00:00You hear good things, Josh, and you see things that are impressive, and I think it makes me wonder
00:06why Ryan Poles sounded so careful on Friday when he was asked about expectations for Caleb
00:12Williams' rookie season. I guess I understand why you don't want to attach playoff aspirations to
00:19his rookie season, why you don't want to be specific in terms of maybe things that coaches
00:25and general managers tend to avoid, but did you feel like he was being very careful when asked
00:31about what he expected from his rookie quarterback? Yeah, I did. I thought it was kind of
00:36interesting because almost every time we've asked Ryan the past couple years about expectations for
00:41whoever, a team, a player, it always comes back to taking the North, to making the playoffs,
00:45you know, pretty boilerplate GM stuff, and I think this time for him to basically say,
00:50our expectations are just to maximize Caleb's potential. We want to see him lean on the people
00:55around him. We want to see him respond to adversity. We want him to know he doesn't
00:59have to do it alone. I thought that was interesting, but I think that probably
01:02comes from the fact that everyone else is talking about the playoffs, like Caleb Williams
01:08is raising expectations. Caleb Williams is not tempering expectations, so I think from Ryan's
01:13standpoint, it's probably good to maybe have someone in the organization temper them when
01:18everyone is kind of raising that bar. So I didn't think it was noteworthy, but I think it's probably,
01:24it's just probably, what's the word I'm looking for? It's intentional just to try to ease some
01:30of the pressure off Caleb when he's kind of put a lot on himself.
