00:00According to league policy, the Raiders' decision to hold training camp near L.A. means they're
00:06essentially infringing on the home territory of both the Rams and the Chargers, and because
00:11of that, they'll be facing new restrictions.
00:14Not only are fans banned, but the team isn't even allowed to advertise the fact that they're
00:18going to be in Los Angeles.
00:20Also the Raiders are not allowed to invite any local media from the L.A. area.
00:24The team will invite a few season ticket holders and several VIPs to attend their practices,
00:28but pretty much everyone else is going to be shut out.
00:31So the Saints and the Cowboys as well?
00:33I mean, for me, you tell me, is Oxnard 75 miles, is it further than 75 miles from downtown
00:41L.A.?
00:42No.
00:43Okay.
00:44It says the Raiders are holding camp in Costa Mesa, which is about 40 miles from downtown
00:47L.A., and so I gotta think that the Chargers and the Rams don't really care that much about
00:56the Saints.
00:58And I would think that the Chargers and the Rams would both say to Jerry Jones, you do
01:01whatever you want to do, because if it wasn't for you, that's interesting being out.
01:05Who would care about who would care about this rule?
01:08If you're the NFL, isn't the goal to get as many people in front of these teams in a place
01:13where they're not located?
01:16Isn't this Jerry Jones's whole idea of how many babies will be born?
01:19It will be Charger fans and 2077 or whatever the hell he was talking about.
01:24Isn't this the entire point is to grow the NFL fan base outside of their home bases.
01:30So why would you didn't have you not have people go to these camps and make any sense?
01:36Well, think about it, though, like nobody's complaining about the Cowboys being in the
01:40Rams or Chargers home turf because the Cowboys were here in Southern California while the
01:46Rams were in St. Louis and the Chargers were so much further south in San Diego.
01:50No one cares about the New Orleans Saints coming to Southern California because the
01:54Chargers and Rams are like, we're not competing against the Saints for fans and money and
01:59eyeballs or whatever.
02:01But they know this.
02:02The Raiders are a much more popular brand even today in Southern California, by far
02:08and away over the Rams and Chargers combined.
02:11So they know that if they if the NFL doesn't clamp down on the Raiders, not only a will
02:17the Raiders have more people at their training camp practices than the Rams and the Chargers,
02:22like as if that matters, but they'll be cultivating a fan base and they'll be they'll be marinating
02:29that fan base here in Southern California.
02:31And the other part of it is, is that the Raiders only have a one year deal to have their training
02:36camp here in Southern California.
02:38The Raiders are going to go back.
02:40I go back to you.
02:41Why would you stay?
02:42Why not just go to Vegas?
02:43Like, I mean, go anywhere.
02:45Why would you come back here?
02:46And I bet that the question I have is, did the Raiders know this, these rules before
02:52they announced that?
