Soft Tennis Pilipinas, naglunsad ng Soft Tennis Clinic para sa PWD sa DSWD-NVRC

00:00As part of Disability Awareness Month,
00:04Soft Tennis Pilipinas launched a sports clinic
00:08for persons with disabilities.
00:10Here's Ula Tisa Belreyes.
00:14Persons with disabilities were given the opportunity
00:17to play soft tennis at the DSWD National Vocational Rehabilitation Center.
00:21Because of this, the Soft Tennis Clinic was launched this Monday morning
00:25for our PWDs.
00:27It was possible because of the support of Soft Tennis Pilipinas,
00:30Juan Meralco Foundation, and the local government of Quezon City
00:34led by Vice Mayor Guian Soto.
00:36We really wanted to support because it's part of the program
00:39of the inclusivity of our program, our sports development office.
00:42The distribution of different sports programs
00:46to all our brothers and sisters in QC, including our PWDs.
00:51Business Center Head Agnes Makog also assured
00:54that they will continue to support these programs,
00:57not only in Soft Tennis, but also in other sports.
01:00So I think in the next few years, you will see us more involved,
01:05not just in Soft Tennis, but probably with other sports that we may tap.
01:09According to Sea Games Multimedalist, Bianzuleta Maniala,
01:12she emphasized that it's important to make sports inclusive,
01:15especially for PWDs.
01:17Sports is for everyone.
01:21It's not just for the abled, but also for our PWDs.
01:27Through Soft Tennis, we were able to give them joy and awareness
01:33that even they can play sports.
01:36NVRC Center Head Maria Liza also expressed her gratitude
01:40to all the participants of the successful Soft Tennis Clinic.
01:43We would like to thank the Philippine Soft Tennis Association
01:49for making a project here at the National Vocational Rehabilitation Center.
