00:00Nala, the Belgian Melanois, was a beloved pet and faithful companion to her owner, Ethean

00:08Kee.

00:09Unfortunately, she is the latest victim of a spate of poisonings that have claimed the

00:14lives of 30 dogs over the span of two weeks in Tanjung Bunga, Penang.

00:20Nala is the second pet dog after Lilu, the husky, to die from poisoning.

00:25The others are strays.

00:27Kee said everything was normal as he spent the evening with Nala at his condominium's

00:32compound on July 18, with no change in her behaviour or appetite.

00:37However, the next day, he found Nala convulsing on the floor.

00:42Despite rushing her to the vet, he failed to save her.

00:46He said it never crossed his mind to have Nala autopsied by the veterinary services

00:50department and that he only wanted to quickly give her a final farewell and have her cremated.

00:57Kee, who spent hours training Nala so that she was sharp, agile and followed orders with

01:03precision, wants justice for Nala and solutions to prevent such incidents from recurring.
