00:09Well first off, I was disciplined as a kid, a lot. I was sprayed with a fire extinguisher once when I said no. I was hit with a flashlight. Um, that sucked.
00:19I was spanked repeatedly. I was hit in the face.
00:23Shit happens. Um, but I think that if I were ever a parent I would maybe ground my child mostly. Like grounding seems to be pretty effective and you don't need to get violent with your kid.
00:35I feel like when you hit your kids it kind of says I don't love you and that to me feels really really sad.
00:43Like one time I was hit in the face, I was slapped in the face and I never felt like my parent loved me less than in that moment.
00:52Because it's like how could you hit your kid in the face when you love them, you know?
00:56So if I'm ever a parent I'm not going to hit them in the face, I'm not going to hit them with a fire extinguisher or spray them with a fire extinguisher or hit them with a flashlight or anything like that.
01:03Which is just, you know, freak stuff. It's not like super duper whatever.
01:07But yeah, that's how I feel about punishment in general. It's just like, you know, you should do the least amount of damage as you can to get the point across.
