00:00So not only is the vice president the most prepared and qualified person, but these attacks

00:22that somehow it's because of her ethnicity, her race, that she's in her position are unfounded,

00:32they are disgusting and offensive, and I just want to say this, they're not only attacks

00:40on her.

00:42When they have attacks on DE&I, they're attacks on you and I.

00:47We are a multiracial, multigenerational society.

00:51This is what Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans don't want to accept.

00:57We're not going back to the days that we're not counted as full citizens.

01:01Again, I represent one of the most diverse districts demographically in the country.

01:07Strong and vibrant African American community, politically active, 30% Latino, the fastest

01:16growing AANHPI community, and all the other communities that I represent.

01:24The attacks on DE&I are an attack on all of us, and so Donald Trump and other Republicans

01:31who are waging these anti-DE&I attacks are not only doing it against the vice president,

01:38they're doing it against all Americans, and it must end, it must end now.

01:44And it is embedded in Trump's Project 2025.

01:49It's part of their agenda to dismantle, to defund diversity, equity, and inclusion in

01:55government, in the private sector, to bully the private sector into believing that this

02:00is not a business imperative.

02:02They are trying to do it in our college campuses, in our medical schools, and the Congressional

02:07Black Caucus has held the line against these attacks, and we understand where they're coming

02:13from.

02:14They're very well funded attacks, but it's part of a larger agenda, and that is why this

02:20election is so consequential, but guess what?

02:24We're not powerless, because when the people show up and vote, in record numbers, as we've

02:30done in prior elections, and as we will do in 2024 for Vice President Kamala Harris to

02:36be the 47th president of the United States, the people will win.
