00:00Give us two Cubs who are going to have improved offensive years, and then we'll each give you one.
00:04We'll each give you one based on what we think.
00:07Okay, cool. Yeah, I mean, it's
00:09not a hot take, but I don't think Pete's going to have a 1500 OPS this year as he's shown in spring training.
00:16If he does, then I'm all for it, but
00:20I think just his skill set is one that he should have a
00:25really high floor, just with his speed and his ability to impact the ball.
00:30But you just talk about a guy that can do everything on a baseball field.
00:34It really gets exciting starting to think about what a full
00:38600 at-bats with another year of experience under his belt.
00:42This game is, it's so hard to make big, big improvements from year to year. So just to seeing him
00:48consistently build on last year, just like he did throughout the season last year, I think would be really exciting. And then
00:54Miguel Amaya, I think, is on a similar
00:57similar trend. Kind of feels like he's been around longer,
01:00but he didn't get a ton of at-bats in the higher levels of the minor leagues and has been learning
01:05to handle a pitching staff on the fly, as well as making adjustments to his offensive game. So I think coming into his own in a
01:13extended stretch of at-bats again, I think it would be really great.
01:16All right, so PCA and Amaya from Nikko. Nikko took mine. Miguel Amaya was going to be mine as well because of the work
01:23that he did
01:25towards the end of the season
01:27offensively, where even Craig Council stepped in and saw some stuff and wanted to work with him.
01:32So he was my pick to click in that regard. All right, I'm gonna give you Dansby.
01:36I just got a feeling about Dansby this year. And I saw today,
01:40hard-hit single on a curveball,
01:42sitting back and being patient. And then he drove one to the wall in right field.
01:47It's like, oh man, near oppo bomb. I just got a feeling about Dansby this year.
01:52So maybe I'm wishing and hoping, but I see it.
01:54Yeah, and I mean, I know there was so much made of Wrigley and the wind conditions last year, and that stuff was real.
02:00But I do think it impacts some players more than others. And
02:03Dansby's a guy that, if you look at his home run spray charts over the years,
02:07he's hit a lot of homers to the middle of the field in his career.
02:10And that's what really gets knocked down at Wrigley when it's bad. You know, left field's usually open.
