00:56because that high-end starting pitching effort that you can get out of him
00:59moving down the stretch could impact another team but it's just crazy to see
01:02him on that deadline after just coming over to the Giants. But also let's be
01:07honest with ourselves in the past less wildcard teams usually equals a much
01:12much more exciting deadline because a lot of teams are figuring six, seven,
01:16eight, nine, ten games out of it. Let's sell here you sell to the better teams
01:19and that sprint towards the finish. You're not getting that this year and if
01:22you do want to get one of these superstar players you are going to pay a
01:25premium in order to get them because we were just thinking just a week or two
01:28ago like hey Scoobles on the you know on the market for a chance to be moved by
01:32the deadline and quite frankly myself me you Craig we're saying to ourselves like
01:36what like Scoobles in his 20s now like it's not the guy you're supposed to keep
01:39around why you still have him under wraps here for a team that may be still
01:43in contention so it's good to see that on one aspect of it and also from me
01:47being a Philadelphia Phillies fan or let's just say you're a Yankees fan or
01:50an Orioles fan the thought process behind it was the Dodgers are gonna get
01:54two Cy Young award-winning arms at the deadline in a way they go to win it now
01:57looks like if that's gonna be the case they have to give up just about their
01:59entire farm system in order to get that so when we take a look at these names is
02:03the big names on the block Fetty, Flaherty, Luis Robert Jr.,
02:08Rangifo, Diaz it's like well where's all the superstar players well a lot of these
02:11players are still on teams that are within a couple games or a handful of
02:14games we should say on making the playoffs so even though the advent of
02:17the wild card was fantastic for baseball overall it does take a little bit of a
02:21steam out of the trade deadline because more teams think they can actually make
02:24the playoffs and that's the goal
