00:00Just following up on that, Kareem,
00:02what's the mood of the staff right now?
00:03I think it's — Oh, I'm sorry.
00:05No, it's all right. I'm just curious.
00:07Is there melancholy? What's the exact mood right now?
00:10I think it's a little bit of what I just said to Karen.
00:13I think there's a lot of pride in the work
00:15that we've been able to get done
00:16under this leadership of this president.
00:19I think that there's a lot of understanding.
00:21There's a lot more work to be done in the next six months.
00:24We're energized.
00:25And, look, I mean, I'm not going to be very honest.
00:28It's been hard. It's been very hard.
00:31You know, when you do these jobs,
00:35you believe in the work ahead.
00:36You believe in the leadership of the person
00:39that you're working for, this person being Joe Biden.
00:42And so it has been a tough couple of weeks,
00:46but we are so full of pride of what we've been able to get done.
00:51And now there's six months left.
00:53I noticed — and maybe I misread it —
00:56but when you had your prepared remarks at the very top,
00:59it seemed as if you got a little emotional,
01:02talking a little bit of — no, I missed that.
01:04Did you misread that?
01:05No, I mean, no. I mean, it is — I mean, I've said it.
01:07It's an emotional moment for everyone, you know, including me.
01:11It's an emotional moment, you know?
01:13This is — you know, you do these jobs.
01:16They don't pay all that well, as you know.
01:19You guys have tough jobs as well.
01:21And it takes you away from your family.
01:24You don't sleep as much.
01:27They are, you know, 24-7 jobs, for sure.
01:30And you do it because you believe in the work,
01:33whether you're — whichever side of the aisle you're in, right?
01:36I would hope and think that people who do these jobs
01:40believe that you're going to make people's lives better,
01:43right, or you're very much connected to the issues
01:45that you're working on.
01:47I think that's important.
01:48So, yes, it's emotional.
01:49It's emotional.
