00:00There is 18 ongoing investigations, there's been 7 criminal convictions and 3 prosecutions
00:08ongoing.
00:09So this is by far, far and away not the first time this has happened at all.
00:15Because of all of that put together, what a lot of community groups are now saying is
00:19that look this is a rogue agency, they're not following the rules, they don't seem to
00:23care.
00:24Forestry Corporation says that it complies with the law and in fact says that it goes
00:27above and beyond the law to protect the forests.
00:30It's saying that it will assist the EPA with its investigation here.
00:35They're kind of limited in what they're saying because there is an ongoing investigation
00:38but a group that represents the timber industry, the Forest and Wood Products Association of
00:43New South Wales, has said that these complaints by community groups represent a kind of targeted
00:48campaign to make it look like Forestry Corporation is a rogue organisation.
00:53So those are the two sides there.
00:55Of course, there's also been a call now with Forestry just to end in New South Wales and
01:01I guess we've seen that already happen in Victoria and Western Australia in the past
01:05year.
01:06Native logging was stopped.
01:08So there is a push for that to happen.
