00:00with the crowd, let's stay as one unit, and the second ask I have for all of you is to
00:05sit down. We're taking the streets and we're sitting down here to make our demands heard.
00:11So please, take some space, get comfortable, we're not going anywhere.
00:31Everyone in the back, everyone that came here to protest the genocide, I want to see you
00:37sit down. Everyone in the very back, I want to see you sit down. I don't want to see anybody
00:41standing guys, let's go. We're here for a sitting, we're here to make our demands heard,
00:46so let's sit down. A little bit of dirt doesn't compare to what's happening to our people.
00:51This is a small sacrifice for our people in Gaza.
01:00My friends, today, after directing a nine-month long campaign of genocide against our people
01:09in Gaza, after murdering nearly 189,000 of our people, after being convicted of war crimes
01:22in the world's largest court, Benjamin Netanyahu was welcomed into the U.S. Congress.
01:31With open arms and emphatic applause. Shame!
01:40During his long, one-hour speech dehumanizing our people, he fabricated stories and retold
01:47history using claims of rape and beheaded babies that were debunked by even his own
01:54country's news outlets. Shame!
01:59He dehumanized our people in front of the merchants that sell the weapons that finish
02:05his job for him. Shame!
02:10Today, Netanyahu made an emphatic plea to the U.S. war machine. He tried to justify
02:18the slaughter of 189,000 of our people, saying the forces of quote civilization must triumph.
02:28Shame!
02:32We must remember that the bombs that fall on our people in Gaza are made in the U.S.,
02:38are funded by the U.S., the military gear that the I.O.F. wears is funded by U.S. taxpayer
02:44dollars, and the companies that make the weapons of mass destruction are based here,
02:50in the U.S. and in Canada, in the heart of empire.
02:56Netanyahu, the commander-in-chief of one of the most destructive bombing campaigns in
03:02modern history, has been able to blow up and destroy 70% of Gaza's infrastructure only
03:10because of the support he receives from Washington.
03:17Without the billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars, the unconditional diplomatic support, and
03:23the steady shipment of arms from the U.S.-manufactured bombs to the I.O.F., the genocide of Gaza
03:31would never be possible. So when he says that America has Israel's back, he was right.
03:39Because when he lied to Congress today, saying Israel didn't kill anyone in Rafah, he said
03:45that Israel has been graciously allowing the aid to flow into Gaza, and that he needs more
03:51tools to finish the job even quicker, he was met with a standing ovation.
04:00Are we going to allow Netanyahu, the butcher of Gaza, get away with these lies?
04:06Are we going to allow him to disrespect the thousands of martyrs that he has killed with
04:12his warplanes and his bombs?
04:16My friends, as we gather in front of the U.S. consulate today, we must identify that this
04:21consulate is a site of U.S. violence. This consulate represents the shared values of
04:28Israel and the U.S. that was received with a standing ovation today in Congress.
04:36So today, as we take to the streets, we join the thousands and thousands that filled the
04:44streets of Washington, D.C. to disrupt Netanyahu's invitation.
04:52Today, in line with the arrest warrants requested by the prosecutors at the International Court
04:58of Justice, we join the millions of people across the world to demand the arrest of the
05:04criminal Benjamin Netanyahu. As Israel continues to be isolated globally, Netanyahu can no
05:14longer hide. He will soon be charged with genocide.
05:21Netanyahu, you can't hide!
05:23Netanyahu, you can't hide!
05:25Genocidal maniac Benjamin Netanyahu.
05:31We demand the arrest of this war criminal.
05:38He has been smearing lies at the U.S. Congress today, and the American sheep clapping and
05:46believing what he said, rather than believing their own eyes.
05:54Are you ready to have your voices heard by the world?
06:01I want to hear the rage and the anger that you have inside.
06:05I want to hear resistance in your voices.
06:10Free, free Palestine!
06:13Benjamin Netanyahu, a war criminal, because the U.S. changed.
06:19Because the U.S. and Canada have made this genocide possible.
06:24Their investments into weapons manufacturing companies, them sending weapons to Israel,
06:30have made the genocide possible, which is why they hosted him and then gave him multiple
06:36standing ovations.
06:41We are nine months into a genocide.
06:44We know people, our friends, our family, Palestinians in this city who have lost hundreds
06:50upon hundreds of family members in Rafah, in Gaza, in Palestine, and war criminal Benjamin
06:56Netanyahu is denying this.
06:59Shame!
07:02We must continue to amplify the media that is coming out of Gaza, from Rafah.
07:08We must do our part and continue showing up to actions that put pressure on the state
07:14to end complicity in war crimes and in a genocide.
07:18It is our responsibility to continue showing up.
07:26We now know that it is a lot more than 40,000 people who have been killed by the Israeli
07:33state.
07:34We now know that it is over 180,000 people who have been martyred in Gaza, in Palestine,
07:41and our taxes are complicit in their blood, in their murder.
07:46Shame!
07:48Shame!
07:51Justin Trudeau you will see!
07:56And we will be reading out a few stories as well in the next few minutes, but of course
08:01we cannot encapsulate the gravity of the situation at hand.
08:05180 plus thousand people have been murdered in a brutal way, in a violent way.
08:13Shame!
08:16And we have been showing up month after month, week after week, and the state continues to
08:23ignore the people.
08:24The US, Canada, the Western imperial world continues to ignore the people.
08:30They continue to send weapons.
08:32They continue to fund war crimes and we must, must stand up against it.
08:37It is not fair to the innocent children who are being murdered, the orphans, the women
08:42who are being left without husbands, the husbands who are being left without children.
08:46It is not fair to the Palestinian people if we do not do everything in our power to apply
08:52pressure, to end complicity in war crimes and in genocide.
08:56This is a genocide of Gaza and Rafah and Palestine who have been murdered.
09:04But what we can do is continue showing up and continuing to apply pressure at the institutional
09:11level, at the state level, at whatever level you can possibly contribute to or show up
09:16at.
09:17We must continue applying pressure until Palestine is free.
09:22In my laptop I will see genocide.
09:26It is almost a year of genocide, of bloodshed.
09:33We are at over 100,000 martyrs.
09:38Shame!
09:40Shame!
09:42Every day we will protest in our daily lives by coming here to make sure that we charge
09:50people like Netanyahu with genocide.
09:53Netanyahu has been platformed by the United States government, by Joe Biden, the butcher
10:00of Gaza.
10:01Shame!
10:03Netanyahu who is single-handedly responsible for the death of 100,000 or more of our people.
10:11Shame!
10:16We handed out placards today with martyrs and their stories.
10:22Please hold them up high.
10:25There are 100,000 people with stories.
10:29We don't have enough placards to share theirs.
10:32But please remember that it's 100,000 or more people, precious people, people with
10:38families and loved ones and jobs and lives and hobbies and a desire to live whose lives
10:45were taken away from them by force by a genocidal Zionist entity, an occupation.
10:53Shame!
10:54Shame!
10:57How come, how is it allowed that Netanyahu and Yoav Galant who have warrants, warrants
11:05for their war crimes outstanding by the ICC, how is it allowed that they are to enter Congress,
11:14that they are to roam the world free?
11:16Shame!
11:17Shame!
11:20We want you all to channel the anger, the righteous anger that we all feel.
11:27In this moment today, hearing Netanyahu speak today to the American Congress after he was
11:34invited by both sides of the aisle, both parties, to speak was crazy.
11:41Shame!
11:42Shame!
11:45We live in an insane moment where this is allowed, where this is possible.
11:50But what's good is that now, in this moment, we are the closest we have ever been to liberation.
11:58We have never been this close to liberation.
12:03And we know and we will make it happen and we are certain that liberation is going to
12:09happen within our lifetime.
12:13No matter how tough the situation gets, no matter how hard it is to read the news, to
12:19hear news about your family members, about people you know, about friends, about strangers
12:24whose lives are being impacted or taken by the occupation, please remember that they
12:30are doing this for a reason, because we are close.
12:34We are so, so close to liberation.
12:43We have a few more speakers for you today, but before that, I want us to try a new chant
12:49in Arabic.
12:50I'm going to say something and you guys will respond with,
12:55America is the head of terrorism.
12:57Let's try it.
12:58What I'm going to read is for Rifat Al-Arir, born on September 23, 1979, and Israel took
13:06his life on December 6, 2023.
13:09He was a Palestinian writer, poet, professor, and activist from Gaza.
13:15Al-Arir was born in Gaza City during the Israeli occupation, which he said had negatively influenced
13:23every move and decision he made.
13:26Al-Arir earned a BA in English in 2001 from the Islamic University of Gaza and his master's
13:34from University College London in 2007.
13:38He earned a PhD in English literature from Malaysia in 2017 with a dissertation on John
13:45Donne.
13:46He taught literature and creative writing at the Islamic University of Gaza and co-founded
13:52the organization We Are Not Numbers, which matched experienced authors with young writers
13:58in Gaza and promoted the power of storytelling as a means of Palestinian resistance against
14:05the occupation.
14:07On December 6, 2023, Al-Arir was killed in an Israeli airstrike in northern Gaza.
14:15Shame!
14:16Shame!
14:17Shame!
14:18Along with his brother, brother's son, sister, and her three children.
14:25Shame!
14:26Shame!
14:27Euromed Monitor said that he was targeted, surgically targeted and bombed out of the
14:35entire building after a few weeks of death and continuous death threats that Rifat received
14:42online and over the phone.
14:45Shame!
14:46Shame!
14:47My second murder story is Dr. Hammam Mahmoud Hussein Al-Loh.
14:53Dr. Hammam Al-Loh was a doctor specializing in kidney transplantation, a rare specialty
15:01in the hospitals of Gaza.
15:03He worked as a consultant in kidney diseases and transplantation after completing his studies
15:10in Yemen and Jordan.
15:12He refused to leave Gaza and was determined to serve its people.
15:17In his last interview at the Shifa Hospital, when asked by an interviewer why he didn't
15:24leave, his response reflected the greatness of the entirety of Gaza and its people.
15:31He said, I studied medicine for 14 years.
15:35I studied medicine for 14 years, not for myself, but for my patients.
15:40I did that so that I can stay with them.
15:43And if I leave, who will treat them?
15:47Dr. Hammam was murdered in a Zionist airstrike that
15:57targeted the courtyard of the Shifa Hospital.
16:00Of the Shifa Hospital, one of the many times they targeted the hospital.
16:05While he was fulfilling his religious, ethical, and national duty to the Palestinian people
16:11on November 11, 2023.
16:15Shame!
16:16Shame!
16:17Shame!
16:19My third murder story is Batool Mohammed Al-Hassani.
16:24Batool is an eight-year-old child who loved life and had many dreams.
16:30She adored her pets and enjoyed drawing.
16:33Moments before her martyrdom, she was playing with her sister and cousins.
16:37And Batool narrowly escaped death after an Israeli airstrike hit their home in the
16:43sheltered refugee camp.
16:45She was rescued that time from under the rubble by her father.
16:49And then she was martyred in another Israeli airstrike on the home where her family sought
16:54refuge for safety in the Karara area.
16:57In the midst of Gaza on October 25, 2023.
17:03Shame!
17:04Shame!
17:05Shame!
17:06Shame on them!
17:12And then we're going to continue with the martyr stories afterwards.
17:20I can't hear you!
17:25Who doesn't speak Arabic?
17:30This chance is going to be a little different.
17:32Everyone say,
17:36But before we do that, we're going to introduce our next speaker.
17:40Dr. Mohamed Razwan Mehannes.
17:44Doctor based out of Toronto, Canada.
17:46Who practices in regenerative pain medicine and urgent care.
17:50Ambassador with Humanity Exelon.
17:54Dr. Mehannes had the unique privilege of witnessing firsthand the devastation in Gaza.
18:01During a severe humanitarian crisis.
18:04Working tirelessly in a makeshift ER.
18:07He was confronted daily with the overwhelming challenges of inadequate supplies and infrastructural damage.
18:15His plan is to go back to Gaza in future missions and create awareness for Palestinian justice.
18:22Please welcome him, please.
18:28Good evening guys.
18:29I just came from my work, so I'm going to make this short.
18:33Because you guys have seen everything.
18:37I'm not a Palestinian.
18:39I'm not an Arab.
18:43I am a human being.
18:45And I'm a father of three children.
18:48As a medical doctor with Humanity Exelon, I did have the privilege to go down to Gaza.
18:53And work in the emergency room department over there.
18:56I worked there for about two to three weeks.
19:00And my question is, what more is there need to be said?
19:04What have we not seen enough of?
19:07Children with blood-soaked shoes.
19:13Have you not heard enough?
19:15The cries of parents echoing in fear and pain.
19:18Losing their only child.
19:23These images haunt us.
19:25And their voices should compel us to act.
19:29When I was there in the emergency room, you see what the population is.
19:34The population is 60% kids and women.
19:38That's what you see in the emergency room.
19:43From starvation, due to lack of medication, people are going through heart attacks.
19:49Because they don't have their diabetic medications.
19:51And believe it or not, two gunshot wounds, deliberately targeted on children's limbs.
19:56Not one, not two, twenty and thousands of times.
20:04I am not seeing these images online.
20:06I actually don't go online to check. I've seen this firsthand.
20:11The top UN court just declared Israel's presence in the occupied Palestinian territories illegal.
20:17So it is illegal. Let's not sugarcoat this.
20:21Let's be honest. There's no need to make a political statement.
20:25This is a genocide against the Palestinian population.
20:28In the hands of not only Israel, but the USA.
20:36I am not hiding my words. They are the real terrorists.
20:48They are the real terrorists, justifying the killing of innocent children and then celebrating on their graves.
20:59I'm not here. I'm here to tell you all to take action.
21:02Because inaction is also complicity.
21:05Boycott products as much as you can.
21:09Educate others. Educational education is important.
21:13And pray for the people in Palestine.
21:17They are also human beings, deserving of peace, dignity and a future free of fear.
21:23We cannot turn a blind eye. Long live Palestine.
21:32I'm having to come out every single weekend, asking for the same demands over and over again.
21:39All these politicians, all they care about is money, power and influence.
21:46We have to make it known. We have to make it heard.
21:49The power of the people that are here right now, this is what counts.
21:54Look around you. This is history being made right here in downtown Toronto.
22:00All of you are part of it.
22:02As he tried to justify the genocide committed by his cowardly army in Gaza.
22:08Shame! Shame!
22:13This war criminal attempted to invoke the Holocaust, to justify his crimes in a very transparent attempt.
22:22This war criminal attempted to invoke the Holocaust, to justify his crimes in a very transparent attempt.
22:31To use the victim narrative to justify the crimes in Gaza.
22:36Shame! Shame!
22:43There will be no new Gaza, as this coward said.
22:48All of the free people of the world know that Gaza will remain an integral and inseparable part of Palestine.
22:58The legendary steadfastness of our people and the power of Palestine is the power of the children.
23:07The power of the stones.
23:09The power of the men that fight tanks with conviction.
23:19The women that remain steadfast in the prisons.
23:24The power of our brave oppressed people is not in their ability to liberate.
23:30It's in their ability to liberate and open the eyes of the entire world to the reality.
23:37The reality that we live in a world with a political class.
23:42Where Trump, Biden, Kamala Harris, Justin Trudeau, Melina Joy, their only loyalty is to money.
23:50They absolutely do not have our best interest in mind.
23:57They don't have the oppressed people, the innocent people interest in mind.
24:02They have their personal interests.
24:05The interests of those who are already rich and powerful in mind.
24:11For them, it doesn't matter that 45,000 people have been brutally killed.
24:17Even if it means Israel can continue to exist.
24:20If it means that Israel can continue to make billions in profits every year.
24:27For shame! Shame!
24:33Free Palestine!
24:35I think we're just getting them lined up.
24:38But I propose to take a few minutes just to think about what every single martyred life means.
24:45Every life lost is a story.
24:48Every life lost is aspirations, dreams that people have ripped away from them in a way that is so incredibly unjust.
24:57In a way that is fueled and maintained by our complicity.
25:01We must humanize every innocent Palestinian who was martyred, who are continuing to be murdered by the Israeli genocidal state.
25:11We must do our part to not forget them, to say their names, to bring them up.
25:17Especially given that we are living in the imperial core.
25:21Our taxes, our tuition dollars, everything that we do is somehow complicit in the genocide and the murder of innocent Palestinians.
25:30Shame! Shame!
25:34So continue to show up, continue to speak out and to take charge.
25:39To push your places of work, the places you study, the places you go to earn money.
25:44To do the right thing, to support Palestinians in our communities who are grieving the loss of land, the loss of loved ones, of family, of friends.
25:54But beyond that, to make sure that our tuition dollars are not complicit.
25:59Our jobs, our taxes are not complicit in the genocide and murder of innocent Palestinians.
26:06And with that, we will be reading a few of our martyr stories.
26:18He's a martyr journalist and worked as a correspondent for the Cairo News Channel.
26:25He used to embrace children at the Shifa Hospital to reassure them and try to ease their fear due to the Israeli bombardment.
26:34He was a kind-hearted, gentle and loved man by all his colleagues.
26:41In every gathering of friends, he was present.
26:45And when absent, everyone asked about him.
26:50Ahmed was martyred in an Israeli bombardment while covering the news at the entrance of the Shifa Hospital on November 14, 2023.
27:01Shame! Shame!
27:04Let us remember his name, Ahmed Fatima.
27:08A dedicated journalist who lost his life while courageously documenting the harsh realities faced by the people of Gaza.
27:19Misk and Nakib. She was a year and a half.
27:24A year and a half!
27:27Shame!
27:30At only a year and a half, she was described as very smart, being able to count till 10 in Arabic and English.
27:39On October 22, 2023, the house of her relatives where she was already taking refuge in was bombed.
27:48Shame! Shame!
27:52And all her uncles and cousins were martyred.
27:56Misk was going to be a big sister.
27:59Her mother was 8 months pregnant with her baby brother.
28:04Misk and her pregnant mother went to live in her grandfather's home near the hospital.
28:10And on December 2, 2023, Israeli occupation forces bombed the house.
28:17Shame! Shame!
28:20And both Misk and her mother and her unborn brother were martyred.
28:28Shame! Shame!
28:32Khaled and Salah Hassan Jadallah.
28:37Khaled and Salah were 27-year-old twins who loved each other and were as close as friends as anyone can ever be close to their twin and their best friend.
28:50They did almost everything together.
28:53They used to work out in the gym together and enjoyed arguing with each other and others that went to the gym.
29:00And they argued about who had more muscles saying, wait until summer and you'll see our muscles.
29:07Khaled and Salah tried to migrate once.
29:11They went to Turkey but were unable to stay there.
29:16And then they returned to continue their work, their search for work in Gaza without any success
29:23until they were ambushed by an occupation aircraft along with their family at their home on October 11, 2023.
29:32Shame! Shame!
29:35Samer Abu Dhaqqa.
29:38Samer Abu Dhaqqa was a Belgian-Palestinian journalist for Al Jazeera.
29:45Samer hadn't seen his family for four years.
29:50Al Jazeera even offered Samer at the beginning of this genocide to go and report from Belgium but he refused.
29:58He wanted to remain in Gaza and report on the atrocities that are taking place on the ground.
30:06He was murdered by being targeted.
30:10He wasn't just randomly murdered.
30:13He was targeted by the Israeli drone in Khan Yunis.
30:18Shame!
30:21He was already covering another massacre when he became the massacre.
30:27He bled for five hours.
30:30For five hours the paramedics could have saved Samer's life but the Israeli forces did not allow anyone to get to him.
30:40Shame!
30:43Not only was he murdered at the young age of 45 but he was left to bleed to death for five hours.
30:52Shame!
30:55Yamin Al Qatrawi.
30:58He was the firstborn son to his parents through a cesarean section due to pregnancy complications.
31:08It was likely that neither of them would survive the operation.
31:13Yet to his mother's joy he brought so much love and happiness to her life that she forgot all the pain and difficulties
31:25that she went through throughout her pregnancy when she saw him and she held him in her arms.
31:32He loved cake and celebrated every birthday with his favorite food.
31:37He always helped his mother in making that favorite food and his mother always described him as Yamin,
31:44the sweet, fair-skinned, yellow hair, blue eyes and small nose and most loving heart.
31:52She was always delighted to see him grow before her eyes as if she was saying to people,
31:58have you seen this handsome boy? He's my son.
32:03Yamin lost contact with his siblings on December 13th and it was discovered 50 days later that his house has been demolished over their heads.
32:1650 days under the rubble. Shame!
32:21His mother couldn't bid him farewell nor embrace his body for the last time as he remained buried under the rubble of the house.
32:31Shame!
32:35Resmiya Naim
32:38Our precious Resmiya, older than the fake state of Israel, she aspired to see her homeland free.
32:48Resmiya or also known as Im Aouni was born in 1937 in Beit Hanoun in Gaza.
32:58Resmiya had seven sons and three daughters.
33:01She didn't know how to read but that did not stop her from being a great example of ambition,
33:07patience and love and perseverance to all her children during their education journeys
33:15as she always encouraged them and pushed them to continue and to get the highest level of degrees
33:22where all her children became teachers and doctors and engineers.
33:27Resmiya planted the love of the homeland in her children's hearts as she taught them about Palestine and how connected they are to their roots
33:37and she planted the love of the Creator in the hearts as Resmiya has always been an inspiration and source of wisdom to them.
33:46On January 6th, 2024, we lost Resmiya because Israel murdered her.
33:55Shame!
33:58Israel murdered her but she was a martyr and she was murdered after the IWF specifically targeted that family house in Deir el-Balah
34:08again where they were seeking refuge.
34:11Shame!
34:15Moeen Samer Al-Sawafiri
34:20My dear child resided in Saudi Arabia.
34:23He then decided to go to Gaza to continue his studies in engineering, majoring in artificial intelligence.
34:31He had dreams and aspirations of completing his university studies and eventually got married in Gaza.
34:40He was cheerful, loved good for everyone and had a strong passion for drawing and appreciated everything beautiful and elegant.
34:50On December 2nd, as soon as he entered the house, a missile struck Moeen resulting in his death along with 27 other family members.
35:02Shame!
35:05My son Moeen is not just a number. He had dreams and he had aspirations like any other young person.
35:13That was Moeen's mother Rana Al-Sawafiri.
35:20She tells us about how the 20-year-old young man back then made this courageous decision to travel and move back to Gaza
35:29to pursue his studies despite leaving the comfort and not being in a besieged strip.
35:37He decided to go back to his homeland and remain there throughout this entire genocide until he was martyred.
35:45Shame!
35:48Ola Mokbel
35:51Ola was a 26-year-old young woman.
35:54She was a civil engineer and everyone acknowledges her intelligence and her sharpness, especially her colleagues at the university.
36:03She loved knowledge and constantly strived to improve herself.
36:08She miraculously survived after the occupation bombed their house on October 8th, 2023.
36:16However, on March 18th, 2024, so after almost more than five months of surviving that genocide,
36:26the occupation targeted her family's five-story house, reducing it to rubble.
36:32Shame!
36:37Ola wasn't martyred alone.
36:39She was martyred with her family members, except her sister and her younger brothers who are now left to fend for themselves.
36:46Shame!
36:49Hamze Al-Tahdouh
36:52Hamze was the eldest son of Al-Jazeera Gaza's bureau chief, Wael Al-Tahdouh,
36:59and he worked as a freelance journalist, just like his father.
37:04His mother and brother were martyred at the beginning of this genocide in Gaza,
37:09and all his writings were about losing his mother and his siblings and how much he longed for them.
37:17On January 7th, 2024, Hamze was martyred in a car bombing, also targeted, along with Mustafa Thuraya.
37:28Shame!
37:33The car was targeted, and as they were trying to introduce civilians,
37:38displaced by a bunch of other massacres and bombings that took place that morning.
37:44Wael Al-Tahdouh, Hamze's father, described Hamze as he was everything to me.
37:50The eldest boy, the soul of my soul.
37:53These are the tears of parting and loss.
37:56These are the tears of humanity.
38:00Dana Al-Sokka and Tawfiq Al-Farra
38:04Dana, a person with a very sweet soul, who loved everyone and was the kindest.
38:11Dana and her husband Tawfiq had been married for only four months
38:16when she discovered that she was pregnant with their first child.
38:20And she used to say, imagine, I'm going to become a mom.
38:24Tawfiq Al-Farra, her husband, was a dentist.
38:28Tawfiq was a gentle doctor who always comforted everyone around him until his last breath,
38:34making everyone laugh so that they wouldn't feel the pain.
38:39Dana, only at 23 years old, was martyred due to the targeting of their home in Khan Younes
38:46by an Israeli aircraft on October 25th.
38:49Shame!
38:52She and her husband Tawfiq and Tawfiq's sisters Reem Al-Farra and Hala Al-Farra
38:59and their unborn baby, along with many family members who were in that house, were martyred.
39:06Shame!
39:09Marwan Al-Sawaf
39:12Marwan worked as a sound technician in production companies and was an independent photographer in Gaza.
39:19He and his brother Muntasir survived an airstrike on their home in November,
39:25but their father and 47 family members lost their lives that day.
39:32Shame!
39:35They managed to survive and to keep pulling through.
39:39However, the occupation, insisting on annihilating everything and everyone in Gaza,
39:45killed and murdered Marwan and his brother by an Israeli airstrike on December 1st, 2023.
39:53Shame!
39:56Imam Hamad Abu Sakheel
40:00Imam Hamad's dream was to celebrate her eldest son's wedding, which was scheduled for November 23rd, 2023.
40:09She longed for the joy she'd experience when her son, whom she watched grow up, reached the age of marriage,
40:17and she said,
40:18Finally, I will rejoice in him. Can it be true?
40:22I will celebrate with Muhammad.
40:24My heart feels the beauty of not missing out on his wedding,
40:28but there is a lump in my heart preventing me from fully rejoicing.
40:32May God bless me with the happiness and grant me the opportunity to have a wonderful wedding,
40:39inviting everyone and celebrating with seven nights of Hinnah.
40:44Hinnah is a pre-wedding party.
40:46This is the joy I have been waiting for my whole life.
40:51However, when the war broke out, she said,
40:55It's over. There will be no wedding. There will be no joy.
41:00How can we celebrate when people are sad and broken and there are so many martyrs?
41:06She did not know that she would become a martyr herself.
41:11She waited her whole life for Muhammad to grow up,
41:15and when he finally did and his wedding day approached,
41:19the occupation forces launched a missile on her street.
41:24She was among the victims and her dreams vanished along with her.
41:29Shame!
41:33Umm Muhammad was martyred in Gaza on November 5th, 2023.
41:39Our mother was taken away from us and all the joys of the world were lost,
41:44not only the joy of Muhammad's wedding, one of her kids mentioned.
41:51Dr. Muhammad Zahir Al-Nuno.
41:54Pharmacist Dr. Muhammad was the head of the pharmacy department at Al-Shifa Medical Complex
42:01before the start of the genocide.
42:04During Israel's raid of Al-Shifa, Dr. Muhammad refused to leave the hospital or abandon his patients
42:12and he insisted on continuing to treat the wounded.
42:17He was executed.
42:20Shame!
42:23He was executed by the Israeli forces in front of his patients.
42:28Shame!
42:33Hind Rajab.
42:35We all know Hind Rajab's story.
42:40A 60-year-old that was murdered by the Zionist entity on January 29th, 2024.
42:48I'm so scared, please come. Come take me. Please, will you come?
42:54Hind begged. Hind begged rescue workers to come save her for three hours.
43:00Imagine a 60-year-old begging for three hours and no one being able to respond to those cries.
43:07Shame!
43:10Hind was begging because her family car came under tank fire.
43:15So the Israeli occupation forces were so freaking close.
43:19They were so close yet they left her while listening to her screams.
43:24She was stranded inside that car along with dead relatives.
43:28Shame!
43:32At that time, Hind was the sole survivor.
43:36In that car were her family members and she was there crying alone.
43:43Yusuf Zaino and Ahmed Al Madhoon, working for the Palestine Red Crescent Society, tried to reach Hind.
43:53They tried really hard, however they were murdered by the same tanks and the same occupation forces,
44:00genociding everyone in Gaza.
44:03Shame!
44:06In addition to all of Hind's family, Hind and Hind, Yusuf and Ahmed,
44:13were deliberately targeted and murdered by the Israeli forces as they went to evacuate Hind.
44:22Shame!
44:26Haitham Sharif Harara
44:30Haitham was murdered on November 3rd in the attack of Feshifa Hospital along with close to 100 other casualties.
44:39Haitham was a journalist and in the first month of the genocide, he was working around the clock
44:47under the worst circumstances possible and at a great personal cost.
44:53He was working around the clock to tell the story of Gaza and its people.
44:59He sent updates regularly and maintained his professionalism and positive outlook through the most difficult days.
45:07His last words on a Facebook post on October 13th were,
45:13We will not leave, we will not go out, and you will only see steadfastness and certainty from us.
45:21And if there is to be an exodus, it will either be to our occupied lands or to Heavens.
45:27Ayat Faraone
45:31Ayat was 17 days old,
45:3517 days old when the Zionist entity brutally targeted her family home on October 15th.
45:43Shame!
45:46It resulted in her martyrdom along with her entire family.
45:51Massacred before her birth certificate was even issued.
45:55Shame!
45:58Tala Abu Muammar
46:02Tala was a child who had been living with her family in Egypt for the past four years.
46:09In July 2023, she traveled to Gaza while her father resided in Saudi Arabia after completing his medical specialization in Egypt.
46:20They attempted various ways to leave and be reunited with her dad but without a success.
46:27Tala's last words were, I'm done mama, I don't want to go to Baba's place, I just want to be a martyr so I can become a bird in paradise.
46:37She was killed by the occupation on December 20th, 2023.
46:43Shame!
46:46Tala's dream was to become a doctor just like her father, but that was never fulfilled.
46:54And for the last murder story, but as we all know there are literally thousands and thousands more, we have Erij Sakik.
47:03She's a mother and a wife.
47:06Her husband, Mohammed, spent 17 years full of love with her.
47:12They had two daughters and a son.
47:15She always cared for her home and children, encouraging them to study, strive and rely on themselves.
47:22She loved her husband and always sought to make her entire family happy.
47:28The last thing Erij said to her husband is, is your love pure for me?
47:36Mohammed got upset and she replied, may evil be very far away.
47:42God willing, we will be together, all of us, so that no one's upset with another.
47:48Erij was martyred along with her family, except for her husband, on November 13th, due to the Israeli occupation.
47:57Shame!
48:10Move your legs, move your arms.
48:14We're not leaving just yet, we're just making sure we're healthy.
48:21Shake your legs and repeat after me.
48:26I am a revolutionary.
48:30But remember, the revolution might go down or up, but never stop.
48:38And if we look around, we might miss some people that are not here, but remember that we are here.
48:45It's never been about numbers. It's never been about how many people stand with rights.
48:52It's about where you stand.
48:55The revolution started with a few people. It continued for the last hundred years.
49:00And here we are. Tell them from the river to the sea.
49:05After a hundred years, we consist to continue until full liberation from the river to the sea.
49:14We stand here, a few meters away from the heads of the terrorists in the world.
49:22In front of the American consulate.
49:27It's not the embassy, but one day we will reach the embassy.
49:32We will free Palestine from the river to the sea, and we will return.
49:37And when we talk about returning, we are talking about, I am returning.
49:51When he talked about Al-Quds, you know, they were clapping, and they thought it's their capital.
49:58But we know. We know. We know we will get it back soon.
50:08And we know it's a matter of time only.
50:12We might look and see the world stand with them, but we have something bigger than the world.
50:18We have Allah with us, and our faith that we are standing on the right side of history,
50:27and on the right side of human rights.
50:37And as a Palestinian, and as a refugee, as someone who grew up in a refugee camp,
50:43and my family still lives in this refugee camp, I just, I can't stop until we get it back.
50:52And when I look at my friends and my people in Gaza, I just, I can't stop until we get it back.
51:04And when I look at your faces here, I just say, we can't stop until we get it back.
51:19And when we talk about getting back, we mean it from the river to the sea.
51:27Intifada, after 10 months, we stand in front of those criminals, and we call for the Intifada.
51:39We should be proud of ourselves.
51:43They're trying to stop us from saying, from the river to the sea, because they don't know,
51:50we will free it from the river to the sea.
51:59After they hated that, we told them, okay, we will go from the river to the sea,
52:06then we will come back from the sea to the river to make sure it is free.
52:14From the sea to the river.
52:18Again, and as I miss this chant, Jannah, Jannah, Jannah.
52:24If you don't remember, or if you remember it, so when I say, you clap two times, okay?
52:31We don't have drummers, I don't believe we have one drummer.
52:34Should be enough? Okay.
52:38War criminal, Benjamin Netanyahu, said we don't know our history.
52:45But he doesn't know it yet, he'll be part of our history.
52:52We are the history, we are the present, and we are the future.
52:59He said, we don't know our geography, we don't know which river to which sea.
53:07So let's make it really clear for him.
53:10From Taba, the Egyptian town bordering the south of Palestine,
53:18to Marwahin, the Lebanese town bordering the north of Palestine,
53:25that's being bombarded for nine months,
53:30we'll say, from Taba to Marwahin.
53:37I'm just going to say a quick word.
53:40Next Thursday, on August 1st, will mark 300 days of genocide.
53:47300 days of daily massacres.
53:51Of our people being slaughtered.
53:55Of parents finding their children in pieces.
54:00Of children being orphaned.
54:03Of our people being tortured.
54:05300 days of genocide, and 300 days of us keeping going.
54:11Of us protesting.
54:13Of us standing against genocide.
54:19But we all have seen that recently our numbers have dwindled.
54:24We all need to feel the responsibility to keep showing up,
54:30to keep fighting for our people,
54:34to keep fighting for humanity, to keep fighting for justice.
54:39This is a responsibility on all of us here.
54:43This is a responsibility to keep showing up,
54:46to bring more people out to these rallies and actions,
54:49to get more organized, and to free Palestine.
54:54Because Palestine is ours.
54:59So we ask you to join our organization.
55:05We have weekly volunteer meetings,
55:10to join your neighborhood groups,
55:12to keep talking about Palestine.
55:15You don't need to work every day for Palestine,
55:17but you need to spend as much time as you can,
55:20because people are being slaughtered.
55:23And this is, again, I'm going to keep mentioning it,
55:27it's a collective responsibility.
55:30We show up to actions because we want our voices to be heard.
55:35But we want our voices to be heard as one.
55:38Because this is our strength.
55:40Our strength all united together.
55:47And we're probably going to have more actions again next week.
55:52We're going to keep the fight going.
55:55So we ask all of you to keep showing up.
55:57We ask all of you to help in organizing the movement for Palestine
56:02until its separation, until the U.S. is defeated,
56:05until Israel is defeated, until imperialism is defeated.
56:13And we're going to end it strong now with a cold shank.
56:15So we need everyone's voices to be as loud as possible.
56:20All as one. Free, free Palestine.
