00:07brought on only by himself because he often finds a way of doing that saying
00:12there wasn't much urgency and trying to negotiate a contract extension with CD
00:18land he kind of clarified that yesterday quote I understand completely the angst
00:25that's happening whether you're missed or not well CD you're missed and quote
00:31that was said by Jerry on the Cowboys preseason broadcast before their
00:36preseason opener against the LA Rams what do we make of the situation in
00:40Dallas at this moment entering week two of the preseason I still don't understand
00:45because usually you say to yourself Ben the organization holds the hammer and
00:49typically in Cincinnati since that is the one franchise that goes you know
00:52what we actually would like our superstars to sit out because I'm gonna
00:55have to pay we're gonna make the same amount of money on the field and
00:57probably bank more money if I don't have to pay these guys if they're upset they
01:01can't perform who cares we're gonna make money the Dallas Cowboys are in a
01:03different boat here like Jerry Jones is getting up there in age wants to see a
01:07Super Bowl more than anything but play this offseason completely wrong on how
01:11you're going about how to be all in and when I take a look at who actually
01:14holds the hammer in this situation it's CD lamb what's gonna happen here CD lamb
01:18doesn't show up the camp doesn't play the first couple weeks Dallas is in the
01:21toilet and then also the guy well just not gonna like he's going to get his
01:24contract he's gonna probably reset the bar for wide receivers why didn't we do
01:28this three weeks ago why don't we do this a month ago at this point I don't
01:31understand the holdout not from CD lands perspective but from the Cowboys and even
01:35more innocuous was the Jerry Jones comments like well you know I'm not
01:39worried about this if you're not worried about see let's just say he's not
01:42worried about it and see the lamb doesn't play this year the Cowboys
01:44probably win nine games at maximum maximum on a great season so what is he
01:50talking about this point CD lamb is the guy the book I understand it's the
01:54quarterback but outside him Michael Parsons is great on defense if CD lamb
01:58doesn't show for that offense it's straight-up pedestrian this year so CD
02:02lamb holds all the cards in Dallas for me
