00:00I want to hear Antonio Pierce talking about his average quarterbacks.
00:08Yep.
00:09So Aiden O'Connell and Gardner Minshew is of course the quarterback battle to see who
00:14will be the starter for Pierce in his first full year as the Raider head coach.
00:19Let's just say he doesn't seem very enthused that either is really grabbing the bull by
00:26the horn so far.
00:27So every time you're down here we have to ask for an update on the quarterback competitions.
00:30What have you seen from them?
00:31Where do you stand right now?
00:32Status quo.
00:33Just that.
00:34Status quo.
00:35Is there anything more you want to see them do?
00:36Kind of take charge of the competition?
00:37Yeah.
00:38Just that.
00:39I like to see, again I'm going to keep saying this, just somebody to take it and say I'm
00:42the guy AP.
00:43And make it clear and evident and then we'll make that decision at that point.
00:46Somebody please.
00:47Can somebody please just show me that they want the job is what your boy is saying.
00:51Can somebody play well is what Antonio is saying.
00:56Again, another team that gets all this annual juice no matter what.
01:02It doesn't matter if they had no coach, if they played the single wing, if they had literally
01:09no one at all of any talent that's reputable on the team, they would still get attention.
01:16They always get attention.
01:17It doesn't even matter when they were in Oakland, in Los Angeles, in Vegas.
01:21They always get attention like they matter.
01:24And they simply do not matter.
01:28They don't matter.
01:29I hear about this.
01:30It is the same thing.
01:31It's like a broken record.
01:32How I hear about the vaunted Raiders and the Raiders.
01:38I mean, honest to Christ, they haven't done anything since Al was alive.
01:41I mean, honestly, and long before that, like he didn't win at the end either.
01:46So it's been forever and it still will be forever with those two hat quarterbacks.
01:52I like Gardner as a funny guy, but that's it.
01:56He's serviceable.
01:57That's what they use for quarterbacks that are average, serviceable.
02:01He's Jacoby for set.
02:04And look, I know that he almost got the Colts in the playoffs last year.
02:09They lost that last game, but he's good in small stretches, right?
02:14He's good to come off the bench, give you juice if you need it for a half or a couple
02:19of weeks if a guy gets hurt.
02:21For a long haul, 17 games, I don't know, it just doesn't really, it doesn't really do
02:27it for me if that's my guy that's playing, but I think he's going to, I think he's going
02:32to beat the other guy.
02:33I think he's going to beat Adams.
02:36That's all they got on that team and Max Crosby.
02:40If they're smart, I think that this kid that they drafted, Brock Bowers, is going to be
02:45good.
02:46I've seen some things from out there with the offensive coordinator and about how our
02:52tight ends got to learn how to block and all this other stuff.
02:56That's not what Brock Bowers does, Scotty.
02:59Brock Bowers goes out and he catches the football and he scores touchdowns.
03:04Go put his Georgia tape on.
03:06Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, they didn't waste time having Brock Bowers block
03:12anyone.
03:13He was out there making plays.
03:16They wasted Mayer last year from Notre Dame because Michael Mayer, same thing.
03:21When he was in South Bend, he was catching the football and he was going to the end zone.
03:26Now they go and get Bowers and they have two tight ends now who can both be very dominant
03:32on the field as pass catchers and they're going to waste them because they want to run
03:36some.
03:37We're going to run it.
03:38We're going to run it and we're not going to use these two great tight ends that we
03:42have.
03:43That's what they're going to do in Vegas this year is that.
03:45I might run it too if I had those two quarterbacks.
