00:00Kapuso, we are still here in Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City, one of the most affected by the heavy rainfall here in Quezon City.
00:12There are 92 affected barangays.
00:15And in the last few minutes, past 7 o'clock, the rain has partially stopped.
00:19It's only been a month.
00:21But just a while ago, the heavy rain started again.
00:25That's why the residents here in Tagumpay Village are slowly returning home to check on their homes and the things they left behind to fix.
00:37And it's still difficult to fix because the rain is still pouring down.
00:43And just a while ago, we talked to some residents here in Tagumpay Village.
00:48So now, we will talk to Tichi De Leon, the spokesperson of the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

01:03Ma'am, I'll go first. How is our monitoring in the whole of Quezon City?
01:07And how many barangays are still flooded?
01:14Yes, right now, our rescue operations are still ongoing for those who shouted out or sent messages that they need rescuing.
01:25And as of 10 p.m. last night, we already have 15,819 evacuees, families,
01:35totaling to 55,327 individuals.
01:39We have 227 evacuation centers and 93 barangays affected.
01:50How is their situation in the evacuation centers?
01:53Are the food, hygiene kits, blankets, and everything they need complete?
02:05Okay, in the evacuation centers, we make sure that there are hot meals being served from the city government.
02:13And then, the city health is there to monitor so that we can avoid getting infected with any disease.
02:21And we will make sure that the anti-leptospirosis medicine is available because of the flooding.
02:30And in fact, the city vet is also there to check the rescued dogs and cats.
02:37And then, Mayor Joy has a directive since last night.

02:43He also has counselors to help out in the evacuation centers so that we can take care of our Q-Citizens.
03:01Okay, we have an unconfirmed death in Barangay Bahay Toro.
03:07He is a family member, a husband and a son.
03:10And then, there is a missing person.
03:13But this is still unconfirmed.
03:15We have yet to confirm it after our 8 a.m. briefing with Mayor Joy Belmond.
03:24For now, what is the estimated damage to the entire city?
03:29We still do not have an estimate because our rescue operations are still continuous
03:34until everyone asks for help.
03:38Then, we will assess.
03:40And probably, we will have an initial assessment after the 8 a.m. briefing this morning.
