00:00Bala, I just wanted to get your take on the kind of push we have seen for employment.

00:04And you know, for budget after budget, we've been talking about what about the jobs,

00:08what are we doing about the jobs? Do you think that we have seen, at least

00:12for once, some very clear-cut allocation and push towards employment?

00:19It's a big move in my view, given the fact that EPFO does two things. One,

00:26it brings in the people who get employed. Once they get registered in the EPFO,

00:30they come in the formal sectors. And second, government incentivizing

00:35way of the EPFO contributions up to Rs.300, even for the four months up to certain period,

00:39especially for the new one, is also something that will create employment.

00:43In fact, I must mention that the way the gift city started originally in Gujarat,

00:48one of the big incentives that they gave about 12.5% of the employer contribution

00:52was given by the Gujarat state government. And that's one of the reasons,

00:55also, the companies started setting up their own entities in gift city, like KPI,

01:01like knowledge processing centers, and so on and so forth.

01:04So definitely, I think it will bring in the unorganized, the employment that happens in

01:08the unorganized segment will come to the organized segment that will create employment.

01:12Second big takeaway, which I saw about almost about giving one crore students intern. Often,

01:20I see people struggle to get intern in major companies.

01:24In fact, another top-minded companies have to employ close to about one crore people

01:30by way of providing intern for which they can use some bit of funding from CSR,

01:34which in my view is a great move. And given the fact that a lot of people are actually

01:39now getting out of the college or not in the college, they can get access to the corporate

01:44way of functioning for them to become employable for the future.

01:48This in my view is another big move that has been initiated. In fact,

01:51this in my view is a great thought which will not only serve the students who are looking for,

01:56who have an aspiration to get fulfilled by getting an employment.

01:59This is also something I see as a big, innovative, out-of-the-box thinking that I've introduced.
