I'm not at all
02:51No, I'd be worried if he if he did have a problem because you're looking like, you know
02:55Yes, Calum Wilson came down pretty well the other day
02:57But he would be a massive miss a massive drop off me and Gary just just talking about it
03:02Yeah, they can't afford to not have Harry Kane if England didn't do well in this tournament
03:06I think that there's a cliff edge to the quality next in line. Whereas the rest of the squad has got great strength
03:11Harry's just critical to us not just goal scoring but the way in which he links play
03:15I think Declan Rice is the other one where there's a big drop-off
03:17So those two are really important to the spine of the team
03:20But England are in a great opportunity to World Cups on the bounce to be able to go into the third game
03:25I've been already qualified which is a fantastic opportunity
03:27Yeah, I think for England's point of view anything happens to Canada would be a huge problem
03:32He must be fit obviously to avoid the last few days, but if he's starting the game
03:36He must be fine and you get this feeling and again
03:39You will know through your brother Phil that for for the Americans
03:41This is this is as big as it gets isn't it on the international stage to play England at the World Cup?
03:46Absolutely massive obviously he's got experience in America as well
03:51Obviously a country that's got the World Cup themselves in a few years time. They'll have massive energy tonight
03:56They'll get to the ball. This will be a very difficult game for England more difficult than the first game against Iran. I
04:01Think we've got I think their main their main guy who the six-week, you know, we've got we've got watching between the lines
04:07You know, you never know when he might it hit fine
04:10I catch fire and I think that with Jude Benningham
04:12He's the one that we're gonna need to make sure that he can circulate the boys not afraid to go and get it
04:16Break break their press and then we can get then get it to Harry and we can get people going
04:20But it's something that I feel that we will be able to deal with
04:24England 90 minutes from the last 16 potentially then so time to join our commentators Lee Dixon and Sam matter face
04:30Thanks
04:32Thanks mark. Hello everyone
04:34Welcome to outbate where the stage is set for a Friday night filled with entertainment
04:40The USA national team had to go cold turkey and forgo
04:44Thanksgiving fun ahead of a pivotal game against Gareth Southgate's men
04:48But whilst it was most Americans celebrating yesterday
04:53It is England who know they are on to a cracking deal on Black Friday
04:58Something weird on Monday
05:00Means England can secure passage through to the knockout stage and be almost certain of top spot with victory
05:07over the United States of America
05:09But in a tournament like this nothing can be taken for granted
05:14Here are the national anthems
05:28Oh
05:58Oh
06:19For the plane of the national anthem of the United States of America
06:24And the return of the national anthem of the United States of America
06:54Oh
07:24Oh
07:43England have a huge following here, but they've never beaten the USA at a World Cup. Can they tonight you'll find out next
07:55You
08:08All the feelings of football sponsored by Google pixel 7
08:14Get your kicks on just eat have it have it have it match time meal deals on just eat we got it
08:25What I am, I don't want praise I don't want it
08:36Sparkle and it's back
08:40Things from a different
08:45Channel
08:55Come on I'm gonna miss the game
08:58Yeah
09:00You are and that's why KFC delivery sponsors ITV's coverage of the FIFA World Cup
09:13Welcome back to the 68,000 seat at Alba's Stadium
09:17England are unchanged for the first time in 53 matches
09:21Harry Kane's wait for Rooney's record goes on but his foot problem appears to have cleared up
09:26Harry Maguire has been declared fit after he felt unwell in the Iran game and tonight he gets his 50th England cap
09:37Greg Berharta the USA coach sticks to his 4-3-3 most of the time just one change tonight from the draw
09:43With Wales had you right in for Josh Sargent who liked him rain Tyler Adams Christian Pudicic Matt Turner and Anthony Robinson
09:51All play their football in England
10:00England know a win tonight makes them almost
10:04Uncatchable at the top of the group that the USA are looking to maintain their unbeaten record at World Cups
10:11against England
10:13The USA gave Wales a rough ride in the first half of their opener
10:17but couldn't sustain it and the States know that lose tonight and
10:22They too will face a huge battle like Wales to stay
10:26in the tournament
10:39England again deciding to take the knee
10:43Promote inclusion across the globe before the start of their second World Cup fixture
10:49Former England right back in Arsenal double winner Lee Dixon is with me England are unchanged
10:54But how different will this game be to Monday? Well, I think it'd be completely different the boys in the studio
10:59I've already touched on that this USA team. I don't think can play any different high energy high press
11:05Certainly with McKinney Adams and Moosa sometimes ferocious pressing push the team forward
11:11I think England just have to be patient. I think tonight
11:14Just to let the Americans burn themselves out a little bit like they did against the Wales the game before
11:21When England got off to a really good start against Iran bedded into the game very quickly
11:30And that's a nervous touch for Matt Turner the Arsenal goalkeeper
11:42I'm sure who created England's first goal on Monday evening
11:50Adams gets it away
11:54McKinney
11:57Body swerve trying to run behind the England defense is tidied up by trip yet
12:03I
12:08Ready a science on that
12:11USA team when they do get the ball to try and use the pace and the power of right in between the fullbacks and center-backs
12:25Referee tonight by the way is from Venezuela
12:29Jesus Valenzuela
12:31There is Gareth Southgate the England manager who says England have to get both ends of the pitch, right?
12:37If they're going to be serious contenders, he was a little bit grumpy
12:41At the end of the game on Monday evening having conceded two late goals say that again. I saw him down the tunnel
12:48after the game, he wasn't happy at all, but
12:51Just keeping everybody on the toes
12:54You
12:59Tim Rieman full of the ball back to Matt Turner who's under a little bit of pressure from Harry Kane
13:11There's some great performances the other night
13:14Saka Bellingham was absolutely superb. I think the start of everything
13:19Good in the first half
13:21Came from mount I think the little pockets he picked up in that inside left position
13:26Just got the Iranians turned and running back to their own goal
13:30That might be where it all starts again tonight
13:35Well when England have played with a four they've usually played to holding midfielders
13:39That's not the case in this lineup or wasn't the case on Monday when?
13:43Declan Rice played as the one single pivot with the two eights in mountain Bellingham either side
13:49It allowed those two to get up and engage. They might have a little bit more work to do defensively today
13:55Certainly the USA will expect to have more of the ball
14:12This is Walter Zimmerman now Tim Rieman
14:20Anthony Robinson the bound down that left-hand side engaged by Kieran Trippier
14:28Is important that man does help out a bit defensively just looking across them USA outnumbering
14:36England across that middle Delima rice shifting across
14:49And
15:09The USA press in the first half against Wales cause Rob pages side quite a few issues
15:15Allowed England to have it on the edge of their own penalty area early in this game
15:21The trigger normally comes a
15:24Little bit time after the ball starting to be passed around on the back
15:28One of the players would just shout something and nearest the bulge goes and then they all go together
15:33They normally let the center backs have it for a bit
15:37Music to Harry Maguire's is he was allowed to start number of England attacks him and John Sterns referred to by the manager in the
15:44This conference yesterday is the platform from which England build their play
16:15I was looking for Luke short inaccurate with his pass
16:37So junior test of AC Milan is on loan from Barcelona in Syria
16:42But he's only started one game in the Italian League this season. That is a problem with a number of the USA team
16:48They haven't had as many minutes recently as I think Greg Bernhardt. I wouldn't like
16:55Anthony Robinson's had a few under his belt at Fulham
17:01Says to that's basically why they lasted an hour the other night
17:06put that amount of energy into a game also
17:08The world's changed the system and put them on the back foot a little bit, but they did run out of steam pretty obviously
17:38Robinson
17:48This Christian Pulisic
17:52Moosa it's in the Arsenal Academy
17:58Adams
18:08Trippier might have to keep an eye on Anthony Robinson throughout the course of tonight's game. He likes to bound forward get crosses into the
18:15box
18:16Usually when he does go high up Eunice Moosa shuffles across into that left
18:21Defensive area number for him
18:39That's where England can get out they do press on the side of the ball a lot a lot of blue shirts flooding into the
18:46Around the ball and if you can get through that first bit of press like from that throw Harry Kane was out onto the other
18:52Side, but then you got to move it quick
18:54So they don't catch you back up
19:09You suck it position to that to be Robinson
19:15Gonna be a good little battle to watch those two
19:30Going into a tackle with right not coming off particularly well from it
19:39Lose him. He was the standout player. I think in the game on Monday
19:51Here he is on the ball again Saka outside him it's behind you sucker
19:57Deflection takes it wide. It was good defending
20:03In the nick of time brilliant one two on the edge and suckers away
20:08The ball is almost perfect to his feet. He just lays it back. He's great defending just throws himself at the feet of Harry Kane
20:21First England corner
20:23Dead ball situations are England's trump card
20:27Scored the most set-piece goals in European qualifying 13 and out swinging corners in particular
20:34A real problem McGuire hit the bar from one against Iran. This is trippy at
20:41Stones almost got on the end of that one
20:45Why it's done well to keep it alive still going
20:52Chance to bounce
20:54Just blazed over the top of the bar
20:56Well, who knew Harry Maguire left-winger
21:00It was stones
21:02The corner was directed to hurricane just went chasing the ball and great bit of skill. He really stumbled over it
21:08But terrible defending from Adams just went for the domain in the end high and wide
21:18There's no getting away from it most fans probably don't understand how someone who has started one Premier League game since August for his club
21:24Is the linchpin of the defense?
21:27Gareth Southgate was quick to explain. Why do you understand why?
21:31Yeah, I think you know, I've spoke to
21:34Gareth about it
21:36And he likes the fact that all the defenders get on they seem to like each other on the pitch
21:42They formed a bond at the back
21:44and you have to say that
21:47Maguire is not like England down
21:49Very consistent. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, and the fact that he keeps switching as well from time to time to a three
21:56Harry Maguire just fits in that left-hand side whether he's playing a wider center back or the
22:01left of a two
22:10Well, you also have to caveat that with both stones and Harry Maguire at times can give you a chance
22:19And
22:32Also Sam we have to think about is who else would you play because you know, you have to have somebody
22:38Waiting to take his place and it's not been an obvious candidate
22:50You
22:57Stop trying to get the better of deaths fighting chain just to flick it out towards the fire soccer, but he was
23:07Accurate with his ball and that's not like him
23:11It's a good sign for England though that green doesn't really want to go short
23:15So he can turn in those areas we know how good he's passing his normal
23:25Yes, I haven't won many games recently three draws and a defeat to Japan since they're big Grenada in June
23:37Mount it's not wasn't too good coming into the competition
23:41Bellingham
23:43Now trivia
23:55As the McKinney seems to be following around Mason Mount like a shadow
24:06Trivia second might be in again here
24:11Charleston
24:13I
24:35Trivia again combination between trivia and soccer working really well down that right-hand side. It did the other night, too
24:44Yeah, he's been the one two or three times now in that inside right position just failing to pick out his man
24:52How good was he the other night as well sucker
25:00Overall being his first World Cup start scoring two goals behind second
25:07Oh
25:09That's the place and go to be anyone well, he's got a good one behind him took his experience now
25:14He's sort of pulls him around
25:22What's the McKinney
25:26Mr. Benches in Syria Tim Rhee
25:36I
25:42By rice, but he might inadvertently have poked that out to Tim where
25:48Stretched by Tyler Adams, it's gonna be away by Harry Maguire
25:53We came protected it really well sucker
25:57Bellingham sure
26:00I
26:05Speaking to Gareth Southgate he knew that tonight was going to be one of those nights where they might have to be a little
26:09bit patient
26:15Sure
26:20Sterling getting it back to the Manchester United left fullback chance to drive it into the box, but really catch it
26:30I
26:33And the break is all led by Anthony Robinson the left fullback, this is Christian policy
26:40I need a little bit of help here Kenny
26:45Actually right is waiting in the center. He's trying to get that Hillary and connects with the ball, but his fires
26:53A warning
26:55Put his hands up as if to say we've got caught a little bit short then
26:59Good enough to just get in front of right see the one going in he gets there
27:04Very difficult to get that back on target
27:08Well, yeah little warning
27:25I
27:32Think looking at on sterling
27:34Hanging on the shoulder of waters inland who has been amongst the best defenders in the MLS over the last couple of years
27:41He plays for Nashville
27:43You
27:50Here's Robinson running into soccer first then trivia
27:57Free kick from in a spoose
28:05Good as sack has been on the ball. Those little rooms is making the box defensively. She's getting bypassed a little bit on this
28:12USA left-hand side
28:15From Robinson out to feel sick
28:20Trippie's on a couple of words with him saying I just needed to cut off the pasta feet
28:41I
29:00The US fans have raised their voice and England fans have responded immediately there is a very healthy contingent here
29:08supporting our Southgate state
29:12A few Americans as well. They've traveled in numbers
29:16Local group behind the girl that haven't stopped moving since the whistle was blown
29:28There's that press quite as
29:32Ferocious it was the other day, but I think they just realized that
29:37Playing against a better
29:39Set of players, so the press has to be a little bit more organized
29:48This is Kenny
29:51Kane's got company
29:56Now Saka Bellingham, it's space over on the left-hand side if they can shift it
30:02It's been robbed by
30:04Combination of Moussa and Pulisic and Moussa's got it again and there's space on the far side for the United States of America
30:11And this is Serginio dest
30:13Trying to steer it into a dangerous area. It was the wrong ball
30:23Pulisic wants to run and dribble the players
30:27where
30:29in by desks
30:32The arms of Jordan pick would go up
30:34He tries to encourage his teammates just to switch on a bit
30:37Pretty sure Southgate will be out
30:40Into his technical area. Just have a little word. We've got a little bit sloppy there England got here on the break
30:45That's what USA can do to you
30:48Good period of play for them
30:52Gareth Southgate and Greg Berhart are all pals of sorts
30:58It's not allowed
31:00They've put their friendship on ice for a little while
31:03Berhart called him and asked him for advice when he first became the USA boss back in
31:082018
31:10Stayed in touch ever since the relationship
31:12Probably had to call off bearing in mind
31:15They were playing each other at the World Cup Berhart are saying that he's been sending Southgate a few whatsapp messages
31:20But wasn't getting the double blue tip
31:27No one wants to be ghosted
31:30I
31:41Wants to win it back again
32:00I
32:09Patient build-up play quite high USA
32:14Every now and again Bellingham stride a couple
32:18No supply line
32:31Oh
32:53Matt popping up on the right-hand side for any
33:00Don't want rip the ball because we haven't been able to get him into that little slot
33:03We got into a space the Iranians just in between the two lines on my left hand side. So he's come over to the right
33:30Oh
33:34Harry Kane is a proper center forward
33:37His footwork is holding play
33:41Brilliant on that England goal-scoring record as well
33:48Disappointed that he didn't manage to get on the scoresheet when England scored six on Monday evening
33:52But he did provide two goals for his teammates
33:56I'm Sterling trying to trouble desk to cause him a bit of grief. This is Declan Rice
34:15Make sure it's waiting over on the far touchdown with his hand in the air bellowing for the ball
34:20It's gone the other way to the kaya Saka
34:22Has been a debate about the makeup of that England midfield for some time
34:28Perfect blend has never really been nailed down
34:32Jude Bellingham standout player on Monday excellent without the ball and progressive with it
34:37Mason man, as you mentioned right at the top is really important drifting into those hard positions on the left-hand side
34:42But you see very little of the ball in the opening 24 minutes now
34:45I think we'll be pretty
34:47Pleased with the way the game is going at the moment
34:49You have to say McKinney Adams and Moussa are doing a really good job of squeezing that space for it
34:56But as we said at the start of the the game, I think patience is a big word for tonight
35:03Just maybe now that he drifts a little bit more into a central possession
35:06I think he's going to be a little bit more of a central possession player
35:09A big word for tonight
35:11Just maybe now that he drifts a little bit more into a central possession
35:15Now has to influence things more
35:18Pulisic has been able to continue despite a confrontation with Trippier
35:22This is Weston McKinney
35:30Tyler Adams
35:34McKinney's got it back again
35:36Reggie Wright waiting in the center, so is Christian Pulisic
35:43This is Moussa
35:47Dest
35:49Weir
35:50Aimed in towards McKinney, it's over the bar
35:52It's a crapping, crapping chance for the United States of America
35:59Bit of a let off for England
36:00Well, they refuse a cross two or three times
36:03Can you think and put it in?
36:05There was an opportunity
36:07And then they lay it back
36:09And then just look at the far post
36:12It's Trippier
36:14McKinney just drops off
36:16And in that position you're so close to the goal you have to go tight
36:19From Trippier's point of view
36:21No advantage to go towards your goal
36:23Just go mark a player
36:27And there's a lot of potential in this United States group
36:29They are one of the youngest squads at the World Cup
36:31They've been on a rapid development path in the last few years
36:35Under Greg Berhalter
36:38Since missing out on Russia
36:40The project is clear
36:42They want to produce a team for when they host the World Cup in four years' time
36:46That doesn't mean they can't be competitive now
36:50Just missed the chance of the half
36:53Patient build-up
36:55It's like, when are you going to cross it?
36:58Dest playing at Milan
37:01McKinney playing at Juventus
37:03A lot of players playing at Chelsea, Leeds and Arsenal
37:25Just watch when the ball comes in
37:27You're so close to that goal you've got to go touch tight
37:30Because in any sort of space
37:32Stones gets dragged towards
37:34Truly said
37:36Trippier has to be super tight there
37:40And England got fortunate there as well
37:42Free kick was given
37:44The USA wanted to play the advantage
37:58That was a challenge that happened after the initial offence
38:00That the referee had given
38:02Sturley's back
38:29See that's too easy
38:31You can see how Sturley's looking over his shoulder
38:33Going, am I going to press? What am I doing?
38:35A little bit of indecision
38:37When they haven't got the ball in
38:39Pulisic from here
38:41Off McKinney
38:42This is Robinson
38:43McKinney's come into the penalty area now
38:47Robinson again
38:51Moussa hits it, it's a deflection which
38:53Actually didn't deviate the path of the ball too much
38:56Jordan Pickford was able to grab it
38:59It's a good block
39:01That's his job to get out in front of his back four
39:03But it's just a little problem
39:05Sterling on one side, Sakharov on the other
39:07Two or three times they bypass that
39:09When they've been playing out from the back
39:11And leaves England short in midfield
39:16Greg Bernhardt was all praise yesterday
39:19He said when they drew England
39:21That Southgate was making the shirt a cape
39:23Rather than a straight jacket
39:26Yesterday he was talking about
39:28England manager being his mentor
39:30And everyone says something nice about you
39:32Until the whistle starts
39:36Mount
39:38Into a good position but couldn't turn
39:43He would have expected someone a little bit tighter
39:45Than they were
39:47It's the first time really he's got in a dangerous position
39:50Wasn't quite sure what was behind him
39:56Chelsea have had a bit of a sticky
39:58Into the first part of the season
40:00And he had a sticky start to the campaign
40:02But he did find his form at just the right time
40:04And scored a ace goal against Germany
40:11And he climbed in the game at the Al-Khalifa Stadium
40:15Just a few short days ago
40:17Mills
40:24Dest
40:26Moosa
40:28Rick Hall
40:31Marching out to Robinson
40:35Good touch by Pulisic
40:37And Moosa was threatening to get away
40:39Jon Stones made sure that he didn't
40:43But then again the press, the trip here coming out
40:45to Robinson too late he's five six seven yards away from him when he gets the
40:51ball in able to make the pass hanging just off the pace a little bit when
40:56they're pressing
41:01good play from the USA
41:04half an hour gone still we await our first goal
41:19to try and find right it's the second top scorer in Turkish football this
41:36season
41:44he's got something in the face here
41:49he just comes across back of the elbow
42:05trippy
42:08which is behind Kane
42:11extra off with Bellingham in midfield breaking into the box a little bit more
42:21height a second target to aim at
42:33tries to pinch it and protects it get away from Adams good turn by McKinney
42:40the USA again too much room for him to run into McKinney this is Moussa trying to
42:48shift it on to Pulisic England backing off and Pulisic hits the ball
42:57how many warnings do England need
43:01yeah senior players on that need to shake the rest of the team up because it's
43:06getting a little bit too much pressure for my liking great strike from Pulisic
43:11on the other side McKinney gets away Rice couldn't stay with him all of a
43:15sudden England are on the edge of the box not enough pressure on the ball
43:19slight touch looks like from Pickford
43:26but there's more than one morning Sam just got to get a little bit tighter the
43:31USA are enjoying a good stout trying to cause problems but there's already a
43:36problem for Harry Kane
43:40he's been given to England maybe a bit of respite
43:45derriere lands right on it
43:51Oh
43:56I'm shaking
44:10USA look as if they're going to set up quite a high line here it's usually very
44:14good at carving out chances from set pieces this is very centrally what would
44:20you do it's a little bit too straight on the ball looks like Harry Kane on one
44:25side and stone on stones on the other so they've given themselves options to get
44:28the ball high and wide
44:32they've been able to get a straight ball over the top
44:37by trivia looking for Harry Maguire is hoping to recenter the ball Mike's
44:44trying to clear
44:47I did just call over John stones and have a word in his ear
45:17Johnstones is happy up on this right hand side anymore he's off but he didn't
45:30like it up there he's been playing it's a right back for Manchester City this
45:34season occasionally getting into advanced positions
45:40USA got a really good shape the back line is pretty high because it's got
45:47those three protectives no space in between those two lines in the front
45:52three pressing the back four from England so it looks really good if you've
45:58got a blue shirt on at the moment
46:03here's Luke Shaw
46:07nice amount trying to weave a crossing position a little flick from Bellingham
46:11doesn't come off still dropping in England's favour inside the box Saka
46:15trying to keep it alive Shaw's got it now Mount looking for Kane a little bit
46:21too close to Matt Turner who immediately wants to dispatch the ball upfield to
46:26Christian Pulisic, Stones has got to be alert in his
46:31that's what you thought, if you're last man, just keep your eye on everything
46:35he certainly did then, pace of the ball, flight of the ball
46:41a rare attack for England. Matt Turner was speaking yesterday insisted his team had
46:47learned from the Wales game it does appear that is the case they haven't
46:51gassed out as quickly as they did in that match he said they would also have
46:57to be better when they win the ball back if they want to score goals they
47:00had chances after turning the ball over but their final pass or effort on goal
47:05wasn't clean enough they've had the two best chances of this game and haven't
47:09taken them. You have to say England's pressing and USA have had the ball has
47:15not been particularly good they've been a little bit late to everything
47:27England pre-kick, handball against Christian Pulisic
47:4136 minutes in, how has Harry Kane moved through those minutes it was a foot
47:46problem not an ankle problem. I think Kane was a little surprised about the noise
47:49over the last few days but I think the concern was understandable bearing in
47:54mind he's had seven separate ankle injuries during his career. Well when you saw the
47:59replay it didn't look like he twisted his ankle but I think reassuring that
48:05Karen was down there pitch side and saw that he was striking balls no problem at
48:10all so no real worry with that. Turner-Adams trying to travel forward dealt with by
48:15Mason Mount. If you think how many times you put your laces through a ball as I
48:20said before it's not that often you might get one or two chances where he's
48:23actually striking it like that that might hurt a bit but he'll put up with
48:27that if one goes in the back of the net.
48:43Weston McKinney is winding up for a long throw into the England box towards it
48:50McGuire engaged it's still not under control Wright's got it now trying to
48:56twist away from John Stones who did well. The USA have a corner
49:12He's scored goals in Turkey this season. He's got 15 last campaign for Antilles Sport
49:18he's already got nine this season. So he's a goal threat too.
49:25Corner aimed in towards the near post dealt with by Harry McGuire.
49:30Sterling being manhandled by Serginio Destini. It was unnecessary really because he had backup.
49:42England lacking a little bit of tempo for you Lee? Yeah all over the place with and
49:46without the ball. I'm sure Gareth will have something to say at halftime but as I said
49:51sometimes you just got to give some credit to the opposition their
49:55organization's been spot-on so far just no real spark in this England team at the moment.
50:16Moosa. He's pinched by Harry McGuire but he's left space as he's gone to engage
50:21Wright. He's got two waiting in the center at the back post Pulisic. It's too heavy for him.
50:26England now got to move it upfield quickly. Trying to capitalize on a misshapen USA.
50:34Kane's found Mount. Saka wants it in the middle. Saka gets it. Look at the space out wide for Shaw
50:40on the left-hand side. If England could work it that way. That's a poor ball.
50:55Yeah. Right idea. Poor execution.
51:00Nothing really coming off for England.
51:10Here he goes again. Dest. Look at Pulisic peeling off on the back post. Dest is going a long way.
51:26That knee deflection takes it out on this near side for another USA corner. I'll tell you what
51:32Harry McGuire did well there because he's left one v one. Dest goes on the overlap and he's running
51:37at him. He's got to back off a little bit. Once he gets in the box, very difficult.
51:42He keeps his eye on the ball. Doesn't get too square. Just does enough.
51:56England have been good at attacking set pieces for a while. They'll need to
52:00be on their mark defending one now.
52:05Pulisic. Easy for McGuire to deal with. Pulisic got a lot of criticism actually for his
52:13corner delivery in the game against Wales. Quite rightly too.
52:30Shouldn't there be a bit of criticism for England at halftime? Things certainly need to improve.
52:40Moussa. Pulisic. Good space for McKinney. It's left for McGuire. Then on to right.
52:49And by Dest and the header is by Pulisic. It's going wide. Jordan Pickford was well aware that it was but
52:56there's too many holes in that England defence. Yeah, another chance for the USA to stop the cross.
53:01Didn't happen. Came in and Pulisic off his shoulder. Just falling off the ball a little.
53:08The Gareth Southgate will be concerned because this first half has not been good enough for England.
53:12They've been off the pace.
53:26Lots of points in. He's talking to the trippier now. Arms going all over the place.
53:32Trippier trying to put his case for the defence.
53:34But they've just been second best all over the pitch for me.
53:36Sterling.
53:38Saka. Lots of blue shirts. Back to harass England.
53:40Trippier. Bellingham. Look at the run of Matt. Didn't get spotted or put through.
53:42Shaw towards the far post.
53:44And Matt Turner is too big.
53:46And it's a goal.
