00:00Hey everybody and welcome back to It's Only Food with Chef John Polite.
00:04Today we're going to be showing you how to make creamy poppy seed dressing. Cue the music.
00:10♪♪♪
00:22Alright, well thanks a lot for watching. I appreciate you joining us from whatever platform you are on.
00:26Don't forget to like, subscribe, leave a comment down below, and then share this video and this channel with everybody you know.
00:33Like I said, we're going to be making creamy poppy seed dressing. Let's drop down here and see what our ingredients are for this.
00:38We have 3 quarter cups of mayo, quarter cup of milk, quarter cup of granulated sugar, quarter cup of some ACV,
00:462 tablespoons of poppy seeds, 1 teaspoon of some dry mustard, and a little salt and pepper to taste.
00:52Let's start mixing it up.
00:54Alright, get a bowl big enough for all your ingredients. Then we're just going to start adding our mayo.
01:05Got our milk.
01:08ACV.
01:11Sugar.
01:14Got your mustard.
01:17Salt and pepper.
01:20Got your poppy seeds. Star of the show.
01:24We're just going to mix this all up.
01:30There's our dressing. Let's take some pictures.
01:33Let's take some pictures.
02:03Alright, well we got those pictures done. Beautiful music to listen to while you're watching.
02:08Now let's dig into this salad.
02:10A little bit of greens with some strawberries, blueberries, avocado, and red onion.
02:17Let's get a strawberry on there. I'm just going to dip it a little bit in that.
02:21See how it clings to the salad? Dresses it very nicely.
02:25You can see the poppy seeds in there.
02:27We'll go ahead and take a bite.
02:33Mmm.
02:39Mayonnaise makes it smooth and creamy.
02:41Get that milk in there to thin it out a little bit. Add some more creaminess to it.
02:45The vinegar is giving it a little bit of acidity to make that stand out.
02:50Salt and pepper is bringing everything together.
02:52The poppy seeds are doing their job.
02:54Sugar makes it sweet, so it's a very good sweet and acidic dressing.
02:59The dressing is very good on this fruit salad here that we've got going on.
03:03Not actually a fruit salad, but a little bit of both.
03:06Nice spring salad.
03:10I'm going to pick up a bite on there with the lettuce.
03:13It does dress very nicely, clings very nice to the dressing.
03:21The great thing is about it, if you get it in a sealed container,
03:24you can keep it in the refrigerator for up to a week.
03:27Check your milk date that you added the milk to, and go from there.
03:31You can shake this up and use it again.
03:33Very convenient.
03:35Thanks a lot for watching.
03:37Remember the recipe is in the description box over the first pinned comment.
03:40Don't forget to see that.
03:41Like I've said, we made poppy seed dressing.
03:43I appreciate you watching.
03:45Take care of yourselves.
03:46See you next time. Bye bye.
