00:00Computer Science videos here today to show you guys in this tutorial how to
00:04duplicate an audio file from a USB to a Mac computer using terminal on terminal
00:09commands. Without further ado let us start the video. So in this tutorial you
00:14need to have access to a Mac computer, access to a USB flash drive, be able to
00:19use terminal as well as the terminal commands. So we're gonna start this
00:22tutorial. Let's now go all the way down to the dock, open up the finder, now insert
00:28the USB flash drive into the Mac computer. Let's just wait for that to
00:33load. It has loaded, go to favorites, locations, Kingston and the audio file we
00:40are working with is on screen. So let's now minimize, finder for the moment, go
00:44all the way down to the dock, again go to launchpad, search for terminal, open up
00:48the command prompt, increase the size of the terminal window as well as the text
00:53size, command plus a couple of times. Now let's clear everything on screen,
01:00navigate to the desktop using CD, desktop, list everything on screen using LS minus
01:11L and now navigate into volumes and Kingston, CD slash V tab K tab semicolon
01:24LS minus L and there we see the audio file on screen. Let's now go all the way
01:32down to the dock, go to finder, decrease the size of the finder window, move that
01:38to the bottom right corner of the screen and so then we can see everything
01:42simultaneously occurring in real time. The command to copy and paste the audio
01:50file from the Kingston USB to the desktop is CP minus O hyphen capital R
02:02and then where the file itself is located in as we're already in Kingston
02:09we can bring that up in the command and now the destination to where the audio
02:18file will move to which is the desktop. So option N tilde slash desktop, return
02:28and there we go the audio file has copied and pasted itself from the
02:36Kingston USB to the desktop. So we can now quit finder, clear everything on
02:45screen, change directory, quit terminal, eject the Kingston USB and so that's the
02:59end of this video. I'll see you guys in my next tutorial. Thanks for now. Thank you for
03:05making it towards the end of the video. Be sure to subscribe to my channel
