00:05:54Still mako is just fun in general. No, he's not. He's such a blank
00:05:57Hahaha
00:05:59How is this game that looks like something g a g mod designer made overnight on crack is a better experience overall than the majority
00:06:04of modern games
00:06:05Uh, it's because you are clearly 12 and you don't know how games work
00:06:11I'm kind of tired of you. So we're gonna just gonna ban you from the chat. Oh fucking
00:06:26So
00:06:44I laughed so hard at that snipe. Hey, it's insanity. You kind of accept constant deaths going in
00:06:51On insanity mode most of the uh, most of the encounters have a particular rhythm to them and you will die a lot
00:06:58But that's fine because you reload instantly
00:07:20So
00:07:36Medigel deployed
00:07:38So
00:07:50I remember hardcore runs of call of duty and gears of war when I was in high school and college
00:07:53Oh, yeah, arguably this is even worse and like as the games go on and they become more focused on your powers and your abilities
00:08:01Unless on firefights the fights get even more technical
00:08:04So
00:08:07This game can actually be quite stylish when it wants to be

00:10:28Lemonade sings a real renter's insurance customer review
00:10:37There are two ways this story can go one with a line and one with united's backdrop shortcut
00:10:46I know which one I prefer the one with the united app
00:10:57So
00:11:21Oh
00:11:24Oh my ability to shoot has been well, that's not good
00:11:32So
00:11:53Well, there we go
00:11:56So
00:12:00Right as I knock out an enemy
00:12:21Hmm
00:12:26So
00:12:43Shoot disabled
00:12:55So good as new
00:13:26So
00:13:49So
00:13:55So
00:14:02There we go and i'll put shield boost there
00:14:17It looks like this cavern went around the ruin after it was built
00:14:25So
00:14:30Hmm
00:14:55So
00:15:02It looks like this cavern formed around the ruin after it was built
00:15:14Well, just like jenkins
00:15:17So
00:15:24You know
00:15:27Hang on a second
00:15:37This game came out in 2007
00:15:40and jenkins died
00:15:42by like
00:15:44Moving on ahead and getting crunched
00:15:47Was that a stealth reference to leeroy jenkins?
00:16:14So
00:16:20Oh, I feel so old suddenly I could definitely see that the world's most subtle leeroy jenkins joke
00:16:44So
00:16:46Bioware would never pay homage to uh blizzard like that. Why wouldn't they?
00:17:05Can you hear me out there i'm trapped I need help
00:17:14I
00:17:18Thank the goddess I did not think anyone would come looking for me
00:17:22Listen, this thing i'm in is a profane security device. I cannot move so I need you to get me out of it. All right
00:17:37There's some kind of propulsion field in the way it's a profane barrier curtain
00:17:42I knew it would keep me safe from the death
00:17:44When I turned it on I must have hit something. I wasn't supposed to I was trapped in here. You must get me out, please
00:17:53Your mother is working with sarin whose side are you on what I am not on anybody's side
00:18:00I may be benezia's daughter, but i'm nothing like her. I have not spoken to her in years. Please just get me out of here
00:18:07We'll find some way to help you there is a control in here that should deactivate this thing
00:18:12You'll have to find some way past the barrier curtain. That's the tricky part
00:18:17The defenses cannot be shut off from the outside. I don't know how you'll get in here
00:18:21Be careful. There was a krogan with the gap. They have been trying different ways to get past the barrier
00:18:36So
00:19:01Hmm
00:19:06Hmm
00:19:37So
00:19:42Here we go
00:20:06Oh
00:20:13How did you get in here I didn't think there was any way past the barrier
00:20:19We blasted through with the mining laser, of course, yes, that makes sense
00:20:25Please get me out of here before more geth arrive that button over there should shut down this containment field
00:20:37So
00:20:47Any idea how we get out of this place
00:20:50There is an elevator back in the center of the tower. At least I I think it's an elevator
00:20:54It should take us out of here. Come on
00:20:59I I still cannot believe all this. Why would the geth come after me?
00:21:04Do you think benezia's involved?
00:21:06Salem's looking for the conduit. You're a prothean expert. He probably wants you to help him find it the conduit, but I don't know
00:21:18What the hell was that
00:21:21These ruins are not stable that mining laser must have triggered a seismic event
00:21:28We have to hurry the whole place is caving in
00:21:31In
00:21:34Joker get the normandy airborne and locking on my signal on the double mister. Aye. Aye commander secure and away eta eight minutes
00:21:43He needs to move faster
00:22:01So
00:22:17Surrender or don't that would be more fun
00:22:24We don't have time to deal with this idiot charge
00:22:27You
00:22:37Shields disabled
00:22:39So
00:22:54Shields
00:23:09There we go
00:23:12So
00:23:34About how ea who hated blizzard for uh
00:23:37Launch title competition back in the day bought by or literally a month before this game first released. Yeah a month before it released
00:23:45Not while it was in development
00:23:48And look here's the thing
00:23:50Ea might ea and activision might have at some point had this like weird beef going on
00:23:55But that doesn't mean that the devs weren't allowed to crack jokes about other games
00:24:00That never happened like here's the thing
00:24:02Publishers are not that minutely controlling
00:24:07The normandy the only time publishers are that minutely controlling is in instances like
00:24:15The only time uh publishers are that minutely controlling is instances like
00:24:20Deus ex human revolution where like they were going to put a final fantasy poster in there and their own parent company didn't want to
00:24:26Let it happen
00:24:29So
00:24:36Ea is actually weirdly hands off with bioware
00:24:51Oftentimes two hands off when you think about it. Sometimes joker's a real ass. Just try to ignore him. I see
00:24:57It must be a human thing
00:24:59I don't have a lot of experience dealing with your species commander, but I am grateful to you
00:25:05You saved my life back there and not just from the volcano those geth would have killed me or dragged me off to sarin
00:25:11What did sarin want with you? Do you know something about the conduit?
00:25:15Only that it was somehow connected to the profian extinction. That is my real area of expertise
00:25:20I have spent the past 50 years trying to figure out what happened to them
00:25:24I've got my own theory on why the protheans disappeared
00:25:29With all due respect commander. I have heard every theory out there. They let bioware cook for better or worse
00:25:35Yeah, everybody blames ea for anthem
00:25:37but actually like one of the big problems with anthem was that ea like basically was just
00:25:42Extremely hands off came along after the protheans were gone and cleansed the galaxy of clues
00:25:48But here is the incredible part according to my findings
00:25:51The protheans were not the first galactic civilization to mysteriously vanish this cycle began long before them
00:26:02It was always weird that square enix wouldn't actually let them make uh, make a joke about final fantasy because like
00:26:09I mean final bit outside of kingdom hearts final fantasy has been nothing but a joke
00:26:21So
00:26:51So
00:27:21So
00:27:29One of the reasons people tend to blame ea for bioware's shortcomings is because
00:27:33It's a good narrative like bioware was a titan of the industry. They basically put rpg
00:27:40character driven rpgs on the map
00:27:43And without uh and and so the idea that they could release bad games it's like that can't be the case
00:27:49I mean it must have been oh, it's everything went to shit once ea bought them. No, not really
00:27:56Sometimes they have duds
00:28:00I mean
00:28:01The thing about like the thing about bioware is like bioware has always had duds
00:28:05They make something really good and then they drop an absolute dud
00:28:09They made balder's gate, which was amazing and then they made neverwinter nights
00:28:15They made knights of the old republic, which was amazing
00:28:19And then they made jade empire. They made mass effect, which was amazing
00:28:23And then they made dragon age
00:28:27They made the old republic which was amazing
00:28:31And then they made
00:28:34And then they made anthem
00:28:44Hmm
00:28:51It's just that over the years like
00:28:54Dev times have gotten longer and longer and longer. So the duds stick with people way more
00:29:01Like mass effect andromeda was fine it was about as good as dragon age is
00:29:07It had a lot of the same problems in terms of like character and narrative that dragon age did
00:29:15Right down to basically having that weird tone system
00:29:23Like once I saw the dialogue options all had a tone attached to them like dragon age 2 had I was like, uh, okay
00:29:29I see what we're in for
00:29:35Previously like let me take a look here bioware bioware games
00:29:39Bioware games
00:29:42Hell everybody just forgets about sonic chronicles
00:29:46So, let's see
00:29:47balder's gate 2 released in 2000
00:29:50Neverwinter nights released in 2002
00:29:53And then kotor released in 2003
00:29:56And then jade empire released in 2005 and then mass effect released in 2007
00:30:01so it's like
00:30:04Good game
00:30:05Like great game two years later a dud
00:30:09One year later a great game two years later a dud two years later a great game one year later a dud
00:30:16One year later another dud one year later a great game one year later a dud
00:30:23That same year a great game a year later a dud
00:30:28So
00:30:35Starting in 2007 bioware was releasing a major game every single year
00:30:42Was the catalyst of the whole ken penders clown show, yep
00:30:45Uh
00:30:55So, yeah for starting from like yeah, so let's yeah, so
00:31:01One two, three, four five six
00:31:06Seven eight nine
00:31:09Ten eleven
00:31:15Twelve
00:31:21And then 12 so yeah, uh, that's the thing from 2000 to 2014
00:31:26over 15 years bioware released 12 games
00:31:3212 games in 15 years
00:31:40And then three years later mass effect andromeda came out
00:31:43And then two years later anthem came out
00:31:48And now it's been fucking five years until dragon age the veil guard comes out
00:31:57That's why bioware honestly feels like they've fallen off lately because they've got because like I said
00:32:02Bioware has had duds rather frequent duds, but it's usually the very next year. They release the best game. They've made so far
00:32:10However
00:32:12The gap between like their last good game, which was inquisition and now
00:32:18Has been a decade
00:32:24It's interesting when you look it's interesting when you actually look at it because like
00:32:29it's interesting when you actually look at it because
00:32:32Bioware goes from releasing like a good game than a dud than a good game than a dud every like
00:32:38Each one each year
00:32:42And then suddenly it's been a decade and they've released three games
00:32:47That's a very sudden drop off in like what you're releasing and when?
00:32:55The scope and scale like as when people say the scope and scale of game development has changed so
00:33:01Drastically since like the ps uh since the eighth generation of consoles released they mean it
00:33:16When you hit more often than you miss and you're the top of the meter going afk fucks with your dps
00:33:22Yeah, like bioware hasn't released
00:33:25Uh, like like I said, yeah in the last since it's been 10 years since dragon age inquisition came out
00:33:31and we have had
00:33:34An okay follow-up to mass effect
00:33:37And a terrible looter shooter
00:33:40That's it in 10 years
00:34:01Hmm
00:34:10So people like to blame ea but the truth is bioware has kind of always been like this
00:34:15it's just that the time it takes anyone to make a game now is just
00:34:21massively increased
00:34:25Like five-year dev cycles are the norm now
00:34:29It never used to be the case I think like mass effect one and two were made in three years each
00:34:36And mass effect three was made in two, but that was on serious crunch
00:34:45And yeah
00:34:48I like to imagine that shepherd is listening to you right now like
00:34:51Fucking no, I I'd actually rather you guys engage with what i'm saying
00:34:56Rather than talking past me like that
00:34:59Uh
00:35:05And the truth is I don't expect dragon age the veil guard to set the world on fire
00:35:10Judging from its gameplay. It looks like it's it looks like it's going to be borrowing live service gameplay, which isn't anything new
00:35:19Bioware has kind of always borrowed the popular gameplay style of the moment
00:35:24Like or well they did for mass effect mass effect basically just said okay
00:35:28We're gonna borrow the gameplay style of gears of war and bolt our own rpg onto it and it worked
00:35:41I think it's one of avalon's best work. You can tell you learn from working on kotor 2 namely for the much much smaller cast
00:35:54So
00:35:56Am I correct to assume that the demand of 3d and bigger bigger bigger makes development times longer
00:36:01And now it's just more noticeable when a game sucks. Yes, that's exact. That's exactly it
00:36:06Graphical fidelity has just cranked up and up and up
00:36:09It's interesting somebody suggested that at the at the start of the ps3 era
00:36:14Somebody said, you know, we've reached the point where graphics really aren't going to get much better
00:36:17Of course, look at an early ps3 game. Look at a high fidelity game now
00:36:22My miles apart
00:36:26But the thing is these days it's no longer necessarily about model quality or like
00:36:31Texture or texture quality. It's all about lighting and shaders
00:36:35and ray tracing
00:36:39It's all about all those post-processing effects that make games look better now, but uh
00:36:44Yeah, just games are too big
00:36:47They're way too big. They're way too big for what they want to be
00:36:52and
00:36:52the fact that they have to be in be these like
00:36:56fully, uh these full triple a level
00:37:00Hyper like hyper hyper fit. It's like extremely high fidelity. Uh, extremely high fidelity 3d games
00:37:10Makes dev times take longer and this was the case even like even way back way back in uh in 2002
00:37:17Like the jump from 2d to 3d even just from balder's gate to neverwinter nights was an absurd amount of work
00:37:30Because when you're making like when you make something when you make something 3d
00:37:35There's so many more moving parts and so many more variables to actually making it work
00:37:40And the workload has actually been hugely increased just by virtue of the fact that like
00:37:47You can't you can't fake it anymore. You're not allowed to fake it anymore
00:37:50Like if a character walks they have to like they have to they have to go from from standing
00:37:56They have to go from like standing to jogging
00:37:58They have to like accelerate to it and that takes four different fucking animations
00:38:02And then like and then they actually have to like slow down and stumble to a stop
00:38:17So
00:38:21So even just getting a character to walk across a fucking room is a pain in the ass now
00:38:30And you have to do it you have to do it on average we spend 93 of our lives indoors
00:38:39But can you imagine missing a moment like this
00:38:42You know
00:38:45Life happens out there
00:38:54That looks really high it is high
00:38:57Whatever you're ready, are there any sticks? Nope. You sure here we go. It's time to push your limits
00:39:08You're doing great
00:39:11Whoa, is that a buffalo? Maybe that's a cow
00:39:16The subaru cross-track wilderness adventure on the edge
00:39:20Want to know what makes tails wag blue nudges steak grillers with real beef and jerky made with tender

00:39:29Give your dog the real ingredients in blue buffalo treats the official treats of real joy
00:39:38Not you again
00:39:40I can't talk to a doctor about this. It's embarrassing
00:39:49First they're sour
00:39:53And then they're sweet
00:39:57Sour patch kids
00:40:10Light it up loud star unicorn academy rainbow light up loud star. I'll go separately
00:40:30Here for happy
00:40:40The moment I loved a sugary outcast
00:40:45Just the moment they left you with me
00:40:49And that's why our families will only try the sugary
00:40:54More ihs
00:41:02Want to know what makes their wag blue nudges steak grillers with real beef
00:41:10And
00:41:17Those graphics and I said
00:41:19It doesn't matter the graph and I said to him graphics don't matter plays this uh plays these the gameplay is uh
00:41:23The same and he just looked at me went. Yeah, but the the graphics man
00:41:34It's the same same shit animation fans do with recent with recent cartoons. Yep
00:41:38Animation like animation fans are animation fandom is so weirdly obsessed with smoothness
00:41:45with like frame rates they love
00:41:48Throwing things into ai to show them in 60 fps. It's like look how smooth that is
00:41:54even though it like people have said before it's
00:41:57people who actually know animation at all would be like that's
00:42:00utterly terrible
00:42:08But it's funny people will people will just be like oh man
00:42:11Look how amazing this animation is and it's like a two second clip a very smooth animation of someone breathing
00:42:26That's a lot for what's ultimately the basics when adults demand games that make them feel like they're back in the 2000s
00:42:31They end up feeling relatively small
00:42:33So they got to make them bigger more often to give the game a good feeling of immersion
00:42:36Relative to the player's perspective of a big of a big game at that point jack and daxter feels
00:42:42Infinitesimal in comparison to say elden ring. Yeah
00:42:48No wonder nowadays they use motion capture. Yep
00:42:52That acts the animation to pieces and throws the animator out of the art out of the art process. Yeah
00:42:58Uh, and yeah
00:42:59People just people fixate so much on graphics like one of the reasons people like here's the thing boulders gate 3 sold a lot
00:43:08And it outsold the original boulders gate the original boulders gate series by like
00:43:1630 percent
00:43:19And that's a lot and you'd be you'd be surprised look at that
00:43:21It's like how is it the third game is the best selling?
00:43:24Well, i'll tell you why a lot of people know about boulders gate
00:43:28A lot of people know boulders gate is like one of the best rpgs ever made
00:43:33And a lot of people only played three
00:43:36Because it's the pretty one. They know about boulders gate, but they don't want to play it because it's like
00:43:42really old and really ugly
00:43:45And this one's like all bright and shiny and new
00:43:48Kingdom hearts is the same way every like
00:43:51Anytime anyone ever has to talk about kingdom hearts with somebody who doesn't play kingdom hearts
00:43:56The first question is can't I just like start at three?
00:44:01And of course the answer is like you could I don't see why you'd want to every game in the series is good
00:44:07But what they don't say and what they won't say is that the real reason they want to start at three
00:44:12The real reason that they complained about the story making no sense the real reason that they want recaps and
00:44:18catch-ups for everything for the story all the time is because
00:44:23I don't want to like play with like the ps2 graphics. I want to play the like the new one the shiny one pretty one
00:44:32It was the case with fallout 3 when fallout 3 first came out fallout 3 massively outsold fallout 1 and 2
00:44:39And why because fallout 1 and 2 are very old school 2d, uh crpgs
00:44:46but fallout 3 is like
00:44:493d and pretty and open world and I can like go anywhere in the wasteland
00:45:00The main reason a lot of people won't play older games in a series, but will absolutely buy up the new one
00:45:06Is because they're still fixated primarily on graphics
00:45:11And with baldur's gate 3 in particular you can see this in the way so many people fixate so hard on romance
00:45:26And the way a lot of people focus
00:45:28Really hard on how much dialogue a character somebody gets I actually saw somebody complain
00:45:34Complain that like
00:45:36Oh a big problem with will as a character is that he just has way less conversations than say like a starian gets
00:45:45The most unique conversations and will gets the least
00:45:49What people don't really think about though is that that's quantity not quality a starian may have not may have like the most conversations
00:45:56But most of them are ear-bleedingly terrible. Meanwhile, every conversation with will is gold
00:46:04I will gladly take fewer dial. Hey the best character in the entire baldur's gate series
00:46:11Didn't get actual banter dialogue until throne of ball
00:46:21So a character not having as much not having as much content
00:46:25Doesn't bother me, but it does bother a lot of people because it's not about quality. It's about quantity for them
00:46:32Is it pretty and is there lots of content is there lots and lots and lots of content
00:46:39Doesn't matter how good that content is
00:47:02So
00:47:32Hmm
00:47:36Like when skyrim became popular without ever playing oblivion morrowind or daggerfall
00:47:41No, no morrowind and oblivion were pretty popular. Uh elder scrolls was consistently pretty popular. It's just that
00:47:48The the most recent elder scrolls is usually the most popular
00:47:54It's giving dog where no matter what they eat they will eat it they will eat it. Yeah, kind of
00:48:02Yeah
00:48:06I'm even guilty of focusing way too much on bg2's romance
00:48:09Even though I haven't played either two or three yet
00:48:11And I certainly won't be playing three anytime soon because ew, that's like expensive and long bad
00:48:16I mean bg3 is actually not that long like compared to bg2
00:48:20Bg3 is not very long because here's the thing bg3 is not as big and expansive as people like to believe it is
00:48:26It's just that it's been 10 years since we last had an rpg like this
00:48:32So
00:48:39Most people will actually tell you to play oblivion over skyrim, which I was on. No, they won't
00:48:45That's not most people
00:48:54That's like when that's like basically saying oh most people like morrowind better because
00:48:58You get directions instead of a mark on your map
00:49:00No, they don't if if people loved the getting directions instead of a mark on their map. They would have kept that mechanic in
00:49:08They would have kept that mechanic if people liked it, but people didn't like it
00:49:14There's actually something really interesting about the way get away gamers will often
00:49:18Bitch about something at one point and then like 10 years later say oh, you know, that was actually pretty fun
00:49:23Why did they ever take it out because you bitched and moaned about it all the fucking time?
00:49:28like hell the uh
00:49:29The mako you guys thought that like you guys saw me using the mako and you thought it was like a whole lot of fun
00:49:34people bitched and bitched and bitched and bitched about the mako
00:49:40So fucking much and so they took it out in mass effect 2
00:49:43And then when mass effect 3 came around people were like man. I miss the mako
00:49:48Exploring random planets was fun. Then. Why did you bitch about it?
00:49:58World of warcraft probably gets this the worst
00:50:01people romanticize the days where like of classic wow where like
00:50:06Remember the social aspect of wow remember when you had to manually form your party and actually go to the instance
00:50:13Yeah, I remember it. I also remember the fact that we hated it
00:50:17And when they brought in the random dungeon finder everyone collectively went. Yay
00:50:23Finally
00:50:26Everyone
00:50:29There was somebody uh, it was nixxiom nixxiom was doing a video about the social aspect of wow basically reminiscing on
00:50:36uh on classic wow
00:50:41And
00:50:42he unintentionally
00:50:45he unintentionally saw he like unintentionally self-reported because it was
00:50:50because basically he said it's like
00:50:52I man we used to have to have all this all of this server
00:50:55Uh all of this like there was a server community
00:50:58And you had to be like really social with people and you had to form connections with people
00:51:02But now I don't do all that because I don't have to
00:51:05And it's like there it is
00:51:07You don't have to so you don't do it
00:51:12You only socialized in wow when blizzard forced you to which means
00:51:19You didn't like the social aspect of wow
00:51:22The social aspect of wow is still well and truly alive. You just have to join
00:51:28a guild
00:51:31So my excuse to not touch bg3 are just ew, that's like expensive and I don't want anything to do with astarion
00:51:36Lae's elm and thara and gale, etc
00:51:38Well truth be told if you don't want to if you don't want a companion in your party in bg3
00:51:42You can just kill them when you find them
00:51:47That's what I do most of the time I see astarion on top of that hill and I just immediately open fire
00:51:52Uh
00:52:22So
00:52:26I want every gun we have firing on that man. I want that tweak. Uh guys actually engage with what i'm saying here
00:52:40Rose-colored glasses exist for literally everything gamers think they're unique when it happens to when it happens to everything without fail. Yep
00:52:52I
00:52:54Just
00:52:57People will very preemptively bitch about something and then miss it when it's gone
00:53:04And it's like man, why'd they ever take this out because you complained
00:53:09And you wouldn't stop complaining
00:53:11If you don't want the fun features taken out stop complaining about them
00:53:16It makes me think of pokemon how like pokemon has utterly destroyed exploration
00:53:23It's now a very linear linear
00:53:27Uh, it's a very linear directed adventure from one cut scene to the next and people go what the fuck happened
00:53:34What happened here? Why'd they get rid of exploration?
00:53:36Because you whined about it
00:53:39And you complained about it for a decade
00:53:42Hms bad was the dominant conversation in pokemon for so fucking long
00:53:48So they take out hms and they take out the things that made hms necessary
00:53:54And you're surprised
00:54:01People just don't realize what they're really asking for. Yeah
00:54:04Is that it's confirmed garrosh planned for the sun reavers to be purged so that the
00:54:07Sun reavers to be purged so that the
00:54:10Will be forced to say what?
00:54:12Okay, regibar. You need to stop talking past me
00:54:16Engage with what is actually going on. Don't have your own little conversation. Uh, like to yourself in chat
00:54:29It's hard to read chat when like three of you were off topic talking to nobody
00:54:38Hmm
00:54:39The fans say the devs never listen. They do people don't realize what they're asking for
00:54:42yep, people don't realize what they're asking for a lot of pokemon fans, they hated hms because it's like
00:54:48I can't be fully optimized
00:54:50I can't have full coverage on each pokemon. You don't need it
00:54:54You don't fucking need it being fully optimized means balancing between attacking moves and hms
00:55:02But they don't care
00:55:03It's like I don't care
00:55:05I want to it's like they didn't want to think about their their pokemon's move set as having to be for both of the field
00:55:11and battle
00:55:13Like why would most why would like half the moves have a field usage if not for that exact reason?
00:55:20But just hmm. I don't care. I want to be optimized for battle only. Okay, we'll take out exploration then
00:55:27I
00:55:30Wonder what people bitched about to get the national decks killed nothing. No, no that that was that was entirely game freak
00:55:39Reminds me of the zelda cycle
00:55:42yeah, well, I mean
00:55:43Yeah
00:55:43the zelda cycle is just kind of inevitable because zelda as a series is just
00:55:48It's it's hyped up as like the greatest thing in the goddamn universe and it really isn't
00:55:57So
00:56:09Get to the point the galaxy is built on a cycle of extinction
00:56:16Wait commander seren might try another attempt on my life
00:56:20I'd feel safer if you let me stay on your ship besides my knowledge of the protheans might prove useful later
00:56:26And her biotics will come in handy when the fighting starts we've already got every other non-human species on board
00:56:33Might as well add an asari to the team
00:56:36Thank you commander. I am very grateful
00:56:40I'm afraid I am feeling a bit lightheaded. When was the last time you ate or slept?
00:56:45Dr. Chakra should take a look at you. It is probably just mental exhaustion
00:56:50Coupled with the shock of discovering the protheans true fate
00:56:54I need some time to process all this still it could not hurt to be examined by a medical professional
00:56:59It will give me the chance to think things over
00:57:03Are we finished here commander?
00:57:04Go see the doctor the rest of you dismissed
00:57:08Mission reports are filed commander. You want me to patch you through to the council?
00:57:15Don't bother aye aye ma'am
00:57:23Hmm
00:57:28Hmm
00:57:29Yelled at game freak to not take it out and then the apologist attacked them and bullied them to the silence
00:57:33Yeah, that seems to be the case with pokemon is that with uh with pokemon if you make any criticism of the games at all
00:57:40some uh
00:57:42Some dick rider is just going to like screech at you. I mean hell i've just been subjected to this recently
00:57:47I gave very minor criticisms of a decade old game and had people going. Oh my god. Can you not read?
00:57:54Yeah, I can read the text the text the text was shit
00:57:57So
00:58:14And people really get on my case about gen 5 in particular because it's like
00:58:18like
00:58:19Half the story is explained by random npcs in random cities
00:58:23So
00:58:26Like you'll just run into somebody who just you'll just run into some into some rando, uh in the middle of nowhere
00:58:32Who just happens to have the entire backstory of n?
00:58:36And it's like oh
00:58:39Would have been great if you had this sooner
00:58:54Fucking
00:58:57Commander shepherd, my name is nasana danteus. I have a job for you. I can't say anymore in unsecured communication
00:59:05If you're interested in hearing my offer meet me on the citadel so we can talk in person
00:59:10I'll be waiting in the diplomat's lounge back spasm heartburn actually
00:59:23So
00:59:41Is red still here
00:59:53Hmm
01:00:08You're adorable, okay last message from her was you're adorbs. Oh i'm here. Ah, there you are. Ah good
01:00:18I didn't have anything to add to the discussion. That's okay
01:00:23So
01:00:28I just like your company
01:00:48I like your talk. Ah, you're sweet
01:00:53So
01:01:11I'm making blackberry jam. Ooh
01:01:24So
01:01:46Nobody's been here for a while
01:01:54According to these data logs the survey team unearthed some kind of alien technology
01:02:00We should check out the excavation site could be some answers there
01:02:03So
01:02:20It's interesting I got a lot of people basically saying oh my god
01:02:22You missed so many optional areas in the pokemon video. They never say what those optional areas were
01:02:29Interesting
01:02:33So
01:02:49Hmm
01:02:52So
01:03:02Then you got people basically going um, this isn't much of a con of a complete retrospective is it and i'm just like well
01:03:09I say what the actual purpose of the video is multiple times. So
01:03:14skill issue, I guess
01:03:21Hmm
01:03:31If the optional areas are so important to the story, why are they optional? Yep
01:03:51So
01:04:03Eat this
01:04:21So
01:04:36Hmm
01:04:52Hmm
01:05:12I bet 204 and uh, they can't name all the things you can do in goldenrod city alone. Yeah
01:05:21You know, it's funny I actually did do a fair amount of the
01:05:25Amount of the optional areas. It's just that there wasn't really anything that's in there to say like I did do mount mortar
01:05:32Uh, but you know, it's it's a cave with wild pokemon in it
01:05:46Fire in the hole
01:05:52So
01:05:57This accounts for all of
01:06:02This accounts for all of the exogeny survey team
01:06:04They were converted to cybernetic husks by devices similar to those used by the geth on eden prime
01:06:09How they came to be buried on a frontier world so far from the geth territory is a mystery
01:06:17I never even actually done the stuff in mount mortar. Yeah, most people don't
01:06:22So
01:06:24People go to mount mortar if they specifically want the tyrogue
01:06:37Ah
01:06:52So
01:07:04Come on
01:07:21Hmm
01:07:51Hmm
01:08:07Poor sweetie, oh, thanks friend
01:08:22So
01:08:40Hmm
01:08:51I
01:08:53Can make the help add to your points
01:08:56Like what does that they think these optional spots do to address your actual complaints?
01:08:59Ah, yes when I complained about how the game focuses too much on wanting chaos stall tactics like flinch spam
01:09:04Clearly that's an issue that is forgotten by there being a super boss hiding in a hotel room
01:09:08Uh, like I said, I don't know and I don't think they know either. They just heard somebody else say it and they're repeating it
01:09:16It's like when people say oh you skipped all the dialogue if you watch the video
01:09:20I so obviously didn't
01:09:23So
01:09:25So
01:09:27So
01:09:52Oh a rash
01:09:53Maybe it'll go away. Oh
01:09:56How am I gonna find a doctor i'll feel comfortable showing this
01:10:05Transform your water and live
01:10:09My family tree is big with branches stretching all across the country and we love to talk but we're wireless service providers talking

01:12:39Older woman calls me doll or even my lady. I melt
01:12:51I
01:13:00Also told the foreman aka my manager that you did say hi and uh as requested and she responded with a little heart
01:13:07Heart
01:13:18Sorry about that, it's cool
01:13:27I hit something that caused me to disconnect entirely. Oh no. Oh no
01:13:37So
01:14:07So
01:14:37It's actually sweet two are great we are
01:15:07So
01:15:38So
01:15:49Yep
01:16:08You can type that fast that's impressive. Oh, thanks
01:16:30We
01:16:38Hmm
01:16:46Looks like the signal's coming from that wreckage careful man. I've got a bad feeling about this. Yeah, it's a trap
01:17:07So
01:17:22It
01:17:37So
01:18:07Hmm
01:18:14Oh
01:18:16Hmm
01:18:37You're on a bed at 9 15, right
01:18:41Uh, we're gonna keep going till about 7 my time so about just just under another hour
01:18:46Okie doke
01:18:54I decided to take the day off from work today. Good. You deserve it
01:18:59Hmm
01:19:12That's neat what the wow devs unionized equalizing interior pressure nice
01:19:21The entire wow dev team nice 500 people
01:19:29Ooh
01:19:32Yeah, it seems like microsoft has been uh rapidly recognizing unions
01:19:38Yep, if that's the union that's not too long ago
01:20:00The deck looks like this vessel was abandoned everything shut down only basic life support is running
01:20:14Did you hear that sounded like footsteps that was no accident the whole place could be a trap
01:20:29So
01:20:47Hmm
01:21:00But jacob's not going to make it his brain was deprived of oxygen for too long
01:21:05There's nothing any of us can do for him now except let him die with dignity
01:21:09It's what he would want
01:21:11I'm more worried about julia now
01:21:13She's showing signs of severe depression
01:21:16I gave her some meds that should help but I better warn the captain
01:21:29So
01:21:41They say jacob's gone they say his brain isn't functioning anymore and they want to shut off his machines
01:21:48Jacob's the only thing in the world that matters to me. I don't know how to help him. It's tearing me up inside
01:21:54He just feels so helpless
01:21:56So damn angry
01:21:59Dr. Smith gave me some meds to calm down, but I didn't take them. I can't
01:22:04Not until I figure out a way to help jacob. I won't give up on him. I won't
01:22:29So
01:22:47Oh for fuck's sake
01:22:54Guys how many times do I have to say stay on topic for the stream?
01:22:59Yeah
01:23:02There's nothing more we can do for him, he wouldn't want to be kept alive by machines so we're going to disconnect the life support
01:23:09Dr. Smith is worried about julia's reaction though. She can't seem to let jacob go
01:23:14The stress is making her implants flare up causing intense migraines
01:23:19It'll probably be easier for everyone if we don't tell her until after we shut the life support down give her a chance
01:23:27Julia what are you doing here? Why are you?
01:23:41Now i'm ready
01:23:43So
01:23:51Looks like that machine is keeping him alive. I'm not seeing any brain activity on the readouts. He's dead
01:23:58This body is just an empty shell
01:24:03No point in leaving him there like a vegetable
01:24:06It's your decision shepherd
01:24:08But maybe we should wait until we know more about what's going on before we do anything
01:24:19You did the right thing shepherd
01:24:21Hmm
01:24:36Kessler four
01:24:51Hmm
01:25:06Hmm
01:25:17Hmm
01:25:21So
01:25:39Hmm
01:25:51Hmm
01:25:57Stand by shore party decontamination in progress
01:26:04His brain function shows he's dead definitely not the bullet hole I just put through him his brain scans show that he is cheese
01:26:13The commanding officer is aboard exo delicious
01:26:21So
01:26:52So
01:27:07Hmm
01:27:21Message coming in
01:27:23Passing it through
01:27:25Normandy, this is alliance command
01:27:27We're detecting your presence in the attican beta cluster
01:27:31One of our surveillance drones was gathering intel on get activities in the region when it was spotted and shot down
01:27:39You need to go ground side and recover the drone's data module before the geth find it
01:27:51So
01:28:16Hmm
01:28:21Hmm
01:28:51Hmm
01:29:09Okay, check your dms I saw it
01:29:21So
01:29:33Level one hazard, it's a beautiful day
01:29:39This is the surveillance i'd be out of all that
01:29:46This will be fun
01:29:49A monkey-like creature appears to have made off with the data just lead the way
01:29:56I couldn't
01:30:18So
01:30:36What
01:30:48So
01:31:01Sun damage 1 hp 1 hp 1 hp. Oh dear
01:31:10The sun is a deadly laser
01:31:14No, the sun is a deadly laser
01:31:18Not anymore, there's a blanket
01:31:49So
01:31:53Prime directive, uh, prime directive girls prime directive
01:32:09Hmm
01:32:18Hmm
01:32:44Hmm
01:32:48So
01:32:54He dropped the data module it's a miracle the data module is still intact
01:32:59Joker should be able to transmit this info to a line. That was a little extreme wasn't it? Guess the little beast had it coming
01:33:15Oh
01:33:18So
01:33:34Damn it
01:33:38Oof
01:33:43Who attacked this station take a gift
01:33:48Oh, you're gonna make me start over. Oh, that's mean
01:34:18So
01:34:22This is the surveillance drone, but where's the data module
01:34:49So
01:35:06Hmm
01:35:18So
01:35:28Oh, this will be fun
