00:00Senators have estimated that they will spend US$500 million in foreign military financing for the Philippines

00:08which was decided by the United States as an allocation for our country.

00:13According to Senate President Francis Escudero, he is thanking America for the help in strengthening our military alliance.

00:21This will show that the two countries are friends and equal partners in the pursuit of peace,

00:29freedom of navigation, and rules-based approach where there are differences.

00:35As former Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri said,

00:38the partnership between the Philippines and the United States is special because of our treaty

00:43as allies of the country and equality in the pursuit of democracy and respect for the rule of law.
