00:00The RNC was in Milwaukee last week and a lot of the speeches we saw coming out of there is that the GOP platform this time around is way better than four more years of President Biden.
00:12So how do you see Republicans messaging change now that it isn't President Biden running again?
00:18It's the Biden team. You can ask, who was running the White House as his mental acuity declined?
00:25Who were the real players? Who were the real power wielders?
00:30And so Kamala Harris is going to say, oh, I knew nothing about this. I was powerless.
00:35Well, that doesn't say very good things about her. So she can't walk away.
00:40It's going to be very difficult for her, which is why they're going to try to hit Donald Trump, the devil incarnate,
00:46because if it focuses on the Biden administration, they lose and lose big and there's no way she can walk away from it.
00:53Michelle Obama could conceivably wash her hands of it.
00:57But even she would have to answer questions about, do you favor forcing people into EVs?
01:03And that's why and that's why, again, they want at least a VP candidate,
01:08the Democrats, who has none of the baggage from the Biden administration, which is very real.
01:14What we saw over the past two weeks was a united Republican Party in the wake of the assassination attempt of Donald Trump.
01:22We saw ever since really the presidential debate, a chaotic, panicked Democratic Party.
01:29But within the past 24 hours since President Biden did drop out, Kamala Harris did raise eighty one million dollars, record breaking there.
01:38Do you think, A, that this energized a Democratic base and B, should Republicans be worried?
01:44Well, given the crazy times we live in, the Republicans should not take this election for granted.
01:51There was a little bit of that complacency, a little bit of the celebration after Milwaukee.
01:57But even Donald Trump warned at a rally this past weekend, don't be complacent.
02:03We've got an election in front of us and make no mistake, they're going to hit the Republicans on Donald Trump, the devil.
02:11They're going to hit him on abortion. They're going to hit him on.
02:14Oh, they're going to take away your health care.
02:16Expect to see ads again with grandma in a wheelchair being wheeled off a cliff.
02:21Oh, they're going to take away Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security.
02:25Oh, they're going to these evil people.
02:27So those attacks, even though there'll be little truth in them, are going to be huge.
02:32And that's why the Republicans have to be prepared on issues and not get into personalities and ask those questions.
02:40Were you better off under Trump before Covid hit?
02:43Were you better off under Joe Biden?
02:45Who's going to let you keep your dishwasher?
02:47Who's going to let you keep your washing machine, gas stove and the like?
